    Buffalo chicken Wrap
    McLane B.

Saw good reviews on google and less positive ones on Yelp so wanted to see what it was like. My experience was good overall and it seemed like a popular spot as there was a wait on a Tuesday night. The Buffalo chicken wrap and fries were good, though the guy next to me said they're known for the prime rib, just wasn't feeling like something that heavy. I'd definitely come back, though not if in a rush and wouldn't go too far out of my way.

What happened? A friend and I went for dinner the other night - he for the first time and my fourth visit. First there was a mix up with his order and then when he got the correct one I awaited his opinion expecting him to be pleased as I had enjoyed my previous meals. Instead he looked a bit distressed and kept salting his food, not a good sign. I too wasn't enjoying mine - baked haddock, rice pilaf and coleslaw. We both thought our meals were tasteless and dry. I felt bad because I had recommended the place. After that experience, though I won't go back. It didn't taste the way I remembered it even a year ago. Is it under new management? A new chef? I don't know but it's not worth trying again. Very disappointed.

    Seafood Platter and Chicken Kebab

My hubby and I are from NY and we wanted to wait for the rush hour to subside before we head home so we decided to have dinner at the Century House. We ordered the sweet chili Calamari for appetizer and it was cooked perfect! Delicious! Even the rolls were fresh. Then we had the seafood platter with 2 sides. The coleslaw, baked potato and onion rings were all good! Price was reasonable and the fried seafood not greasy. It had haddock, shrimps, scallops and the fried belly clams in light batter and they were flavorful. Compared to the famous seafood restaurant in Essex where we ate our lunch the other day and ordered the seafood combo that was kinda bland and pricey. The chicken kebab with rice pilaf was ok, not much to say. We were super filled and took home some leftover. Service was great too! Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. Smiling all the time. Definitely would come back. Thumbs up!

Decent MM Manhattan but lacked any depth.

Can't give three stars when the fish chowder had 0 fish.... WTF! I loved those place for the old school atmosphere and cocktails, but when you can't get good food right it's over. The Cracker crust baked haddock I got was lacking the basic of being cooked with care. Came here perhaps a dozen times and sad to go, but I'm done when it is obvious they no longer care what they serve. Points for the Manhattan only and my waitress who was a trooper!

Have known about the Century House for as long as I can remember, has that big "Early Bird Special" feel, Had previously looked at the menu and read reviews here and knew exactly what to expect in a sense! The menu is extensive and there are lots of apps/sides/ Options, Meats, seafood. So we tried a little of everything, I dont want to say it was BAD, but it wasnt like OMG this is delicious, I feel that for a few of the things, my versions are better at home. The stuffings, the sauces were all just meh! Im a super foodie and eat out probably too often, we did try many apps and maybe I would consider to give it another stop and try the Prime Rib or a bigger meal but Im not running right back right away. Service was ok, Drinks were great.

The interior is warm and welcoming with wood accents. Seated in a booth in the bar area we settled in and ordered some drinks. I got my usual tequila soda, my husband wanted a chocolate martini, and my sister in law decided on a French martini, something that my husband likes to get and she decided to try. The drinks were very good! The entrees we chose were the baby back ribs, a "classic burger", and the chicken Marsala. Everything we tried was delicious! The ribs were a very large portion and cooked to fall-off-the-bone perfection. My burger was very tasty and came with the biggest onion rings ever. So good! The chicken Marsala was as good as any ever eaten in any "Little Italy" . The server was very prompt and efficient. As a matter of fact, the staff all seemed to be relaxed and were working like a well oiled machine. We had a great experience and hope to return there whenever we are back in the Boston area.

Even the owner, Rich, ran food from the kitchen to a patron also sitting at the bar. Sally made me an awesome espresso martini. We began with their lamb lollipop appetizer; I had their fried calamari as my entrée; and Michael had their pork chop marsala special. Everything was plentiful and reasonably priced. After we ate, I indulged in a tequila cosmo that Marissa made for me because Sally was busy with another customer. That's what I mean-everyone just helped each other out without complaining, and as we were leaving, Rich thanked us and said, "Hope to see you again." Honestly, I wish more restaurants were like this. Clean, cozy, and courteous, serving an array of tasty dishes at a fair price. Michael said, "You get a good bang for your buck, here!"

"It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality" - i picked it because of this quote on the menu, and i forgot how much i used to love p!atd. i thought to myself, "i've heard this before somewhere..." i loved the bread & roasted garlic butter, however on a little cutting board it was difficult not to make a mess. i guess that's part of what makes it "kitchen table." it is the perfect, round sourdough loaf with the most delicious butter. the roasted chicken was prepared flawlessly. juicy and tender inside, and a perfect crispy skin, just wow. i absolutely loved the selection of spring vegetables, along with the sherry sauce; sautéed spinach, carrots, mushrooms, and onions. the mashed potatoes were perfect once i added extra salt, extra pepper & whipped it up with more of that garlic butter to my liking, however it was prepared great. i requested it without bacon butter, how it typically comes prepared, and the garlic butter is a great substitute. everything was impeccable. i travel to boston often just for food, because i find that the food in beverly, as a whole, is just not up to par, even with all of the marketing. kitchen table is different than any other restaurant in beverly, and now i don't have to travel so far to get the most delicious meals! i am honestly blown away by how amazing my meal was, and i highly recommend kitchen table to anyone in the north shore, and i'd even say it's completely worth going out of your way for. whether solo, a romantic or friend date, or with a small or large group, kitchen table is here to serve (one of the best meals you've had in a long time). there were some other ladies at the bar that were extremely hospitable and helpful as well, i didn't catch their names this time. i wanted to take some pictures at the end of my meal, at closing time when it had emptied out, and molly encouraged me to take all the pictures i needed. just fantastic service by all of the staff. i couldn't be happier with my first experience at kitchen table. here's to many more! ambiance: 4.9/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 service: 5/5 kitchen table: 5/5
