We went on New Years Eve for their special menu and we were very disappointed. We started off with the "Wangyu of the sea" which was basically unseasoned seared tuna. It didn't have much flavor and neither did the sauces. We then went with the crab cakes. The kale cous cous underneath was great. The crab cake was seared however, the texture of it made it seem like it was seared earlier and then steamed. For my entire, I picked the Mediterranean sea bass with a lobster tail. I've seen shrimp bigger than the lobster tail that was served. Not only that, the first one they gave me still had the mud vain running through the center. I sent it back. I tried the next one they brought out and it tasted like it was never washed. Very gritty. The sea bass was basically deep fried which I did not expect. It tasted like walleye over rice. For a $350 wine and food pairing meal, it was not worth it. We will not be going back. read more

Had dinner here tonight with my husband. We decided on the small plate fixed price menu. I had the PEI mussels in wince, butter and pesto and...OMG...I have never had a better bowl of mussels, ever. I would have licked the bowl if I thought people wouldn't stare! I also ha the waygu beef surf and turf. The beef was soooo tender and cooked to perfection. The shrimp were butter poached - nothing special but still tasty. My husband started with the burrata salad of grilled avocado and tomato. Very tasty and an entire half avocado! For his main he has filet en crute that was cooked to perfection. It came with spinach which was fresh and crunchy, and fried onion strings which he could have done without. We had to take our desserts home because we were so full, but even later, the creme brûlée and carrot cake were tasty. We will definitely be back when we are next down in Green Bay! read more

However, I kept comparing it to Plae Bistro; both restaurants are similar in cost. At Plae the food exceptional and the tables aren't so crowded. I'm happy I tried Chefusion because now I know Plae is the better choice. For reference I ordered: Lobster Bisque (needs more lobster flavor, i could only taste sherry), Tournedos & Lobster (lobster was delicious, but one filet medallion was med-well the other was rare), and Butter Cake (delicious like an under baked butter cookie). read more

Ordered carryout from Chefusion for a birthday dinner and was underwhelmed. I wasn't expecting a ton at their price point, but the amount of lobster on my sandwich was tiny. Normally I wouldn't complain about portion size, like for the lobster, but the amount of pork belly given with the same dish was massive! It was like they were trying to make up for the little lobster with the pork. I normally love pork belly but this preparation wasn't my favorite. The au gratin wasn't good. The red meat in one of the dishes even tasted a little game-y which is an immediate turn off for me. Some people love that flavor in red meat though, so some might enjoy it. Though I don't think there was a single dish out of the three ordered that we even finished. Three stars because it seems like they care about their craft and we didn't dine-in, so it'd be unfair to rate them low without having experienced their restaurant in full. My fat boyfriend didn't like the food and he eats crock-pot chili 5 days out of the week. Maybe Chefusion is above our tastes. Unique dishes though, I was excited to try them! read more

We stopped here on a Wednesday evening as a birthday treat from my fiance. Reservations were not needed. Atmosphere: The inside is very dark, quiet, and romantic. This is not a place to come and get smashed with your friends. On Wednesday's they have a special where you can get half off certain bottles of wine. The parking situation is bleh. The lot in the back was full due to the overflow of customers at the new AYCE sushi place next door. It was quite a hike to get there from where we parked. Service: The host/hostess station was occupied the entire time we were there. Which I admire, having someone greet you adds a personal touch vs. standing around awkwardly looking for someone. Very friendly and personable server. She made us feel important and the timing between the dishes was perfect. It was a 2 hour experience doing the 3 course offering, but was so much fun that it felt like 30 minutes. Food: I had the grilled avocado and burrata salad and my fiance had the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was fantastic, zero complaints there. The salad I felt would have been better off if they would have made it seasonal (for the acidity component)? Maybe some currants vs. a tomato (which is way out of season and had no flavor). We also received an amuse bouche from the chef that was playful and something we didn't expect. For entrees I ordered the sea scallops and my fiance ordered the pork chop. My fiance's dish was flawless, from the potatoes to the pork to the vegetables, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I struggled with a few things on my entree, they only seared one side of the sea scallops, the lobster risotto was overcooked and luke warm(I think you can expect that at most restaurants though because who has time to make risotto to order when it takes roughly 25-30 minutes to make a great risotto so they most likely parcooked it ahead of time). The cranberry gastrique was more of a puree? It had an off putting texture to it. Almost like a chunky ketchup. We ordered the newest dessert on the menu, caramel cheesecake with an almond crust. ZERO complaints about that dish, I would eat that as my dessert for every meal if my waistline was okay with it. We were stuffed so we had the ultimate brownie to go. It was just as delicious, almost a fudge like consistency. This will be a place we keep in mind going forward for celebrations and special occasions. read more

This was our second time visiting Chefusion. We decided to try the upstairs more casual lounge area instead of the downstairs main dining room. They serve the full menu upstairs as well as down. The food did not dissappoint. I chose the $50 menu and I chose the grilled avocado salad, ribeye and carrot cake for dessert. My fiancée had the $30 menu of five onion soup, lobster and pork belly blt and cheesecake. I was in awe of my food. It was soooo good. I never thought to have a grilled avocado and a baseball size of burrata cheese, it was mouth watering. Everything we ordered had so much flavor. I would've given it 5 stars however our waitress got busy with a larger table so we had to wait 30 minutes for boxes and pay our bill. read more

I hate to admit that all my time in I've lived in GB, I've never been to Chefusion. A buddy of mine was playing music there, so I went to check it out. There are two spaces here. The downstairs is more for the fine dining, and upstairs is a little more relaxed and casual...that's where they have live music. I felt a little out of place as the staff are really dressed up (which is a good thing) and everything there felt so swanky. When getting a drink, I was impressed with the craft beer they had on tap. A couple from Fair State (MN), Toppling Goliath (IA), and of course a couple GB beers. Both times it felt like it took a while to get a drink. There wasn't that many people there...maybe they were busy making cocktails. One time, I was asked if I was being helped and I said no. I think she was a manager as someone else ended up getting my drink and taking money. Speaking of money. The cost of one of my beers was $8.44. I've paid that much (even more) for a drink. Based on what I got, it's usually cheaper by a couple dollars. There's still a time and place to go here for a date night, anniversary, or special occasion. I think I'll pass when all I want is to get a drink. Plenty of other good spots that can quench my thirst, and not empty my wallet. read more

This place is awesome! This is my favorite restaurant in Green Bay right now. They have a great vibe (sit upstairs). It is a very warm atmosphere and often have live music on Saturday nights which is a great touch. The food is always amazing! The flavors are always great. The kobe meatloaf is fantastic. My boyfriend and I are your true millennials (per a college survey) that we spend most of our money on food, which is true! We've been knocking restaurants off of our bucket list and this was one we've heard lots of good things about Chefusion! We get there about 20 minutes before our scheduled reservation time and we're pleasantly surprised when told we could be seated right away to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. I ordered the Soup de jour and wasn't quite sure what it was but it was delicious! Thank you chef! Appetizer was AMAZING, we tried the artisan cheese sampler! We were able to try quite a few things we've never experienced before! Main course was awesome for both of us! Delivered with elegance and tasted as good as it looked! However, I must admit our waiter was slacking, was not timely with our drinks, or silverware, and napkins. Often I would turn around and see him leaning over and talking at the cash register. Millennial Foodies love good food but we also still enjoy respectable waiters... just because we are young does not mean we don't care, we are still spending the money everyone else is as well :) read more

I wish I could give this place 8 stars, it's really that good! The restaurant is gorgeous on the inside, definitely a fine dining experience. Each setting has a silver charger that really matches the tones throughout the restaurant. The waiter was honestly the best waiter I've had. Very knowledgeable on the menu, made fantastic recommendations, and took such great care of us. He was genuinely interested in what we were out doing that night, he boxed up courses for us we couldn't finish, and held them at the front so they didn't sit at our table. He deserved every penny of his $60 tip. Seriously. Outstanding. The food? Unghhhh. Just thinking about it makes me feel warm and fuzzy. The seafood was cooked to perfection, not overdone, but full of flavor. The steak was done medium rare as requested and melts in your mouth. The creme brule was the best one I've ever had, garnished with peanut brittle, a strawberry and homemade whipped cream. There's no way you will leave this place hungry. I ate at the lounge upstairs - which does really cool $3-$6 specials on Tuesday nights. The truffle fries, mini filet, and shrimp are my favorites of the mini starters. I've had certain specials that were a little skimpy on the lobster - but the ciopinno does a great job of heaping seafood chucks (as well as delicious dipping bread). Brought a co-worker here for dinner - she had never been even though we go to Green Bay a fair amount. I opted for something lighter this time and got the seasonal chopped salad with shrimp instead of red meat. Also got a side of the truffle fries and mushroom risotto to split. Best salad I've had in quite some time. I've seen more colorful salads with maybe better presentation (although this wasn't a bad presentation at all) but I'm nitpicking here. Also I don't care too much about this sort of thing as long as the flavors are there and the flavors were all present here. Great flavor combos with sweet and savory, some acid, etc. the fries were crazy good and the happy hour deal is great, you get plenty of fries for $3. Risotto was also killer with great earthy flavor. Cannot recommend this place highly enough to those in Green Bay, a must try for sure!!! read more

I love this place. The food is fabulous, they have a wonderful happy hour, live music on certain nights, attentive staff and so much more. It's not cheap, but if you go in for happy hour, they have small plates up in the bar and drink specials. The inside is dark and sexy, candlelight, with great ambiance. Some of my favorites are the volcano shrimp and ahi appetizers. The lobster bisque is out of this world! For entrees I love the steak and seafood, also love the lobster tail. They have a full bar with great beer and wine selections as well. This is a wonderful date night spot and also great for groups for celebrating. When we went to go to dinner the lower was booked they offered us dining upstairs. My girlfriends and I went to the lounge upstairs. There was live music as we dined and had cocktails atmosphere was nice. Our server was helpful and kind. One friend got the volcano shrimp they were delicious while I got the caprese salad(YUM) could have had a little more balsamic glaze but I didn't ask so that's fault of my own! We really enjoy the menu options. $30 (choice of small plate, soup and dessert) is the perfect portion size and still fills us FULL. The creme brulé cheesecake is my Kryptonite. The carrot cake with apple is fabulous too. The drinks are delicious and it's fun to hear the bartenders shaking ice all night. The music is always a great variety, good volume and a nice touch to making a special evening experience. The valet service is great, fast and efficient. One of the best places in Green Bay. I have never ate down stairs as it is a tad expensive. If you go on a Thursday they have great discounts on food and drinks that make it less expensive. You will want to sit upstairs to get the good deals. I really like their small plate options as you can get one or two with bread service for a complete meal. They have excellent soup and salad options. Lastly, they have a extensive drink menu to choice from. I love the martini's! read more
