Food quality was great! The pide was crispy and flavorful. The other meat dish I forgot the name of was also great! Bread (not pictured) was also soft and fluffy, went well with the olive oil and vinegar. The staff were nice and welcoming. Portions did lean just slightly on the smaller side though.

Attentive and friendly staff, and the food was delicious. The bread was great, and the beef patty kofta was well-seasoned. The Sigara Böreği were rich, and there was plenty of bread to enjoy with the dips and olive oil, perfect amount of food overall. The shrimp were huge and tasted fresh. Ending the meal with baklava and Turkish tea was a great touch, perfect for relaxing and slowing down after eating.

Mangal is a hidden gem! We have been passing by the restaurant for years, and we finally had the chance to check it out. The decor takes you on a journey to Turkey. Our daughter enjoyed seeing all the decorations of fruits and the tv playing different scenic picture of Turkey. The staff are super attentive and friendly. Our daughter is 2, and she makes it known with her energy and volume. The staff were understanding and engaged with her, which was a relief to us. Initially, the menu was a bit overwhelming. However, our server, and we assume the owner, walked us through it and provided recommendations. We went with... 1) combo appetizer with the yogurt, atom, baba ghanoush, and picked vegetables. Everything was flavorful and fresh. We deemed it better than Dish Dash's appetizer combo. Shhhh. The baba ghanoush was not as smoky as I am used to, but had good flavor. It was not overpowering. 2) Branzino meal - fish was cooked perfectly. The skin was crispy and flaky. The fish, although thin, was juicy. It came with a side salad and rice. Salad was delicious!!! 3) We got an assortment of meats: 1 shrimp, 2 orders of chicken shish, and 2 orders of filet mignon shish. Everything was amazingly tender and seasoned well. Initially, we thought the portions were rather small, but the food was rich and we had leftovers. The shrimp was a bit overpriced at $6/piece. 4) Their assortment of bread was amazing! Super moist and fluffy! It paired well with the appetizer combo. 5) Drinks: Maker's near and Tito's soda. Decent pour and well-balanced drink. We would definitely like to come back, but skip on the drinks and combo. We probably stick to the dinner meals as well. All in all, a great first experience, and Dish Dash's has some serious competition.

Chicken thigh dinner entree. Chicken was tender, juicy, and well marinated.

We visited this restaurant for the first time a few days ago on a weeknight. It's a large space with very few customers. Menu was small. Waitress informed us that they have changed from Turkish food to Persian food. Not knowing what to expect, we ordered a chicken dish, a beef dish, and babaganoush as appetizer. You know sometimes when a restaurant is too quiet you wonder if they manage to keep the ingredient fresh. To our surprise, all the food came out excellent from quality, freshness, seasoning, and cooking. Portion was generous. I like the variety of complementary sides they put on the plate. Service was also excellent. Dinner entrees range from $22 to $36, quit reasonable for what they deliver.

The first thing I have to mention is the incredibly unique free bread that is given to the table. It is a traditional Turkish bread that is huge and a nice way to compliment the meal. The portions are not that big by the quality and taste are great. I tried the combination plate and all of the meat options were tasty and juicy. The interior is huge with plenty of seats, and the staff are very helpful.

Overall their kebabs were dried. $30 for Chicken special; $33 for a thin slice of beef tenderloin which was super dried.

The 1 star is for everyone's awareness of they had changed the menu completely and no longer a Turkish restaurant. Sorry for the long review but need to let people know about the change of this place. Our first time at this place last night. I even called to ask about their Turkish grill a day before since we planed to treat our friends who came all the way from Japan. We were super disappointed when they gave us a menu that only serve a few entrees of kebab (forgot to take picture of their current menu), very limited of salad options, plus Persian dessert? I showed the pictures from Yelp and asked the waitress, she said those were old menus. We asked how old and whey did they change, she said 2 weeks ago! I was like... but I called just a day ago that they didn't say anything. What a scam! The waitresses there were polite and filled with smiles but they acted weird. When we still had food on our dishes, they kept asking if we were done. After a few times, one of us said she's good, the waitress took away her dish while we still had food on the table that we were sharing. There were only 5 tables of customers in the restaurant, the place was quite empty, not sure why they were so rush. So after other friends finished the shareable food, another waitress gave the charging device to our friend without giving us the check or showing us what we have ordered, just directly put the charging device on our table, that we had to ask for the check to see if we were charged correctly. So awkward! About the food, not too bad. The chicken special was ok and the beef was dried, anyways we managed to finish them all. At least their salad dishes were fresh.

I don't usually write negative reviews--mostly because I do my homework and tend to choose places I'm genuinely excited about. This one was disappointing enough to feel worth documenting. My boyfriend and I ended up here after attempting to go to Treehouse nearby (which had an hour wait--unsurprising given the concept). This restaurant was a short walk away, which actually worked out well given how congested the area was, and we walked in optimistic. The space itself is very large, but nearly empty for a weekday evening. It felt family-owned and casual, which I usually love--many of my favorite restaurants fall into that category. Unfortunately, the experience didn't reflect that warmth. We were given a different menu than other diners, which immediately felt odd. Service wasn't overtly rude, but it was noticeably unwelcoming--almost a "why are you here?" tone rather than hospitality. We ordered hummus and feta, both of which were surprisingly expensive for the portion and quality. We were told bread would arrive automatically with the hummus, but it didn't--despite asking multiple times. When it finally arrived, it was poorly cooked and no longer served any purpose, as we were already well into the meal. Despite the restaurant being far from busy, our mains took about 30 minutes. One dish--a kebab--was fine but very forgettable for a $30+ price point. My dish, dumplings in a yogurt-based sauce, was honestly inedible. I left it untouched and mentioned that it didn't taste good. The response was simply, "Oh, so you don't want a box?" No attempt to fix the issue or even acknowledge it. What sealed it for me was the overall condition of the place. Dirty cutlery, a generally rundown interior, and a lack of attention to cleanliness made it uncomfortable to eat there. I'm not picky about ambiance when the food and service deliver--but here, nothing quite worked together. The whole experience felt very turn-and-burn, as if the restaurant relies on proximity to a popular area rather than repeat customers. I left feeling like unless you're part of a specific in-crowd, this isn't a place that's trying very hard to win you over. Personally, I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't recommend it--especially given the pricing and the many better options nearby.

I still love this place but I wanted to inform any prospective guests about the honestly and integrity of this restaurant. In short theyre very honest, hardworking people, in a industry that is challenging even on its best days. I got the wrong bill, paid it, tipped on it and left but I discreetly e-mailed the restaurant several days later. They invited me back and paid me back in cash and offered dessert. One time I left my credit card here and they offered me tea, coffee and a snack! I've been here probably about once every couple months and I thank everybody from the bottom of my heart for their generosity. I've reviewed this place a few times already but I think for a group or just a couple, the food here is of the very best quality you can probably have for the money. The service has always been impeccable and Turkey in general is home to the best food, some of the best doctors, and the nicest hospitality in the world. I strongly suggest if there are any meat lovers in the area, make a detour to visit. The meat is all very high quality, cooked over coals, and presented beautifully. Full bar too!

Surprised there were not that many people here during Friday lunch. Probably around 3 other tables. They have complimentary bread with oil and vinegar. It's alright, would be nice if the bread was warmed up. I ordered the Sujuk Pide and Kunefe. First time trying both and they were pretty good. Although, the Pide is much more of an appetizer than an entree. It was basically a cheesy flatbread and the Sujuk is a dried sausage. There wasn't that much Sujuk. The Kunefe was interesting. Sort of similar to baklava, but with cheese and different texture. There was a tad bit too much sugar syrup and butter.

I stopped by on a Sunday morning for some Turkish food from the menu. To my surprise, that was the brunch time. And their brunch is a fan favorite. Everyone was there for brunch. It was $35 for a lot of appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks. I started of with a soup, which was very nice. Then I went for many rounds of food. Ezme was especially delicious. Beef pastry was excellent as well. Overall its worth it.

Hosted a party of 20 here for a Sunday lunch and the staff was so accommodating and easy to work with. We came in and preordered the week before and we got everything we asked for in a timely manner. We ordered apps of 4 dips, mixed platters of bbq, and a large knafeh (they helped slice and serve), which were all delicious. The chef even came out to our table to check on us and that was really nice. All of our guests were pleased with the quality of food and service, it really made the day special. Would highly, highly recommend (:

So the girlfriend arranged double date night with our lovely neighbor and since none of us have had Turkish cuisine in Sunnyvale, she picked this amazing restaurant. Friendly staff greeted us when we walked in & the exceptional service continued throughout the meal. Our server asked about our dietary preferences then made wonderful recommendations including libation. We ordered more vegetarian choices than animal protein because the photos on the menu looked delicious. Apparently Mangal offers weekend brunch as well so more reason to return

I can't get away from their home made yogurt dishes which goes so well with the fresh bread. It's always a task to not over do it with appetizers because it's always so good. We also had the octopus which was super tender and had that charred taste. We tried the artichoke heart with prawns dish and it was good, but I don't know if I'd order it again (I would probably want to explore more of the menu). I had the Chilean Seabass for an entree and it was rich and full of flavor. We ended the night with some baklava and they gave us a little scoop of ice cream to top off the celebratory dinner. We'll definitely be back!

My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

There is the card green red signalling to the servers with the food whether to stop at the table or not. When our card was green all the servers walked by frequently and quickly. The chicken options were dry. Most the beef items were cooked well. The lamb was cooked medium well which was over in my opinion. The pork rib is good, just beware fatty. The grilled pineapple was good too. Tried the garlic bread which is more a garlic cheese bread. It was tasty. The basic items for the table are the plantains, mashed potatoes, cheese popovers. The mashed potatoes were well made very smooth with lots of flavor. The popovers are a little thick so can be a little tough to chew. This place is not for everyday and not at the high price point. I can't believe I haven't reviewed them after all these years dining here. My birthday dinner was here. We ordered the Omasake again but it always changes. This one included Wagyu steaks. Yes please! You must try this set menu at least once in a lifetime. It's worth it. Our server was Eduardo Ramirez. We asked for him again. He is a pleasure to chat with and explained everything we were going to eat. The sommelier even stopped by since my BF added wine pairings. He explained about the wines, flavor profile and where it's from. I'm addition Alexander's have bought a vineyard. They make their own wines. I can't wait until our next special dinner here.

The place was not packed and the atmosphere had more of a casual vibe than fine dining. I noticed a 3 parties came in to check out their private rooms for events during our lunch. Seems like this is a popular place for hosting. The food was delicious. My husband had the dry-aged New York steak, which had a nice crust and was well-seasoned. My daughter had the mushroom risotto, which I loved! It was exactly what you'd expect a solid mushroom risotto to taste and feel like. But, she preferred the Parmesan cheese on top of the truffle French fries. We also ordered the wagyu fried rice. Pretty solid dish as well, especially with the jammy onsen egg. I ordered the sea bass. It came with a miso broth that smelled so great even as the server poured it into my dish. The sea bass itself was perfect. It was buttery and surprisingly crispy. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my dish because something felt off. I tried to keep eating so as to not be rude because, aside from the off-ness, it was a very flavorful dish. It includes clams and I'm guessing that's the culprit. Later, i ended up getting sick :( I wanted to love this dish so bad!

The restaurant was very pretty, with a sleek and floral theme. Also, I noticed some herby smell which was pleasant so extra hats off to that detail. I placed a reservation of 5 at 7:45 pm on a Friday night with me and my family, and we had no issues getting to our table. We were a bit late, however staff made sure that we get seated in no time. Once we got sat down, we got our menus and took some time to decide what to order. Our amazing friend and waitress Elizabeth made sure to give us time to thoroughly look through the menu and decide on what we were going to eat. She was very friendly and caring, and was so excited to take our order, which elevated her experience. Her suggestions were perfect for our family. We ordered the Mixto Clásico ceviche, 2 orders of truffle mac and cheese, Arroz Con Mariscos, Pollo A La Brasa (Half chicken), Beef Anticuchero Roll, and Lengua a La Parilla. In five minutes, the staff already brought the ceviche, which included calamari, fish, veggies, and the taro chips. It was refreshing and citrusy. After we finished that , then another 3 minutes goes by, and everything arrived. I was so shocked on how fast they serve especially because of how busy they were. All the dishes were so fresh and cooked to perfection. The mac was so creamy, cheesy, and delectable especially because of the truffles. The pollo a la brasa was cooked nice and tender, served with fries, and that yellow sauce was addicting, literally ON CRACK. The lengua was great, the mashed potatoes along with the lengua, shrimp, and spicy sauce gave it texture and flavor. The nikkei beef antichchuero roll I was surprised with. Sushi in a Peruvian restaurant? However, I did not expect to be one of the best and interesting rolls I have tried ever. The arroz con mariscos was my favorite by far. It really reminds me of a Spanish paella, with a seafood galore presented with a bed of rice and veggies. It was very filling and delicious. Of course, we couldn't just end there, we obviously had to go for dessert. We chose the Tres Leches cake, and it was presented with chocolate, caramel, and strawberry sauce which was sweet and smooth. Paired with the cake, it was so good and a genius combination. In the end, when leaving, our staff asked us if we needed any extra help with anything before we left, which was a very kind gesture. When we left, the staff kindly greeted us a warm goodbye, and thanked Elizabeth especially for helping us order these great assortments of dishes. In the end, we left with our stomachs full of food and great memories. I am already looking forward to my next visit here, and please, give this Peruvian spot a try, because you will never go back to any other ones besides this spot.

This review is long overdue!…read more From the moment we sat down, Luke made our entire dining experience unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely excited to help us experience the best of the menu. To start, we were surprised with complimentary spicy meatballs and fresh crudités served with a delicious mascarpone cheese dip, a thoughtful touch that immediately set the tone for the evening. When we asked Luke for his recommendations, he absolutely delivered. We ordered the pork fried rice, and wow... 10/10! It was packed with flavor and is something I still think about. For our main course, Luke recommended the chef's choice preparation of the Chateaubriand, and it was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and one of the best steaks we've ever had. For appetizers, we ordered multiple rounds of the chilled oysters, a non-negotiable whenever my husband and I dine somewhere that serves fresh oysters. They were incredibly fresh and delicious. The cocktail menu was just as impressive. Every drink had its own unique flavor profile and beautiful presentation, making each one feel like an experience of its own. To finish the evening, we ordered the tableside Sticky Toffee Pudding, and it was the perfect ending. The presentation was fun, interactive, and absolutely delicious. Be.STEAK delivers so much more than just an incredible meal, it's a complete dining experience. The food, cocktails, presentation, and service were all exceptional, but Luke truly elevated the entire night. His recommendations were spot on, his hospitality was outstanding, and he made us feel genuinely welcomed from beginning to end. We can't wait to come back and will absolutely be asking for Luke again. Thank you for making our evening so memorable!

Terrific Food, Drinks, and Excellent Service!…read more I recently brought my daughter to Be.Steak.A for Sunday Brunch for her Birthday and it was excellent. Carlton provided excellent service from the start to the finish of our brunch. He was very friendly, detailed, knowledgeable, service-oriented, efficient, and professional. My daughter and I have eaten at many excellent restaurants and this is definitely one of them with the hot food and service from Carlton. We started off by ordering their three specialty Mocktails that they have listed in their drink menu. It was Amaro Almond Sour, SOHO Seventy Five, and Bitter Little Thing. I also requested a Strawberry Mojito. Their drinks are terrific! We could definitely taste and distinguish the different flavors within the drinks which were combined expertly. Hats off to the bartender. For the food, we headed straight to the hot food in the kitchen area where it was well presented and displayed. We had terrific Crispy Ribs, Salmon, Prime Rib, Beef Wellington, and Clam Chowder. There are many other choices and selections of foods which is all based on your personal preference. You definitely won't be disappointed. The Prime Rib and Clam Chowder were top notch and exquisite. We also tried their seafood station which included oysters, shrimp, fish, and crab. Those were good. The caviar station was nicely displayed with the different types of caviar. The caviar, with our understanding and perception, was a disappointment. It lacked true flavor, character, and ambience. But the dessert station was brilliant, impressive, and awe-inspiring. We tried a variety of cakes, the creme brulee, boba, mille-feuille, chocolate mousse, and they were terrific. Carlton brought out my daughter's birthday presentation and it is definitely something to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed the brunch and expert service from Carlton. Overall, an excellent experience with terrific food and and excellent service! Buongiorno!
