    J. Sweets is located at the entrance of the Mitsuwa grocery store. It's a small store and don't have much selections in my opinion. However they sell unique products that you can't really find elsewhere. I was shocked to find Shiroi Koibito chocolate. They're like the best chocolate cookies from Japan. Although they're a bit pricey here, it's cheaper than online and a hassle to bring it back from japan. It's nice to be able to buy this and other products here.

With the variety of savory dishes at the Mitsuwa marketplace; J Sweets is definitely a welcome sweet spot! Sometimes one just needs a sweet treat after indulging in some curry or ramen and J Sweets is the perfect spot for that dessert! One can find a variety of treats here. Among their offerings is Royce Chocolate; a famous chocolate brand from Japan. One can also find Kobe Fugetsudo Petite Gaufres or tasty wafers. They also have a variety of mochi! When I stopped by here I chose to get some mochi. Their mochi is frozen and one has to wait 10-15 minutes before consuming. Prices vary but are around the $2 range. I chose to get the Honey Cranberry ($2.60) and Double Mango ($2.40). For the price; these treats are a little bit on the pricey side. The mochi are not that big. They are however yummy! They're nice and soft and the cream inside is good in flavor. I love mango and definitely enjoyed the Double Mango mochi. I definitely got that mango flavor in there. I would say try these mochi treats at least once! Treat yourself. Treating yourself is indeed the name of the game here at J.Sweets with the variety of yummy Japanese sweets one can find here!

Nice high-ended sweet shop that offers delicious treats, such as red bean mocha mochi that one has to Wait 15 minutes before eating it. It is tasty, but extremely sweet. Therefore, complement it with unsweetened coffee would be outstanding.

From top to bottom: Mango Coconut, Matcha, Blueberry, Banana Chocolate Chip, Mint Chip

This is purely a review of just the Mochi Ice cream, NOT the other desserts. We ordered one of each flavor of mochi ice cream - mango coconut, matcha, chocolate banana, mint chip, and blueberry. While the flavors were good, the texture of the mochi tasted wrong. The mochi was frozen for too long and crumbled apart when I took a bite. Overall I enjoyed the taste but the texture was definitely off-putting.

Located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. This place is dangerous. Too many delicious goodies that are on the pricier side. Must practice self control... J. Sweets is made up of a bunch of other smaller stores: Mochi Cream, Tokyo Ginza Rokumeikan, Kobe-Fugetsudo, and Minamoto Kochoan. I love everything about these Japanese sweet treats. They aren't overly sweet and incredibly delicate. Yum!

One of my favorite recent discoveries. Definitely worth adding to your list…read more I wasn't sure what to expect at first. The front space looks more like an arts and crafts setup than a typical chocolate spot (sorry Naomi if you're reading this), but the tasting experience completely changed my impression. Naomi, who led the tasting, is also involved in making the chocolate, which made a big difference. She walked us through their collaborations over the years and the inspiration behind different flavors. It's not a set tasting menu. It's more go with the flow, which made it feel personal and relaxed. She's clearly passionate about what she does and very open to ideas. You can even reach out ahead of time to design your own experience. We ended up tasting over ten flavors that day because she was generous with samples. I left feeling like I probably don't need chocolate again for a while, but still walked out with a stack of bars to share with friends and family. There's something really special about how they connect you to the process. Seeing raw cocoa beans and learning more about how everything is made gave me a bit more appreciative. I also tried cacao nibs, which are gaining popularity, but I'll admit I still prefer chocolate with some sweetness. One standout was a bar sweetened with maple sugar. If had similar but it's also completely different. So many interesting flavors and ideas here. Definitely a unique and memorable experience. More reason for you to check it out.

The packaging alone screams luxury. The potato chips are to die for! The chocolate is not too sweet, the chips have a nice crisp and the right touch of salt.
