Oct 2025 No parking but that's given in SF Walked 10 mins from Chinatown, no biggie Beautifully decorated inside Sat at the bar, no bartender but the waitress gave it her best to make a drink for me Had a sad duck for lunch so I gave this place a try and thank you so much, this was more authentic and delicious Tender meat skin so thin and slightly crispy, wrap with the essentials veggies and sauce Dumplings were good too The restroom downstairs might be a problem for some people, and restroom was a bit darker than I would like it

I've ordered from this place dozens of times and I've always ordered the same exact dish...the Braised Crispy Chicken with Chili Oil. OMG, that dish so insanely good. I can't speak about any other dish they serve but that one dish alone makes this an easy 5 star restaurant.

The food I had delivered to my residence from this Chinese restaurant on 501 broadway was delicious. The chicken dish was very tasty and a little spicy just like the way I love it. The chicken chow main was finger licking delicious as well. I may order some food from this place again someday. The service was nice and the ambiance was great from the pictures. I give them 5 stars. I wish I can give them 30 stars .

Recently ordered takeout delivery from this restaurant and it was surprisingly delicious. Also, it came with this really cute bag. Now I want to try dine in one of these days. We like all the food we ordered, especially the beef chow fun. Yum! Located near what used to be (is it still?) the red-light district, on Broadway and Kearny.

This IS NOT WORTH 22 almost 25 bucks. RESPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS. In this im economy? Be fair and give customers the food that they pay for.

This place is ripping customers/ consumers off. $22 almost $25 bucks for an order of General Tso Chicken alone. It sounds about right for a family order but then when I received my order it's a completely different picture. Theres enough chicken for maybe 1 adult and 1 child. Maybe? These restaurants in SF need to stop getting away with giving people less food while charging high prices. They use small cheap containers and think it's ok to manipulate delivery's or take out that way. I would have more positive things to say if my money and time was respected by this restaurant.

I've been noting how NYC has more Szechuan food than San Francisco. Located on the edge of Chinatown near North Beach, Little Szechuan satisfies. I've had them catered for work events, and I've had their takeout, and I've had them via Doordash. I like Little Szechuan's mapo tofu, xiao long bao, tan tan noodles, bbq pork chow mein, fried string beans, spicy wontons, and general tso's. Good meat, seasonings, sauces, and flavor. They have a pretty large menu. Takeout also comes in a very nice bag and packaging.

This restaurant has over 20k positive reviews on DoorDash for a reason, it is the best takeout in the city! The quality of meats and ingredients is clear. The care for takeout orders is even better! I received a re-usable INSULATED bag for my order alongside sauces and individualized, sanitized utensils for my family. This attention to detail is something I have never seen for takeout -- and honestly makes me excited to visit in person! They are just as generous with their servings as they are with prep!

    Cute reusable takeout bag!

We ordered delivery from Little Szechuan and it was delicious, fast, and hot! It came in an adorable reusable bag. Lil Szech has plenty of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. Prices are fair for the portions. And ample cutlery and diverse sauces are provided. The only issues I had was that rice is not included in the meals, so make sure you order a side of rice if you want it. And the Crispy Tofu in Chili Oil isn't tossed in sauce. While delicious, the description is somewhat deceiving. The potstickers are chunky bois, and really tasty as well. Lil Szech is definitely worth a try!

I ordered take out in the past and really loved it, but it has been awhile and wanted to try again. I ordered bbq pork and beef and broccoli. Sadly, I was disappointed with both. 1. Beef and broccoli: The beef was sliced thin like how you would prepare hot pot. I am not used to this quality. But overall flavor was good. 2. Bbq pork: the pork was thinly sliced, tough and dry. It ate like jerky with not much of a taste.

Mongolian Beef is tender and a filling portion. The spice level was just right with a nice heat build as I kept eating. Side of rice is extra. Staff is friendly though note a hands off approach. There are QR codes for the menu at each table for ordering. Water carafes set at the table for self serve which is convenient. Space has lots of tables and lively popular music playing in background.

Amazing spot for Szechuan food in SF! Such friendly and attentive service, pretty casual dining where you order off a QR code menu. Nice decor inside, the place has a lot of character and feels very cozy. I got the Braised Crispy Chicken W. Red Chili Oil, Braised String Bean, Seafood Pan Fried Noodle. All three dishes were great, but the chicken was my favorite. Very flavorful, perfect blend of savory with a little spice and ratio of batter to meat. Definitely will order this every time I'm here. Loved the spices on the string beans as well, and the portion of seafood and veggies given on the noodles. Also tried their Honey Walnuts Prawn and Veg Hot Sour Tofu Soup. Soup was good, prawns had a little too much mayo on them for my taste but were also good. Would love to try their Seafood Sizzle Rice Soup next time, definitely will return!

The braised chicken was really tasty. We also ordered mongolian beef which was also packed with flavor. We also ordered fried noodle with vegetables. If you like bold and spicy food, try this place out.

My mom used to get the pan fried noodles from here and i always used them as my reference point for any other restaurant that also serves this. It's what I remember and grew up with. So far only one has come close! This is all I remember from that place and how delish it was. Fast forward to yesterday. They were really nice and welcoming as soon as I went in. We didn't want to order too much, so we only got the beef hor fun and green onion pancakes. The pancakes were so good! Nice and chewy on the inside and crunch on the outside. The chow fun I had really high hopes for. My memories as a child having had chow fun all the time, had this distinct taste to it and made a certain way. Their chow fun was good, but I think it was lacking a little flavor? I also wish they used the wider noodles instead of these thinner ones. :( It wasn't bad at all, I just had a certain expectation. So far, there's only one place that is reminiscent of what I remember and it's in Sacramento. That being said, we will still come back because I would love to try the Simon's garlic chicken and more of the pancakes!

The lamb skewer was super moist and had a nice flavor. The XO escargot with milkbread had a nice buttery, garlic taste. The milk bread was fluffy and when dipped in the sauce it tasted very rich. We also got the clay pot rice and it reminded me of when I had it in China. The rice was crispy at the bottom and well seasoned. My favorite dish of the night was the squab. It was cooked excellently and the skin was really crispy. The five spice powder on the side really brought out the flavor of the meat. The eggplant was cooked well and portion was good but it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. Overall, I would visit this place again. It definitely lives up to the hype. The squab and and clay pot rice were the stand outs to me but all the other food was really tasty as well.

It had its signature flavor but felt watered down. I would pass on it or give it another try. Loved the tea eggs ! It's very hard to find a place that does it right. You can tell that the eggs were marinated enough by the color and perfectly salted. If I lived around here, I would get this all the time for breakfast! The congee itself was very good, nice flavor and the rice was cooked perfectly. The pork liver was definitely overcooked and dry, I would skip the liver and go for something else. The wontons and soup dumplings were so good! 5/5 I love that they don't mince the shrimp, instead they cut it half which gives each bite the perfect texture. The soup was made very well- nice and light. Favorite part was the soup dumplings. I'd dare say, these taste better than Din Tai Fung in SJ. 6 pieces instead of 10 but the size of these dumplings were massive. I was afraid they would be dry but that wasn't the case at all! Every bite had hot soup spilling out it and the soup was amazing! It had just the right amount of salt. They give you a side of vinegar which adds a tang to it ! This is a must get !!

It was around $60-70, the last time we went. It's lightly battered. If you have had salt n pepper fish, it's the same type of breading where it's a carbonated style batter to make it airy and light. They fry up also a bunch of minced garlic and green onions that comes on the plate. My wife and I split this dish. Plenty to go around where this plus a starch is tons enough to be satisfied. If we're here for lunch, we just order a side of rice because the crab is the star. If you want something more, order the Hong Kong friend chow mein. Think of a crispy chow mein that comes with a sauce. The sauce is mixed and in the crispy mess eventually melds with the sauce to give two types of textures. Interior has a variety of tables for two tops to 8 tops. Larger tables have lazy Susan's to spin dishes. Main dining room is downstairs. Staff is generally quick but it's the type of spot where you waive down staff. That includes getting to order. Don't expect a table touch to see how things are tasting. Times we've been, they've forgotten our rice or noodles. So if you give it some time and it hasn't hit the table, just check in with staff. When you sit, they automatically drop off a black tea kettle. If you want ice water, make sure to ask for it in the beginning with your food order. Food comes out quick ish. Once a dish is done, it comes to the table when ready. So just expect dishes to trickle in. Pro tip, is to make a reservation online if you can. Plan it a few days in advance. Especially if you have a large group.

We ordered 8 items and everything was top quality, but my favorites were: - Ribeye XO "Dan Dan" mein with sesame sauce - Berkshire pork Shanghai soup dumplings (XLB) - Crispy shrimp & meat tofu skin roll It's a small restaurant and was super busy when we went around 11:40am on a Sunday, but luckily we were seated immediately when we walked in. Service was very friendly and efficient. Our server also helped refill our teapot with hot water when we finished the first pot. I really enjoyed the meal here and will definitely be back to try the dinner menu next time!

I was able to get a walk-in table for dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is pretty small,…read moreand the service was great. I will say, the restaurant felt a bit... drab. There was no music playing and it felt like everyone was whispering at their tables because it felt weird to talk at a normal volume. The interior design also does not match the quality/price of the food - I really think this place could use a redesign and new paint job... Anyway, the food overall was good, but definitely on the pricey side. We got two items off the seasonal menu - a spicy shrimp wonton starter, and the country fried rice. The wontons were good, but not spicy, and the fried rice was really good. It definitely could have used some chili oil on top, but was still good as it was served. The food also came out pretty quickly and was a great temperature. We also got the spicy string beans. They were alright, but not much better than any other dim sum restaurant's. Our total after tax & tip was about $100 for two people, with just two starters, one main dish, and a single beer. This definitely feels high for the quality/quantity of the food, but the great service helps makes up for this. I would say if this place got a redesign and lowered the prices a bit, it would be booked up every day.

Everything is cooked/baked the day of sale and it's all to go. There's nowhere for you to eat onsite. Find a park nearby and eat there! Or just eat standing on the sidewalk! Depending on who you get, the service varies. They sometimes yell at you. The woman that helped me today was yelling at me. I think it's not meant to be rude, or so I keep telling myself. Ha ha. I used to work nearby so it was very easy to grab takeout for lunch or to bring home. it's hard to know how much things cost, all you have is the big sign on the wall. They do not give you an itemized receipt. Don't even ask! All

I personally thought the rude staff influenced the experience. While ordering, they completely cut us off and asked the couple behind us what they want instead and let them go in front of us. Yes we were ordering a lot due to us ordering ahead for a larger group of people. We tried ordering 3 two pound containers of noodles and the woman said that's too much so we ordered 2 two pound containers instead. We ate at a bar near by. While eating I found a lot of fatty pieces in all the of the dim sum which was not my favorites although some people prefer it that way. The noodles were pretty good too but very dry, needs siracha or some type of sauce. Wish they had chopsticks too but they only had forks.
