I get that the price reflects a high standard of service, ambience, food presentation, etc. but all of that is lost if the restaurant is only available for take-out. Serving such a simple dish in such a cheap bowl without any of the decor, service, ambience of the place makes the $22.89 price tag absurd. We sat outside on the patio with our dogs. We arrived at 7 and only had to wait 20 minutes for table. The menu is not to involved- we got the tomato soup which was a special, clam chowder, and the gyros sandwich, and two special martinis. The soups tasted home made and offered a lot of flavor. The clam shower is not real creamy and had the flavor of a slight chicken broth, so so good!!! The sandwich was salty and we could not eat it, they offered us something else but we declined and they removed it from the check. Service is great! The host a young man was great and helpful. The waitress made suggestions and knew the menu. A lot of places close down in North Conway close early but the kitchen was open till 9 PM and small bar until midnight. We got the feeling that we were for sure at a locals spot. Lots of people coming to pick up take out. With a stop, food make to order so it does not come out real fast. read more

Typically, restaurants will prioritize the entree and make meh side dishes, but every piece of the meal/experience (entrees, drinks, side dishes, ambience, and service) was extremely well thought out and created with craftsmanship. I ordered the Chicken Piccata with lemon caper butter sauce and it was super flavorful and fresh! The other dish was the Roast Beef Tzatziki with fries. For dessert, I had the crème brûlée with real vanilla beans. It was candied at the top and the custard was ultra smooth. If you're up in North Conway, this place is an absolute must. Actually ate here for dinner one night and lunch a few days later. First night, lettuce wraps for app and I had pork belly tacos and wife had chicken risotto. I would have skipped tacos after the lettuce wraps (to close in flavor). But they were tasty. Risotto was excellent. For lunch, I had a tasty carrot curry soup. Then we split a burger. Was a super flavorful burger. Overall, great experience for a typically busy restaurant town. read more

Overall: 4.5 stars Lobster Bisque : 5 stars This is my favorite dish out of all of them. It's a well balanced dish that really brings out the lobster flavor. It was creamy but not heavy, which I love, and it has actual lobster pieces! Charcuterie Chef's Choice: 3.5 stars I was torn between giving it a 3.5 or 4 stars. The cheese selection were delicious but the meat and the smoked salmon were too salty. They don't really compliment each other well. I ended up eating the cheese on its own and adding it to my fries and the chicken piccata. Chicken Piccata: 5 stars I'm not a big fan of chicken dishes (unless it's fried chicken) but this has convinced me otherwise. The chef is brilliant! They seared the chicken with eggs that gives us the crispy chicken skin texture without the oily feel to it. I love it! Turkey Avocado Sandwich: 3.5 stars I would have to say this 3.5 rating is a bit biased. It's a good turkey avocado sandwich but I had it as my last dish. Learning that two people want to share one dish, she offered to divide most of the dishes in half. The halved portion was enough for one person. Taste - Naan chips & hummus were below average. French onion soup received thumbs up from everyone. Here, I tried oysters for the first time in my life and I liked them; they were fresh and not very salty. But the winner for me was chicken piccata; I loved the tangy and buttery taste of the dish. Buddha bowl had all the right ingredients but we didn't like it maybe because our Indian palate is not accustomed to a bland taste. We visited the North Conway area a few weeks ago. After a long day, we decided to eat at a local restaurant that looked appealing. Upon entering here, the host looked at the piece of paper in front and pointed a table by the window. Then a waitress, took us to the table and gave us the menus. As we were looking at the menu, one of the waitresses approached us in a very stressed and insistent manner, telling us we had to move to another table. Apparently, some important people at the bar wanted to sit at the same table. We were quite shocked and asked why and where we should move. She glanced around and pointed to a random table right in front of the door and hostess stand. Our party included a small child and an elderly person who were both very tired and hungry. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to leave the restaurant. I still don't know why exactly they wanted to move us. Maybe our touristy outfits made it obvious we were one-time visitors and thus seen as disposable. Or perhaps we didn't seem like we'd order a lot of liquor, unlike the group at the bar. Or, this might have just been an unfortunate fluke where waitresses made a mistake. At the end Irrespective of the root cause, it is never acceptable to push already seated people around in any restaurant. I never found out how the food tastes there, and I wasn't even curious to try. We then went to another restaurant a mile down the same road where the host and waitresses were smiling and welcoming. Our server Amy was very attentive and accommodating- didn't try to rush us and gave us time to peruse the bar selection and the menu. The bar selection was good and the pours were generous. The menu is not extensive but selections were eclectic. Husband started with tomato/Parmesan soup, followed by Korean beef lettuce wraps. I started with the duck rillette. We both had the udon pork bowl. All were delicious! It was good to try things we normally wouldn't but you can also get the usual plates if you wish. I knew in advance of my trip that reservations were highly recommended due to COVID capacity restrictions, but I didn't make one since I wasn't sure what time we'd get to the area. We called when we made it to town and were told that reservations were booked for the night. However, they put us on a waitlist and an hour later we received a text that our table was available. I am vegan and had the buddha bowl, which I loved. I was thankful to have a healthy option. My husband had the tuna steak, which he also enjoyed. The server was very friendly and attentive. Only the slight sweetness of the sweet potatoes dominates the whole flavor of the dish. The same problem exists for Korean beef. The only taste is the sour taste from the pickle. Maybe more Korean sweet BBQ sauce can make this dish better. Anyway, I hope I can have another chance to try more dishes.
