3/15/25 Hubby is on the market for a small wok because he watched cooking shows in Japan on YouTube. It's highly suggestible, let's see if his fantasy will last long enough to actually produce a dish for me hahaha! I read the reviews by previous Yelpers (thank you Robert!) & I am encouraged to know the positives. This place didn't disappoint.... except Hubby. He didn't find a small wok. He could've asked the very friendly & welcoming staff but he wanted one NOW. We were pressed for time & just wanted a "lay of the land" when we visited. Most likely to return to check out the rest of what Chef's Toys has to offer: kitchen tools, equipment, appliances, gadgets etc. Parking lot is not crowded for a Saturday & it's free, this store is open to the public. It is also located in an industrial area of Corona & next door is store selling new & used kitchen equipment, will check that out next time when we visit this shop on a weekday. read more

Got all my knives sharpened at Chef's Toys. Now I can cut paper and wooden logs like on TV. Oh I do love sharp knives. You have never cut an onion so nicely and fast! Carne Asada will be no match! Next stop: Stater Bros to get 1 1/2" stakes. Cutting them on the bias will be a joy. I warned Mrs. Yelper over and over--BE CAREFUL. Sharp knives are supposed to be safer than dull ones, but Mrs. Yelper does not speak knives and sometimes cuts things in her hands like The Old Times. I will stay vigilant. read more

They got all the toys. I don't work at or own a restaurant. The right tools makes cooking more enjoyable and the got the tools.

I feel that hubby and I are adulting it when we get excited to go to a restaurant supply shop, lol. To be fair, Chefs' Toys has a lot of great stuff, has a good amount of stock, and they're open to the public so that those that don't own a restaurant can come by and check out their products. Parking lot is a good size. Never had any issues with parking here compared to the one in Placentia/Anaheim. Inside has always been clean and organized. Whenever we've visited, it hasn't been super-busy, but I don't know if that's because we just come in at that perfect time, or perhaps people come in very early or very late depending on work. Regardless, we're able to find out what we're looking for, and still be able to casually browse without feeling claustrophobic. Prices are okay. They're not super-discounted, but they're not crazy-priced, either. There also isn't a huge pressure to buy; you can always come back later. Cambrios and mixing bowls have been our go-tos, but there's always been a lot of miscellaneous items that we never thought of before that has been great in our home. Service is fine. Due to starting a ramen project with my wife last year, I've found myself in a variety of restaurant supply stores in many different cities including a number of different Chefs' Toys locations. This is my favorite one to go to, though, by far. Although it doesn't always have everything I need, it's pretty easy to have most things I'm looking for sent over for pickup given the small scale of our project at this time (weekly pop ups, primarily at smaller breweries while we refine our skills further). Of all the Chefs' Toys locations - and all the restaurant supply stores I've gone to in general, from the western IE out to Anaheim, Santa Monica, etc. - this location is consistently the best overall experience. All 7 staff members I've encountered over the course of many visits have always been friendly and helpful to me and any other customer who has been around at the same time. It's a bit of a drive compared to a couple options, but unless Chefs' Toys doesn't carry or can't obtain what I need in time for an event, I try to go here so I can avoid the typical negative atmosphere many business locations develop. Somehow this crew has been consistently nice even though they probably have plenty of stress and whatnot just like everyone else. Having worked in retail in my youth, I really appreciate and amd thankful for the extra effort the employees clearly put in at the Corona location to treat customers like real people. I love this place! You can find anything you want for your home or business kitchen here and at reasonable prices! I'm like a kid in a candy store here! I've lived right down the street from here and never knew this gem was here until I looked for a knife sharpening service. They offer knife sharpening not only super inexpensively but also at super fast turnaround times!! I took my knife in on Saturday, they said it would go out on Monday and would probably return on Thursday but could return sooner, they would let me know. They called me on Tuesday that it was ready for pickup, one day turnaround!! That's awesome!!! When I went to go pick it up, when I walked through the door, they knew who I was and had my knife ready on the counter for me ready to check out! Awesome customer service!! The knife turned out amazing, it didn't need a sharpening, it was brand new, it was a gift that I received but unknowingly had been dropped before I received it and the tip completely bent over on itself. The tip needed to be cut off and blended back in to the rest of the blade so that it was not noticeable and still a nice sharp tip. It turned out amazing, unnoticeable and very sharp!! Awesome work, ever inexpensively!! I will be taking all my other knives there for sharpening when needed for sure!! I really hate leaving one star reviews but I brought my knives here to be sharpened and they came back duller than when I dropped them off. There was also a tarnish on them that was hard to remove and price stickers with the service order number that were also hard to get off. They told me when I dropped them off that they send them out to be sharpened and they removed the protective cardstock sheaths I brought them in with, and they came back with the blades unprotected. Some poor judgment on my part to trust them with my nice knives, but you can learn from my mistake. read more

I've visit this location quite frequently, and yet it never fails... each time I'm always given the cold shoulder. The "gentlemen" that work on the computers behind the counter aren't friendly or welcoming. They tend to stare me down and give off very unpleasant looks. I own a small business as well as manage a kitchen in my professional career and I have plenty of experience with items being sold here. I love the store and the merchandise being sold, but I'd rather take the drive to a different location to have a better shopping experience. This is the newest of the Chefs' Toys, but the first location in the Inland Empire. After trying to break down their doors on more than one occasion in the past couple of weeks, we discovered that it officially opened the morning of July 11, 2015. You may be more familiar with Star Restaurant Equipment & Supplies, apparently another store of their chain, according to their website. They carry heavy duty appliances and sundry restaurant supplies, everything you could possibly need to run a professional kitchen. No food items. You will find them in an industrial location that is off the beaten track, but is still quite accessible from the freeway. Very different from the la-dee-dah elegance of Sur La Table or Williams Sonoma, this is a warehouse filled with no nonsense, work horse drool factor. The nice thing is they not only provide supplies for restaurateurs but open to the public for inspiring the wannabe home chef in all of us. Mr. B and I have been to several older stores in the LA and OC area and have happily stocked our kitchen with enviable sturdy stuff that you can't find in a normal retail store. Of course, doing your homework before you buy is wise, unless you simply *must* have it regardless. They carry lots of interesting stuff. read more

I been to several of their locations (Corona, Fountain Valley, Anaheim, Torrance) and they all have large showrooms with a wide variety of restaurant utensils, cooking equipment that they carry. The staff members are always helpful and attentive.......you're never hounded on buy a salesperson, however they are readily available to answer questions or provide prices. And most importantly, their prices are very competitive.......usually cheaper than most places and on some occasions cheaper than internet pricing. read more

The employees always greet me when I walk in and are always offering assistance. I recently called in to ask for an item and the employee could not find it in the computer. So he went to look for it and found what I needed in stock. I have also ordered online and it was easy to pick up. read more

Starting a business can be daunting, yet exciting! Chef's Toys thankfully houses much of the equipment I need to run a successful operation at a very competitive price, often dollars cheaper than online retailers. The best part is I can get what I need right away and since it's close enough to pick up, shipping costs for heavier items aren't a thing I have to worry about anymore. I must admit, their staff isn't very customer service oriented. Every time I have gone it, the handful of people behind the register just stare at me. Not any sort of greeting or offer of assistance. Though I find what I need and am happy about the products I have purchased, I do appreciate good customer service, too. read more

If you value your knives, do NOT go to this place. I had 5 knives "sharpened" here and all, every single one them, came back with a damaged blade. Uneven bevel, scratches along the entire length of the blade, very rough finish, and a couple of them the tip was gone and became rounded with a burr hanging on the end. My fillet knife was a 1" blade and came back 1/2" with the profile completely changed. Luckily, I did not give them my Japanese knives or they would have been destroyed. Whoever they use, (they don't sharpen on-site) obviously does not know what they are doing let alone anything about knives. Yelp has other sharpening services listed... look elsewhere. read more

I bartend as a side hustle and every now and then, if I don't have time to order my supplies through Amazon, I will come here because they have a great selection of the basic tools for my job. If given the time, I could and have, spent hours in this store going through all the equipment they have and the gadgets and toys I could possibly invest in. I am never disappointed when I come here and they are resonably or comparable to online stores. All the employees are helpful and they always greet you when you first walk in the doors. read more

Was in here this past Saturday and picked up a couple of spatulas. Very nice place, clean and roomy aisles. Good prices, too. Lots of the good stuff. Basically, if you've seen a piece of cooking equipment on one of the cooking shows and wondered where you can get it, this would be a good place to check. They also have many, if not most, of the add on gadgets for your Kitchen Aid mixer right on the shelf. I can't really assign a "$" price point, since it varies from moderate to pricey, depending on what you're after. Some items are just high ticket, but I have a feeling that you'll have to do some looking to beat Chef's Toys' prices. Very friendly and helpful staff. I've been to a lot of wholesale to the public restaurant supply places in the Inland Empire, Orange County, and Los Angeles, and this one really impresses me. They do it right. There are several reasons I love this store: I am not a professional, I'm "just" a home cook. But I love to cook and I love tools that help me cook. I really appreciate having access to tools at a good price. I especially love the well priced cookie sheets, tongs, and Cambro. Last year, my husband and I came through to purchase items for our Boy Scout Troop Patrol Boxes - the color-coded tongs were perfect for our color-coded boxes. I also appreciate the selection of Lodge cast iron. I could really go on and on. But above all, one of the reasons I appreciate this store is Rod. Make no mistake, the entire staff has always been helpful and as "just a home cook" I've always felt comfortable and welcome in this store. In particular, on multiple occasions, Rod has taken time to help me find items or make suggestions when I was planning a party. I am the type of customer who appreciates feeling a connection to the businesses I frequent and Rod has made me feel like a valued customer.
