Great service and delicious food. The poke was delicious-I chose the spicy ahi. The rice was a bit hard, but the glass noodles, seaweed cucumber salad, and kalbi were also so ono! You order inside and eat outside in the food court-it was great weather and relaxing.

Decent Korean food. A bit pricey but I would say worth it. The meat Jun was my favorites and the sides were pretty good. Lady working In front was pleasantly nice. The wait time was fast and everything we had on our plate was so delicious. So if you're craving some Korean food, this place is worth a try!

Hungry for Korean take out?? I Love Korean BBQ located in the Kamakana Ali'i food court is your stop. Food- Never a disappoint, I like their Meat Jun & Kalbi. Tonight I couldn't decide. So, I got the combo plate for $24.99. It's a little pricey BUT well worth the price! I Love Korean BBQ for the taste, quality & care they put into their food! Your choice of sides is always placed onto your plate with care, and all of your food is neatly placed onto the plate. It's great how the kalbi and meat Jun was sliced for me. Service- I didn't get the young man name this evening. His customer service was exceptional. As he helped a customer with their order he acknowledged me and said, "I'll be right with you, I'll be with you in a minute." He kept in mind I was there and continued to acknowledge me there. Ambiance- Casual Clean Well lit If your looking quality take out Korean BBQ make this your stop. You too will say I Love Korean BBQ

Located in the kamakana alii mall food court. I ordered the spicy pork and it was terrible. The food does not seem like it is marinated. The pork seemed like they grilled plain meat and slathered sauce onto it. It was bland. The sides... the long rice had no taste and I knew it before even trying it, color was so light compared to most Korean spots. Everything was just bland. Take the drive to another spot... most times I'll say to try it and decide for yourself but I can't say that with here. For me it was just terrible food.

Ka Makana Ali'i shopping center has a lot of great places to eat, wish we had more of these great grinds on the Windward side. The food (I got the kali bi) was good, the meat was tender and tasty. The service was absolutely horrible! There's a line to order, wait to select your banchan and then wait for your food. On this day that I visited, there was only 2 guys working the front, 1 guy running the register and 1 guy plating the banchan so meticulous on the plate that it was an art work (not joking) - even the boss lady in the back scolded this guy for how he plated the banchan . These days it's so hard to find workers, let alone good workers, I hope this lady who looked the the owner remembers that. the banchan selection was great and tasty, it's a small take out place with no tables for dine in but lots of tables outside. I must have waited 45 mins for my Kalbi plate. Would like to return this place when I'm in the area, but the service would give me a second thought.

    19. BBQ Chicken & Meat Jun

The food was great, we had the meat jun and chicken combo #19. The side items were a great addition to our meal. I would like to give a shout out to the young men who took our order and helped us. They were SUPER friendly and kind. Made our experience extra special. Give this place a try, two thumbs up!

    7. Meat Jun (Mini) with Kimchi ahi

Mini meat jun with kimchi ahi was flavorful. Kimchi ahi is standard mild spicy flavor. Service was friendly and cordial. Ambience was clean and open.

The place is clean and well kept. No concerns with food handling that I observed. They do need more front end help. There was only one girl in front that was both cashier and helping to place the sides selections into the plate. Given it was lunch time they had phone or prior orders needing to be filled. So we waited a bit before she could take our order. She was trying her best and was kind and courteous. That isnt her fault. And I know everywhere is struggling to staff these days. There were multiple people in the back. Someone could have come forward to help her. She was struggling as the line grew. I felt for her. We got the K special. The teri beef was good. Cooked just right. Good flavor. The Teri chicken was way overcooked and salty. And I like salty things. As my mom says, if I say it is salty, its like licking salt. Kalbi was ok. The sides.. we got taegu, fishcake, and 2x mayo potatoes bc my son likes the garlic potatoes he gets at Yummy's so he figured it would be similar. The taegu is a premium item so you can't get 2 of it (we tried) and they give little bit of it compared to the other items. Other items they are pretry generous. Taegu was ok. Fishcake was ok. The potatoes... I do not know why or how they got frozen but they were frozen in the middle... my son said his piece was frozen as well which was bizarre to me. They make their stuff so far in advanced them freeze them then thaw out before serving?? Due to having been frozen the potatoes did not have a creamy mouth feel. It squished when you bit into it then you hit frozen icicles on the inside and seemed fluid overloaded as the ice was still melting inside. Which made the mayo sauce it was in runny. Very weird textures for red potatoes. That really threw me off. It also came with two deep fried gyozas. Those were good. My son ate one before I could get a pic. I was rather disappointed. Doubtful I will give this place another try.

I Love Korean BBQ is a fast casual spot in Kapolei's Ka Makana Aliʻi food court area. Local style Korean food means meat jun and a line of banchan side dishes that you can pile up in your plate lunch. Here you can get your plate lunch in either their mini size or regular. I think that the regular size is enough to share between two people - especially with a choice of 4 of their banchan sides. The sauces here are really good too and they have them in big squeezable bottles at the end of the counter- some spots charge extra for it but here you can load up as much sauce as you want! The service is friendly and quick here. You order at the register and then they give you a ticket with a number on it. Don't lose that ticket- they will ask for it again when you pick up your food! And while they're cooking your food in the back, you get to go through the banchan line and pick all the side dishes you want. I recently got their regular meat jun plate with kimchi cucumber, japchae, shoyu potato, and fish cake (어묵볶음). I personally like a more 50/50 meat to batter ratio with the egg being a bit more fluffy but the meat jun here is pretty good!

First time trying this eatery located in the Kamakana Alii Mall foodcourt. There's tough competition here but after today, I Love Korean BBQ has won me over. I walked into the foodcourt hungry for lunch and couldn't decide what to eat right away. Wanting to try something new this was the perfect place and one of the few in the foodcourt I haven't yet tried. With a casual to go ambiance, it was nice and easy to quickly pick a plate to try with a huge variety. The service was quick despite it just being Jay at the counter who took my order payment veggies (choice of two) for a mini Fish Jun plate & did all the communication and order pick ups from the cooks. With a line that formed quickly behind he worked very hard and efficiently and soon everyone was waiting for their food. The Fish Jun plate was delicious and I especially loved the Kim chee which was very authentically spicy. I'm a huge Korean plate foodie and this definitely satisfied my cravings. I just wish there was more! It was one of the few Korean spots where I didn't run out of rice first. Will return again

    7. Meat Jun (Regular)

First time trying this place, hands down the best meat jun I've had on this island and I've tried many spots. The meat jun was so tender and flavorful, the sides were very tasty as well! All of the workers were very nice and helpful. This place looked very clean and organized.

Two weeks ago, I saw a group on FB called 808 Best Lunch Wagons, Restaurants & Entertainments that…read moresomeone had posted the menu for Ige's and saw that Wednesday they would have baked spaghetti, my favorite going to school. Wednesday, had the internet fixed in the morning, picked up my cousin at 10:30 and she gave me directions to Ige's because all this time, I didn't know they were still in business. Oops. Ige's is located in the Waimalu area behind Goodwill on Kam Hwy. There's several small businesses back there and all these driveways, you can miss this place easily. On the main driveway, there's a bike path that crosses it, and an old guard shack. After this, you want to take the second driveway on the left. You know you're going down the right path when you see Guieb restaurant on the left, which I also didn't know was here. And drive all the way to the end. Ige's is the very last store on the left. You'll see the lunch line. They are only open for lunch from Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:30 am - 1 pm, so you should plan ahead. The regular menu differs each day and for now, the daily specials have remained unchanged. But to make sure, check out their IG @igesaiea. When you get there, they do have some grab and goes that are not advertised. As far as pricing, they are pretty reasonable, regular plates are between $13 - $16. However, the portions, let's say it's really heavy. My cousin got a mixed plate of chicken hekka and pork teriyaki. And I got the baked spaghetti, no rice, with toss and Mac salad. And the spaghetti filled half the plate with a good amount of height. Ige's is counter only, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Therefore there are no seats. I asked my cousin if she wanted to grab a table at Neal Blaisdell park down the street and she quickly declined. So we drove back to her house for lunch. My cousin did enjoy her chicken hekka and pork. I'm didn't get to taste it because I was too involved with my meal. At first glance, it wasn't the brick, lasagna-style like school where there was a thick layer of cheese on top. However, without the cheese, it was still tasted the same from what I could remember. Because the portion is heavy, my cousin could only eat a fourth of her lunch while I thought I better tap out at 1/3. So she didn't need to make dinner for her family while I had dinner and lunch for the next day. Although the interaction was short, the counter person was pleasant and very helpful. As you look into the kitchen, you can see a lot of people hustling back there as they also do catering. I'll be away for two weeks but I am looking forward to picking up lunch when I get back and I am definitely brining family here, I just need to figure out a good place for a picnic.

Operated by members of the extended Ige Family, focusing on buffet catering and bento services. * Ige's Catering (Mapunapuna). Originally established by Rachel Ige since 1969, opening out of Masa's Cafeteria. This review is for Ige's Lunchwagon & Catering (Aiea). I remember years ago I once ordered pork nishime ala carte, and it was so flavorful and with the generous serving, it lasted for several meals! Because I don't live nearby, I lost track of following the Instagram/Facebook menu and the short weekday hours. Thanks to Yelper Sach T. for reminding me what Ige's has to offer! This Aiea-based business is known for its generous portions of local plate lunches, catering services, and Okinawan-style dishes like sweet sour spareribs and shoyu pork. It offers daily lunch specials and catering for events, with a reputation for large, affordable meals with leftovers. Their lunch menu for the weekdays include: turkey/chicken ala king, Korean fried chicken, fresh corned beef, meatloaf, pork tofu, roast turkey, chicken curry, checken hekka, pork teri, hamburger steak, Hawaiian plate, tripe/beef stew, long rice, bbq spareribs, shoyu chicken, roast pork, chicken fried steak/katsu, catch of the day. In addition, their weekly specials per weekday include: teri beef tips, sweet sour spareribs, curryburger stew, pork cutlet w/ gravy, shoyu chicken, baked spaghetti, fried saimin, fried chicken thighs, chicken long rice, turkey tail adobo, baked luncheon meat, fresh fish patties, pork nishime, chow fun w/ pork teri, baked rosemary chicken, and catch of the day. Plus, maki sushi and cone sushi are available. Plate lunches can come with rice. mac salad, chow mein, and pickled onions; but if you want all entrée, it's $1 more. It's astounding to think of what is available! Our recent visit included our ordering of: * Sweet sour spare ribs. This is exactly how I like my sweet sour spare ribs - vinegary, meat easily off the bone or tendon, lots of gravy over rice! Old-school cooking brings back memories of eating this when growing up! * Chicken hekka. Lots of long rice, chicken, celery, green onions, shiitake make this old-school cooking dish a winner! * Maki/cone sushi. Nice flavors to this sushi that are good for snacking! Great entrees to order in place of having to cook, as they lasted for several meals for hubby and myself! Items were pre-ordered over the phone to ensure that Ige's didn't run out of food and due to the short hours that they are open. Phone orders were done processed quickly, as they just asked for your name by friendly staff. There is a separate phone order pick-up area to expedite paying and receiving your order. Otherwise, you'll find a line of customers waiting to order in the regular order line. No dine-in, as it is strictly take-out. Hours of operation are short, Tues to Fri only from 9:30a to 1:00p only; Mon and weekends closed. Free parking available in large lot shared by other businesses in the complex. Staff works out of a kitchen behind Cutter Ford in Aiea in a "lunchwagon" style of services. Known for its delicious old-school local cuisine, extensive food choices, generous portions, affordable meals, authentic flavors, and friendly customer service, Ige's Lunchwagon & Catering in Aiea is a great place for lunch or dinner! And especially if you're too lazy to cook!

I had a bunch of mixed up orders and she is the owner (I believe). She was so hospitable and sweet, I knew I was taken care of. I started with the spicy kalbi fries. AND WOW. Can I just say that whatever they use for it, they are genius. The kalbi fries have an amazing spicy kick, without too much, as well as a wonderfully sweet. The fries itself are crispy, and well made. The spicy sauce is just enough not to hurt you (which is important to people that can't handle spicy). The kanak attack plate came with everything you'd want! The laulau had such an amazing taste and the leaves (which is my favorite part) were so rich and so salty, I loved it! The chicken long rice was hearty and full of chicken pieces, I could not believe. I am so glad I added the spicy ahi!
