I've been here at least 3 times prior to this visit with our now four year old and this was our best experience yet. Last time we were not impressed with the character experience because they cycle through so fast just to do the hellos/photo, but this time they seemed to spend a little bit more time interacting with our son because he was showing off a toy to them. The buffet options are great, even for our picky eater. I'm not a big breakfast person but I found plenty to try. It just is big price tag when your kid does not eat a whole lot and you're spending $30 something on 2 Mickey waffles.

Went for breakfast this morning with my husband. Reservation was at 11am. We got seated at 11:40am, just as we were about to walk away because we were tired of waiting. The waitress was friendly, but we felt a little rushed and not much attention was given to us as she had other tables with 8+ people. The character interactions were decent although timing could be a bit better. We waited after we were done eating for Minnie to see us. They told us if we left our table to get food and the characters came by we would miss them and they wouldn't cone back. The other characters sped thru as many tables as possible. It was pricey, food was decent. Just wouldn't run to go back.

If you're looking for the perfect way to start your Disney day, Chef Mickey's is an absolute must! From the moment we walked in, the energy was so fun and lively--and getting to meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Pluto made it such a memorable experience (yes, Pluto deserves two shoutouts because he's just that cute!). Now let's talk FOOD... because wow. The variety was incredible! From fresh fruit and an unreal selection of pastries (seriously, I could've made a whole meal just from those alone), to a huge spread of breakfast meats and potatoes--there was something for everyone. But the standout for me? The shrimp and grits. Absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I went back for more... no shame at all! Between the amazing food, the character interactions, and the overall vibe, this was such a fun and memorable experience. Safe to say, this is officially becoming a yearly tradition for my Disney trips!

We went for breakfast, and I was amazed by how great all of the food was!! Huge variety, and everything was hot and delicious. Good coffee, great friendly service, and a really fun kid-friendly atmosphere. It can definitely be loud at times with all the music and people though! All the characters were wonderful (even if Goofy scared our daughter at first lol) and we had a lovely time. The photo opportunity is on the way out now, and there was a photopass photographer available at our visit, which was very convenient!

Chef Mickeys! I don't think I've came here as a child, but now that I have my own - I had too! My toddler was so excited to see Mickey and all his friends! The characters went to every table, interacted, took photos and signed autograph books. My son was so happy :) Now let's talk FOOD. We went for breakfast. I was honestly happy with the selections they had. They had some charcuterie - meats, cheeses, salmon, etc. They had a good fruit selection as well. They had all the normal "breakfast" foods and more! Mickey waffles, pancakes, French toast, different types of prepared eggs, bacon, sausage and way more to name. It's a buffet, and you're in Disney at the contemporary resort. Of course you're going to pay a hefty price AND be able to see the characters and interact. So yes it was expensive and it was well worth every penny to see my son happy and for his dad and I to pig out. Oh and our server was awesome with making sure we had our cups full! Clearing our plates and making sure we saw every character :)

To the people that have said this food is subpar and not worth it.....they lied. This was one of the best character meals I have had for dinner on Disney property. This was a bit overstimulating with the music and everything but the FOOD was delicious and so many options. For $60 it was definitely worth it and I want to go back already. The food was absolutely worth it!

Food is surprisingly good for such a large scale buffet. Decent amount of vegetarian options. Obviously it is more about the experience than the food here (however the desert table was fabulous) All the characters individually come to each table so there's no waiting in lines. Perfect for large groups and a great way to meet more characters !

Let's get this out of the way: Chef Mickey's is overpriced. You know it. I know it. Mickey knows it. Somewhere in the Disney boardroom, an executive cackles as parents willingly fork over half a car payment for breakfast. But here's the thing... it's still worth it. Walking into Chef Mickey's feels like you've stepped into the Vatican of character dining -- only the Pope is a six-foot mouse in gloves. You're not here for the culinary revolution. You're here because your kids want to hug Goofy before noon, and you want a mimosa to survive it. The food? Think Las Vegas buffet but with ears. Piles of Mickey waffles that taste like nostalgia and syrup, eggs that somehow remain fluffy despite being made by the thousands, and bacon so plentiful it could bring Ron Swanson to tears. Do you need to refinance your house to afford it? Maybe. But when Pluto comes around and high-fives you mid-bite, suddenly it feels like money well spent. Now, the real kicker: the Contemporary setting. There's something surreal about sitting under those massive monorail beams, coffee in hand, while a train glides overhead and Donald Duck pretends to cook pancakes. It's a mix of kitsch and magic that only Disney could pull off. Yes, Walt would've rolled his eyes, but then he would've secretly gone back for seconds on the banana bread pudding and admitted, "Alright... this is ridiculous, but it works." Bottom line: Chef Mickey's isn't about the food -- it's about the spectacle. The characters, the chaos, the overpriced buffet that somehow feels like a rite of passage. And honestly? I'd do it again. Because where else can you eat scrambled eggs while Mickey Mouse personally checks on your table?

Chef Mickey's is an iconic Disney restaurant. One of the very few places I had heard of even before I visited the resort. If you have kids this place is an absolute must go. The characters come around and each child the opportunity to interact one on one. No matter who your kid's favorite character is they will get their turn. As a grown adult this place is simply a buffet style restaurant. The food is similar to all others served at most resorts. If the food is what you're after this place is probably not worth the price. That being said, that food is good and worth trying if you've never had it previously. Would recommend.

This is a 'must' for anyone traveling to DisneyWorld. Chef Mickey serves an enormous and delicious buffet! Super and an excellent value considering what you get! So, let me explain, if you haven't been, the most important part of this experience is that Disney characters come to your table for hugs and pictures.... Just love it!!! Disney is serious about everyone having a good experience to the extent they send a cast member over towards the end of the meal to make sure you saw and was engaged with each character. Well done for sure. Such a light hearted experience that you won't soon forget.... And we were 4 adults!

Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary resort is a must do when at Disney. Reservations can be made online up to 60 days in advance. With our reservation, we were able to check in with our phone at our reservation time. Disney has this down like clockwork, we were seated, greeted by a pleasant waitress, and proceeded to get our food at the buffet. Then what we were all waiting for, Chef Mickey, and his friends, including Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto came to visit our table. They all took photos with the children and signed autograph books. The food was plentiful and good, but a pretty basic breakfast buffet including eggs, potatoes, fruit, Mickey waffles and a nice selection of pastries. Someone in our party was celebrating a birthday so they brought her a cupcake. Cost is $58 for adults and $37 for children 3-9. Parking at the Contemporary is complimentary for diners for up to 3 hours. I recommend Chef Mickey for kids and kids at heart.

We were staying at a Holiday Inn near Disney Springs so we decided to come here for a late dinner. One of the best decisions made here. We did a late night walk through the shopping center and landed here around 9:50 pm. It was pretty late and we worried there would be no seats but we were seated promptly. The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

Also, the welcome amenity I received was a box of chocolates with the box already damaged (see picture). I would think a hotel of this caliber would not give that to guests. We did receive a very thoughtful card and to drink vouchers to celebrate our anniversary, which was very nice! The individual who checked me in informed me our room had the Disney view and there would be fireworks, which we did not see. We are not Disney fans so we really did not prefer one view over another. The room was very nice. Everything was clean and tidy. I was disappointed with the slippers supplied though. They were not branded and looked like they were purchased at a discount kind of store. The air conditioning was decent but I do feel like it should have been colder. The room was quiet and so were the hallways. I had clients the next day so that was especially important. One of the Amex benefits is a 4pm check out. Since my work heavily involves HIPAA, I cannot do my job with other people present. My husband left and we had the privacy button/ light on so I would not be interrupted by housekeeping. I am unsure if the light turned off at regular checkout time (11am) and I did not think to double check but housekeeping knocked on my door and then opened it while I was working. I was under the impression that housekeeping would have a list of guests who are checking out late and not disrupt. I also did not put the security latch on after hubs left but I did not expect to be disturbed. The service at the restaurants and bars were magnificent. I unfortunately did not have time to book services at the spa but stopped in prior to leaving and they were very helpful and professional. This was my first experience at a Waldorf and probably not the best choice since there were as many kids as there were adults.

Shortly after arrival, we noticed what appeared to be blood on the bed comforter. We initially assumed housekeeping would replace the bedding during routine room service, so we did not immediately escalate it. However, after multiple housekeeping visits over approximately two days, the same visibly stained bedding remained on the bed and was never replaced. What upset us most was not just the stain itself, but the fact that housekeeping serviced the room multiple times and still left the bedding in place. This created serious sanitation concerns and made us uncomfortable using the room. We brought the issue to the hotel's attention at checkout and were offered only waived resort fees. We then attempted to resolve the matter through both the property and Hilton Guest Assistance. Despite multiple follow-ups, the final offer from Hilton was only 10,000 Hilton Honors points on a stay that cost approximately 140,000 points. I am posting this because I believe future guests deserve to make informed decisions regarding cleanliness standards and how serious concerns are handled after they are reported. I have attached photos documenting the condition before and after housekeeping service. UPDATE: I want to add that after additional escalation through Hilton's social media support team, Hilton ultimately reviewed the situation more thoroughly and issued a substantial points adjustment that I felt more appropriately reflected the seriousness of the concern. While I still wish the issue had been handled differently initially, I genuinely appreciated finally feeling heard and taken seriously. I think it is only fair to acknowledge that Hilton did ultimately make a meaningful effort to resolve the situation.

I could see the ceiling had fallen in! Then of course there were big trash cans catching the water here and there. They definitely need to do some work on the building! The room was very nice. Very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked great. We're Titanium members. We can get a free breakfast or free drinks, and/or points. We were given some free drinks vouchers. There's a bar downstairs. But not once, in the three days we were there, did we ever see the bar open! We also never saw the other restaurant open. Only the grab and go, or the breakfast place, Tradewinds. We had breakfast at The Tradewinds. It's nice. The breakfast is good. We didn't do the buffet because we really don't eat that much for breakfast. So it wasn't worth the $37 pp when we were only eating eggs, toast and coffee. The waitress, Ana, was great! She waited on us every morning. She runs around taking care of everything! She's a real gem! The prices are reasonable. I would stay here again.

It is a massive box structure with a fabulously large atrium in the middle. The check-in process was handled quickly and efficiently. This is a Marriott property and the staff were all very friendly and well trained. The elevators face in to the atrium, and it is a scenic view as you had up to your floor. Elevators were quick and there seemed like there was always one waiting on the first floor. Rooms were decently sized and well appointed - very clean and comfortable. Bed was in good shape and got the job done. Hot water was hot and made the shower experience fine. After putting my stuff up, I took a stroll around the place - most of the amenities appear to be in the first floor: bars / restaurants and shops. There is an outdoor pool area and a fitness center somewhere in there as well. To be fair, I did not spend a whole lot of time in the room as I had quite a few activities to attend to. Would I stay here again? I would if the cost of the room was workable. It also depends on where you are planning on going in Orlando. Overall a very good stay and I would recommend staying here if you have the option. Parking is self-park and cost is about $44 / day, or valet park for considerably more at $56/day

The food was a bit pricey (not surprising given we were in Disney Springs) but still pretty decent. I especially liked the Jalapeño Cornbread. It was super soft with just a slight kick of jalapeño to get your taste buds tingly. The Caramelized Brussels Sprouts were too caramelized and way too sweet. All the other dishes we ordered were fine, nothing special. They have a separate counter at the front to buy merch and cookies, which they're supposedly pretty famous for. We were way too full though and didn't get any dessert. Given how sweet their Caramelized Brussels Sprouts were, I think the cookies would also have been too sweet for my liking. A friend and I purchased a ResortPass for the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista to enjoy a relaxing…read morepool day. The property looked beautiful, with multiple pools, a lazy river, and a poolside bar and restaurant, so we were looking forward to spending the day there. Unfortunately, our experience didn't quite live up to our expectations. The first challenge was parking. The directions weren't very clear, and I ended up parking at the convention center because I wasn't sure where ResortPass guests were supposed to park. Once we got to the pool area, it was incredibly crowded. To be fair, we visited on **July 3rd**, during a holiday weekend, so I expected it to be busy. However, it was beyond busy--it was packed. Every chair seemed to be taken, there were no tubes available for the lazy river because demand far exceeded the supply, and even ordering food or drinks from the bar involved a long wait. Simply getting around the pool area was difficult because of the number of people. I think the resort could improve the experience by limiting the number of ResortPass reservations based on expected occupancy. That would help ensure guests can actually enjoy the amenities they're paying to use. I do believe this experience was heavily influenced by the holiday weekend, and on a less crowded day it might be a completely different experience. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I don't think I'd purchase another ResortPass here. If you're considering visiting, I'd recommend avoiding holiday weekends if possible.
