The portions will astound you, but not flavor is sacrificed! My corned beef hash was yummy! The mac was milder for my preference, but still good. Rice was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend's shoyu chicken was so good. I loveee their Andagi but so does everyone else! They sell out quick so be sure to go early. Best Andagi on island! The staff radiate aloha. They probably work very busy days, yet keep a smile on their faces! Very efficient too. We got our food before my boyfriend finished paying! Free parking, but no where to dine. We ate in our car! Would recommend everyone try out Ige's! Be sure to check their social media for special hours and specialities!

Two weeks ago, I saw a group on FB called 808 Best Lunch Wagons, Restaurants & Entertainments that…read moresomeone had posted the menu for Ige's and saw that Wednesday they would have baked spaghetti, my favorite going to school. Wednesday, had the internet fixed in the morning, picked up my cousin at 10:30 and she gave me directions to Ige's because all this time, I didn't know they were still in business. Oops. Ige's is located in the Waimalu area behind Goodwill on Kam Hwy. There's several small businesses back there and all these driveways, you can miss this place easily. On the main driveway, there's a bike path that crosses it, and an old guard shack. After this, you want to take the second driveway on the left. You know you're going down the right path when you see Guieb restaurant on the left, which I also didn't know was here. And drive all the way to the end. Ige's is the very last store on the left. You'll see the lunch line. They are only open for lunch from Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:30 am - 1 pm, so you should plan ahead. The regular menu differs each day and for now, the daily specials have remained unchanged. But to make sure, check out their IG @igesaiea. When you get there, they do have some grab and goes that are not advertised. As far as pricing, they are pretty reasonable, regular plates are between $13 - $16. However, the portions, let's say it's really heavy. My cousin got a mixed plate of chicken hekka and pork teriyaki. And I got the baked spaghetti, no rice, with toss and Mac salad. And the spaghetti filled half the plate with a good amount of height. Ige's is counter only, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Therefore there are no seats. I asked my cousin if she wanted to grab a table at Neal Blaisdell park down the street and she quickly declined. So we drove back to her house for lunch. My cousin did enjoy her chicken hekka and pork. I'm didn't get to taste it because I was too involved with my meal. At first glance, it wasn't the brick, lasagna-style like school where there was a thick layer of cheese on top. However, without the cheese, it was still tasted the same from what I could remember. Because the portion is heavy, my cousin could only eat a fourth of her lunch while I thought I better tap out at 1/3. So she didn't need to make dinner for her family while I had dinner and lunch for the next day. Although the interaction was short, the counter person was pleasant and very helpful. As you look into the kitchen, you can see a lot of people hustling back there as they also do catering. I'll be away for two weeks but I am looking forward to picking up lunch when I get back and I am definitely brining family here, I just need to figure out a good place for a picnic.

This food truck is so quick and so amazing!…read more The woman that took my order was so nice and so patient with me as I attempted to order for three people. I had a bunch of mixed up orders and she is the owner (I believe). She was so hospitable and sweet, I knew I was taken care of. I started with the spicy kalbi fries. AND WOW. Can I just say that whatever they use for it, they are genius. The kalbi fries have an amazing spicy kick, without too much, as well as a wonderfully sweet. The fries itself are crispy, and well made. The spicy sauce is just enough not to hurt you (which is important to people that can't handle spicy). The kanak attack plate came with everything you'd want! The laulau had such an amazing taste and the leaves (which is my favorite part) were so rich and so salty, I loved it! The chicken long rice was hearty and full of chicken pieces, I could not believe. I am so glad I added the spicy ahi! Poke is an additional $3, and you can choose between shoyu poke or spicy (and honesty either is incredible). Please check out their social media to find where they're at or give them a call! You won't regret it!

Overall the food is tasty but today they forgot the green onions and kamaboko toppings on our plate. The tempura wasn't hot and more room temp - a lil cold. The boneless kalbi was more so Teri roast beef, maybe braised short rib. Although it had a good flavor, it wasn't kalbi. The host was friendly and the food wait was ok.

(Ambiance) Whilst walking through the food court I realized most of the stores didn't really have a eye popping appeal like this resturant had. The pictures of the food on the TV's immediately caught my attention and lured me into the store. The place looked clean and the music filled the room (Food) In the store there were many drink options to choose from and they even have a fridge full of almost all monster energy drink flavors. I think out of all the stores in the food court they had the most diverse amount of drinks to choose from. Going there and getting the Spicy Pork and Meat jun it was very flavorful they are must try items. The sides picked in the front were so many to choose from, also placed with so much care by the worker in the front. (Service) The worker in the front was very kind and helpful and they were able to help me with what are some of the popular items to get. The service was fast and was cooked to order. Overall, I think this is a Highly recommended place to try when you visit the mall.

Food tasted pretty good except the poke. It looks decent, but tastes old and mushy. The sides were ok. We tried to order the garlic chicken, but they told me they put it away. I noticed the staff had intentionally left the phone on dead tone so they don't receive phone calls because it was a bit busy within the store. I told them about the phone originally because I could hear it and he did correct it until the phones started ringing again. Then I seen him purposely leave it on. Staff are friendly, but with the putting away of the food too early and not answering their phones is pretty mind blowing. I would think the owner is losing money when they don't receive phone orders and putting away food that would've been sold. Lots of parking and dining tables are outside.
