Understand that they get a lot more business in the evening, which explains the hours, and that they accommodate takeout orders. The restaurant has a small downstairs area and additional seating upstairs, as well as a bathroom downstairs. The lamb was excellent - and actually spicy! My tongue was a bit numb from the seasoning. The skewers caught our attention, so we had to give them a try. Arrived at around 6pm on Saturday. Only one other table occupied when we arrived, so we were seated quickly. Not sure if there are additional tables upstairs, but quite a few parties arrived by about 7pm. We placed our orders using the QR code. Note - Beware if there is a nut allergy. They provide boiled peanuts as a starter. Also, the first dish to arrive was the pig ears in chili sauce - good sized portion but topped with peanuts. Had to be sure the other dishes did not contain peanuts as kiddo is allergic. Ordered skewers - chicken skin, chicken gizzard, chicken hearts, and oversized beef. All were seasoned well. My fave was the chicken skin as it was crispy and hot. Kiddo loved the gizzards and hearts. Hubs and kiddo loved the duck - meaty and tender. The chicken crispy bone (cartilage) was stir fried with peppers and potatoes - another good one. Ended our meal with the fried coconut milk balls - kiddo wanted to eat all 6 himself. Quality/Quantity - As usual, we (my guest) over ordered. She just loves left overs. Today we got the following: Gyoza - Decent portions, my guests favorite. Well, until she added the pancakes to our order after seeing it at our neighbor's table. Scallion Pancakes - Done and fried well. My guest ate 1.5 of them, lol. This actually became her lunch... Lunch Specials - Spicy Oil Beef Noodles - Good and with generous quantities. If you are following, my other guests ordered the exact same thing for dinner at Bei Fang Style Restaurant. This was slightly better than the dinner version. Tomato and Egg Noodles - Good, except my guest barely touched this. She preferred the pancakes and gyoza. And as light eaters, this became an extra entree for her tonight. Our neighbor ordered the seafood udon, I almost ordered this. After seeing it and the neighbor raving about it, I will get this next time. The neighbor also got the special pork feet over rice - This looked VERY good also. Again, a next time visit. Ambiance - Small two story local business. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 2am. Street metered parking. Service - Overall good. The waitress (owner?) did NOT speak English. The tough looking server brings you hot water to drink. Ask him what he likes and he says all with a dislike for veggies. LOL. We went around 1am and were the only table dining in. Gave it a try when I wanted spicy Szechuan. First - lackluster service. I know in places like this they don't kill you with kindness but I felt unwelcome when I walked in, the place was empty. I picked a table and was told I could t sit there. Five minutes later two guys come in and sit at that spot. No hard copy menus, you have to use a QR code. Only option was to go, I guess they are telling me something. The food was ok, I ordered shrimp and got 6-8 large ones, well prepared but not spicy at all. I asked for chili sauce and that was mild too. Ambiance is spartan. Clean but minimal. They claim to stay open late but I noticed two different closing times posted. Great spot for authentic Chinese dishes. They have an upstairs seating so the restaurant fits a lot more people than you think. I enjoyed the eggplant dish the most -- all the other dishes we got were similar in that they had numbing spice but the eggplant dish had a different flavor that I enjoyed a lot! Regular spicy was a bit too much for my personal taste so I would get less spicy in the future. The sliced beef and tendon was well marinated with a lot of garlic, slightly sweet. Regular spicy was good. The skewer meat were on the fatty side and quite salty. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside and juicy within. There was no wait for a table (party of 2) for a Sunday dinner. However, it did take longer for our food to be ready after submitting our order through the online menu. First time here, and won't be the last! Food was amazing! It is a two story restaurant, first floor had a couple of tables that were actually all full, we had to take the stairs to the 2nd level. This is a cute little place with excellent service and food that tastes super fresh, like it was made just for us. Note that there are two different menus to choose from. On our first visit, we shared shrimp dumplings, whole eggplant, garlic bean vermicelli scallop. This particular dish turned out much smaller than we anticipated, but it was one of the best dishes of the evening. I was still hungry, so I got the Sichuan cold noodles and requested Not Spicy, and it arrived surrounded by chilis. I could barely eat it. The following week I got the cold special noodles, which the waiter recommended after I complained about the heat, but it was very unimpressive. The noodles we had was very good also it was their sour lamb soup with pickled vegetables, a little spice but they will make every thing to your liking. Finally we had the beef pancake and I really recommend this the amount was just right for 4 adults and it has plenty of beef. The staff were very friendly and recommended some very good dishes.
