I have read many good bings for Champion's steak tips. It is a local spot or bar…read more Beers on draft I ordered nice and cold. I ordered the steak tips and my only complaint if I was to have one was the limited options for the side. It was onion rings or rice . It came with a salad that was lame ... I'd drop the salad for a veggie or sauteed onions and grilled black green peppers . I ordered onion rings and excellent onion rings. I really wanted cream spinach, garlic spinach or mashed, or baked potato or corn , carrots anything? Grilled garlic green beans even better with my tips . Now, the steak tips are real deal tender , nice teriyaki I think was marinade . Huge portion in terms of lbs of steak tips . Nice char from grill on tips. All very good . Better to serve an option steak tips, grilled onions and grilled green peppers, mashed potato, grilled beans ,a single hot roll ... like a Santarpios option they offer peppers But, I get it... if it is working... why change... These tips are Massachusetts high ranking .

Family members and I went to this restaurant a few days ago. Nobody was happy. My dad and brother…read moregot the steak tips. They said the meat was dry and more like flat pieces of steak cut up into 3-4 inch pieces of steak than "steak tips." More like, the tip of nothing. My dad who has a legendary appetite left his food half eaten. My brother called me the next day to apologize for taking me to a place that had obviously gone downhill since the last time he had eaten there. As a vegetarian, I expected to order a salad and was psyched when I saw on the menu that they offered a Greek salad. But what they brought was not a Greek salad. It was a big bowl of rusty iceberg lettuce. The server saw me picking the rusty lettuce out of the bowl and she sent it back to the kitchen. What they brought back was another massive bowl of cut up iceberg lettuce, with a couple pieces cherry tomatoes and cucumber, and a clump of feta on top. The chef needs to google the recipe for Greek salad. On the way out I mentioned to the server, "What you brought me was not a Greek salad." She said, "Well it's OUR Greek salad." Nope, that's not how this works. Just take it off the menu if you're not going to even try to make an effort, please. Also, can I just note that the ambience of this restaurant is like a medical waiting room. It wouldn't be that hard to try to create a more pleasant environment. Basically, anything would be an improvement.

Food Review: Paddy Kelly's - Peabody, MA…read more If you're looking for classic bar food done right, Paddy Kelly's at 154 Washington St, Peabody, MA, is a must-visit. From giant margarita towers to loaded nachos and hearty burgers, this spot delivers on both flavor and value. Whether you're out with friends or family, it's the kind of place where you can kick back, indulge, and enjoy some solid comfort food in a no-frills setting. The Must-Have Dishes Kitchen Sink Nacho Tray ($17.95) - An absolute steal! This massive tray of nachos is loaded with grilled chicken, chili, tomatoes, onions, black olives, and jalapeños, served with salsa and sour cream. Easily feeds four people and is hands-down worth coming back for. 9/10 Buffalo Chicken Sandwich ($14.95) - Crispy buffalo chicken with just the right amount of heat, paired with cool bleu cheese. If you're hunting for a great Buffalo chicken sandwich near Medford or Boston (seriously, where are the good ones?), this is a solid contender. 9/10 Smokehouse Burger ($14.95) - Stacked with BBQ sauce, bacon, an onion ring, and pepper jack cheese, it was a good burger, but honestly, the onion rings stole the show. Cooked perfectly crisp-- which so many places mess up! 7/10 Hit or Miss Steak & Cheese Egg Rolls ($14.95) - Filled with shaved steak and served with buffalo ranch for dipping, these had great flavor but were just way too greasy. 6/10 Pizza - Undercooked, but decent for the price. If you're looking for a great pizza, this isn't the spot. 5/10 Drinks: The Real Star Margarita Tower - Absolutely massive and perfect for sharing. You can't go wrong with this one! Giant Espresso Martinis - If you're a fan of espresso martinis, they go big here--definitely worth trying. Final Verdict If you want a true Boston dive bar experience, this is it. No frills, just solid food and strong drinks at a great price. Come for the drinks and nachos! - Food: 7/10 on the bar food scale. - Affordability: 8/10 - Ambiance: 5/10 (It's a dive bar--if you want a true Boston experience, come here!) - Overall: 7/10

Three of us ordered Steak Tips, including myself. The fourth ordered a seafood broiler plate. They have so many sides to choose from and definitely tasty ones! I had the steamed veggies, excellent, and the loaded mashed potatoes, another good choice. I had the steak tips done rare, they were a bit chewy and over marinated but the portion was generous. My husband lived his, done medium, although he's never had steak tips before. I like that nice char on the outside, what it was missing. We had Creme Brulee for dessert, very good! It was a slow night and we were catching up with friends. Our server was great and didn't rush us. She checked on us often. It was her second or third day on the job and she did great!

Nine Elm Danvers 10/10…read more My first experience here and also an early Birthday dinner for this never ending black hole of an appetite with 3 of the most important people to me and it twas delicious! Excellent ambiance and the food speaks for itself! Read on for the deets!!! Started with the blue cheese stuffed dates that Michael Petrigno aka What Would You Eat Today Sir loves and they were excellent! Wrapped in n bacon with a balsamic reduction that takes your tastebuds to a smokey realm of happiness! Great texture with each bite! Next the burrata which was like a posturepedic pillow of deliciousness laying upon some diced tomatoes with what I believe was a balsamic reduction drizzle and possibly pesto... all I know is I never wanted it to stop! For the entree I went pan seared scallops with white truffle whipped potatoes, and a corn veloute... no chincing on scallops here! There was plenty and the combination of flavors was exquisite! The truffle potatoes were amazing and I could have swam in the corn veloute! I also got to try a bite of the swordfish and holy heck that was amazing as well! Everything cooked perfectly! Last but certainly not least was this amazing chocolate cake served warm with vanilla ice cream & sea salt caramel sauce! Amazing bites that were so melt in your mouth delicous! Matt and Jean (owners) blew my night out of water and I know they will for you too! Life is short so enjoy a meal with loved ones

The wait staff was terrific as always, but then there was the food. The stuffed date appetizer was wrapped in burnt bacon. The only flavor was charcoal and ashes. The lobster ravioli sauce was so over salted as to be inedible, the scrimpy crab cake was missing any crab flavor, and finally, for dessert, the crème brûlée topping crust was burnt black. Clearly, nobody's watching the shop.
