I did a chocolate tasting through Groupon. It was such a unique experience! She goes over the chocolate making process and lets you sample some of the bars. Please note that it is mostly dark chocolate so if you do this tasting at night, it could affect your sleep since there is caffeine. I'm caffeine sensitive so i was WIRED lol. They have really unique flavors and it changes from time to time. I recommend checking them out!

We first discovered this chocolatier at the Torrance Farmer's Market. Unfortunately, they no longer have a stall. They previously had a shop in another part of Torrance. We were happy to discover that they now have a shop in Old Town Torrance. It's a bit unassuming and easy to pass by. It's located across the street from BofA, on the same street as Rudy's. My husband was looking for a small, edible Mother's Day gift for his Mom. The 4-bonbon box was the perfect size. We also bought 4 pieces for ourselves. The bonbons were a delight. Smooth, creamy and the flavors were subtle. Try it! Enjoy!

I went in today to redeem a chocolate tasting Groupon with my girlfriend and we had an amazing experience! Naomi served a large variety of chocolates, from chocolate bars to bon bons. They serve a series of dark chocolate, I believe 3 or 4 tiers, ranging from 100% cacao to mid 70s. A lot of the chocolates are dark chocolate, which we quite enjoy. You can taste the quality of each product they serve. She went into depth about their story and also the history of chocolate, explaining the processes of making a chocolate bar. It was quite interesting and we learned so much! She also gave us cacao bean bits to start us off and it was nice to have in between each bar as a refresher. We ended with the bon bons and the lemon meringue was a delight! We ended up buying an assortment of 4 bon bons and will surely be back for more. Overall great experience!

Staffs here were so nice and helpful...Everybody was friendly! We got 12 pieces of organic strawberries chocolate dip, 12 assorted chocolate box, 100% Cocoa tint and 63% chocolate bar (on Valentine's Day) OMG!!! Strawberry dip was so yummy ... and also the assorted box . All chocolates were homemade here. Sometimes, the line was pretty long... if you know what you want, I recommend to preorder... so for sure you will get them plus it gives them a time to prepare your order in advance... so you don't have to wait too long .

This is my second time visiting Marsatta chocolate. I have to say, the chocolate is absolutely exceptional. I worked and managed a chocolatier years ago, and Marsatta is FAR more delicious and better in quality in every way. Generally, I would say that impressions of a business is important - and it truly is. My first visit was months ago during the beginning of the pandemic. I assumed that everyone was struggling during this time, so I gave the first impression of the front store a pass. Naomi was incredibly sweet and helpful and made me feel as comfortable as she could while I was there. Today I decided to go back in and get treats for my family. I walked in again to the same front store. Though the front is crowded and seems lived-in, I knew how great the chocolate was and I knew that I wouldn't get chocolate like this elsewhere, so I will absolutely continue as a customer. Naomi and Chef Jeff are very passionate about their chocolate and do their absolute best to discuss their product, especially Chef Jeff - listening to him talk about the pieces and what he was working on was awesome. My advice, as a customer and someone who truly does love the chocolate, would be to hire a front manager to organize, tidy up, and clean the area where customers will be. I would absolutely recommend stocking the chocolate so that there are more choices. There's no BAD choice of chocolate here, but I would have loved to see a more available variety. I love that this is a family-owned business, but I feel that it would benefit heavily to hire someone to help organize the front and make it more presentable for future and continued business. Chocolate and customer service - 5 stars Presentation of front store - 1 star Again, this is coming from someone who truly wants to see this business do well because of their quality of the product I've tried and supports family owned businesses. I do not know them personally at all.

The water and breeze of Redondo Beach Pier is blue medicine. The reason why I describe the pier as…read moresuch is because the tension and stagnant spirit of a person can be lessened (maybe not fully evaporated) by the picturesque ocean nestled below. As we all know, there is a a saying that asks people to stop and smell the flowers. Meaning that each person should stop their steps intentionally to understand the fragrant beauty of a still and small moment, Otherwise we all might lose the meaning of life as we zoom/Zoom. But at the Pier there are no flowers, there are only blue-green waves rolling in a leisurely motion. And I stopped to record the calming waters as they strolled, and in that moment I felt a morsel of serenity for I was one with the elements that constitute a beachside. Of course, not all people go to the Pier for calmness, some people go for boardwalk buzz. And this place has almost that is needed to have a wonderful day. Now this place is not like the Santa Monica Pier, or the Jersey Pier, or the Santa Cruz boardwalk because it does not have rides and bells and whistles. It is mostly a place to stroll and enjoy food, drinks, sights, and churros and crabs. Like when night descends upon the pier it blankets it, there is no human made lights to shoo the darkness away. But that does not make les than the other famous piers just different. And also, during my last visit I saw a bird flying and floating across the water helping me understand the spectacle of nature's freedom in flight. I am sure I could have captured and understood this message in this and other piers because al of them have birds and stretches of ocean that seem to reach a point of both entrance and end. Yesterday,I went to the Pier because they have a free concert series during the summers. People had their chairs out, and towels and enjoyed the Irish melodies. They were not traditional Celtic songs that make people jig and want to wear leprechaun hats, it was modern Irish which was new to me. I also chastised myself for not being the type of person who comes prepared with snacks and chairs to enjoy, not only the musical performance, but the beach elements all around. I do wonder if I had the needed snacks and chairs, will I hate having to walk them from my car to the spot. And then I would likely chastised myself for not being the type of person who can just enjoy the music of band and sea. This pier has a lot to do, for sure. It may not be a tourist destination but it can be. But for now it is regarded as a local treasure by locals. It's parking is like 2 dollars an hour. Buf if you are willing to walk a few blocks, like two, it can be free. But that depends what kind of things you will carry to enjoy your time at the pier and nearby beach.

First time at Redondo Beach/Pier…read more Nice beach, lots of parking $2 per hour. Lots of food options.
