Came to this place twice in a week early for their 11am opening and twice it was a no show for the business. Operating hours should be posted as TBD. Wasting people time. No consideration at all. Unbelievable principles.

The place is new, but the food isn't too bad. Their ayran wasn't the best, but I liked their kofte. Overall, it was worth trying it out. There is still room for improvement in terms of flavor overall.

Excellent Adana kabab. I just realized the chef Seyhmus is from Mardin. I guess thats why this is one of the best AdanaKabab I had in US. Very jucy and flavorful. Great job guys!

The food was very authentic. The adana kebab was super juicy and flavorful. Service was incredibly friendly, they gave us a free tea on the house. Lovely experience overall, and delicious food to match the experience

Love the adana kebab wrap. The meats great but what makes the sandwich is the garnishing. Fresh chopped tomato onion and parsley. So great!

You have to try the Adana Kebab wrap, it was perfectly seasoned, and had just the right amount of spice.

For starters we tried the manti and kopoglu. The yogurt that the manti came in was incredible -- the garlic flavor was so tasty! Luckily they gave us bread so we could finish off every last bit of it. I wish they gave more than 5 pieces in the order though.. next time we'll just order two. The kopoglu was pretty good too and paired very nicely with their house made bread, which btw is perfectly fluffy and amazing for dipping. For the main I had the Adana kebap which was amazing and the highlight of the meal for me! Everything from the meat to the veggies down to the rice was incredibly well seasoned. The lamb was tender and very juicy. BF ordered Çemenli tavuk which was also super tasty. It had this great smoky flavor and very tender too. We were excited to take the leftovers home. Overall, highly recommend for date night or a girl's night. The service was also great and food came out pretty quick. Thanks, Meyhouse!

This was a good bread, round and splittable like a pita, served hot from the oven and sprinkled with some seeds (I think sesame, although I didn't pay close attention). 2. Meze Trio: patlican ezme (roasted eggplant, bell peppers), haydari (garlic yogurt dip with mint and dill), girit (ezine cheese with pistachios, oregano, olive oil). Loved the eggplant--tender and tasty! The yogurt dip was good, but I couldn't eat large amounts of it. The cheese was ok, a bit too heavy for us. 3. Ahtapot (grilled octopus on lime mashed potatoes and paprika butter). I didn't eat this, but the kids liked it. The octopus seemed very tender, and the potatoes were good. 4. Roka (arugula, diced cooked beets instead of tomatoes, honey mustard). Good, but the creamy dressing made it feel a little heavy after a while. 5. Mercimekli imambayildi (lentils-stuffed roasted eggplant). Imam bayildi translates as "the imam fainted" (because the dish is so delicious, maybe?). This was excellent. The eggplant had a wonderful smokey, roasted flavor. The lentils were good. There was a garlic yogurt moat around the eggplant. 6. Kunefe (shredded filo, melted cheese center, syrup, pistachios, scoop of Maras ice cream). Very good, maybe a bit too much for the three of us, maybe better if split four ways. Located on the corner of San Carlos and El Camino. Street and lot parking nearby.

The atmosphere was stylish, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed evening out. We shared several Mediterranean bites, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and each dish was packed with flavor. The cocktails were excellent, and my husband especially enjoyed the Japanese whiskey flight, which was a fun way to sample a variety of unique whiskeys. It was a great addition to the meal and made the experience feel even more special. As fans of Pera Mezze House in Roseville, we were excited to learn that Meyhouse shares the same ownership, and the same attention to quality and hospitality definitely shines through. Great food, delicious drinks, and wonderful service. We look forward to coming back the next time we're in Palo Alto!

I was put in charge of finding a group lunch spot (a responsibility I do not take lightly), and…read moreafter a bit of digging, landed on Meyhouse on Emerson in Palo Alto. As someone who likes Turkish food, this felt like a strong contender. Food: We started with the lahmacun which is made up of a thin Turkish flatbread topped with ground beef, tomato, onion, pepper, and garlic. It was beautifully thin and crispy, with just the right amount of topping. Honestly, add a small salad and you've got the kind of lunch that makes you feel satisfied. This lahmacun is one of the better versions I've had which made it extra tragic to learn it's a lunch-only situation. Why gatekeep happiness to daytime hours? For my entree, I ordered the Alinazik which was grilled tenderloin skewers over eggplant labneh. The beef was tender and the labneh was creamy, savory and a tad smoky. I saw that they offer a $44.95 prix fixe menu, which sounds great in theory, except for the small catch that everyone at the table has to commit. A bit of a "we ride together, we prix fixe together" situation which may not work depending on your dining companion(s) dietary restrictions. Atmosphere: The space is bright, airy, and stylish. The high ceilings resulted in lots of natural light, and a large bar that quietly suggests, "you could have a cocktail or two." One slightly odd note: The bathroom lighting is very dim. Like... "is this ambiance or did someone forget a switch?" kind of dim. Not a dealbreaker, just a curious contrast to the otherwise well-lit space. Overall: A solid pick for Turkish food in Palo Alto located off Emerson and a successful group lunch choice (I will be taking full credit). I'd happily come back to explore more of the menu. I'm already eyeing the Pirzola (bone-in lamb chops) or the Filet of Levrek (branzino) and maybe lobby for all-day lahmacun.

**Rating take out only**…read more Ordered take out for Father's Day. I got the Sultana Combo, lentil soup, and a chicken wrap. The Sultana Combo looks like not a lot of food, but is actually a lot of food! 3 adults ate this, had their fill, but still had some leftovers for the next day. My favorite part was the rice, other people's favorite parts were the veggies or the soup (we don't usually eat a lot of protein, but the protein was also good!). It's not an elevated, elegant dish, especially not to-go-ed, but it's hearty, homey, and filling. There wasn't a part we didn't like or didn't think was worth the money. They have ample indoor and some outdoor patio seating; on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, seems lime many people opted for the outdoor seating. While waiting for my pick up order, there was one party in front of me that waited for (apparently) an excessive amount of time because the kitchen was backed up. The workers were extremely kind, and even gave them baklava as an apology! Small things like that show that the store cares more for the community than just getting orders out. My only gripe is that I felt like everything was extremely salty--the three of us were chugging water all night after our meal. I think the salt levels work well if there was plain rice or plain veggies, but when everything is salted so each part of the dish can be eaten alone, you end up feeling parched and bloated at the same time... not a good feeling. Regardless, recommend!!
