I'm visiting from out of town and was excited to try this place out because of the reviews.. I came by myself because and signed up on their waiting list. At first there was a 1 party of 3 ahead they me.. they get seated and 2 more parties who signed up after me on the list of 3 and 4 show up and get set before me. I get it, they have more people so it's more beneficial for the restaurant to sit them first. But then I asked the waiter how much longer and he said I was next since a small table of 2 was about to open(it was up by the front were I waiting outside and could see the party was leaving). So I step back outside and wait since there's no waiting area inside and two people walk up and sign up after me again and they get sat before me again!! I'm cool and patient but they obviously didn't care to serve me since I was a party of one and larger parties we're showing up. I get business but at least accommodate your smaller parties with some seating. To say the least I won't be back and was super disappointed with the initial service. read more

stopped in for a late morning breakfast, not really knowing what to expect. I mean it's breakfast right. Chelly's Cafe did not disappoint. very simple menu no matter what it is you have a taste for. can't speak for everything but the Greek omelette I had was great, they allowed me to add a sausage with no problem. iced coffee on the house with all the creamer and sugar you may need. friendly and quick service. for simple food, breakfast, can't beat it. not too many places like this in the Palmdale area, so I'll definitely be going again if I'm in the market for a great breakfast that I don't have to make myself. next time I'll try the French toast . read more

The 2 stars are for getting seated super fast and we were 6. Food was bland and just not that great Eggs Benedict sauce tasted like vu gear had been dumped into the sauce ruined it for me. Love this place! I have been twice. The service is fantastic, everyone is warm and friendly. The food is great. Everything is homemade from scratch. They are only open or breakfast and lunch (until 3pm). Be sure to have the homemade muffins, they will knock your socks off. The biscuits and gravy is really great as well. They use fresh carved turkey, for me that wins huge points. Great spot!! Come and support this local mom and pop shop. read more

So today was my first time here as always a hidden gem in the middle of no where palmdale ha ! This place is amazing ! The food had so much flavor I loved the home fries my omelet was to die for my sister had the chicken fried steak and that gravy was amazing as well now the only con I found was that the prices are a little on the high end but you know what it was still great food I will be coming back with my family !!! read more

Chelly's was great! My family came on a busy Sunday and we were seating pretty quickly. It was about a 15minute wait. The orange juice was 100% delicious. I ordered bacon and eggs. Bacon was great! My toast felt cold and not fully toasted and my daughters fries felt under cooked. Wasn't a deal breaker but that's what kept me from offering a 5 star. The service was above average. Really good food, extremely slow service. The bus boys seemed to work harder than the waitress, who I couldn't see most of the time. Took 10 minutes for her to come acknowledge us after the bus boy brought us drinks. We got a patty melt, oatmeal with bananas and raisins, and a waffle with eggs and sausage. All were super tasty. Been here once before and service & food was good. Today it's SUPER crowded and custimer service sucks. We were seated at a table that wasn't cleaned and still had tip money on the table. We told the busboy that the table wasn't cleaned and the tip money was still there. He said that someone else would come and get it...25 mins later...it's still here. The busboy came by again and asked if someone came and got the trash that was in our table and we told him no. He looked at it while cleaning someone else's table and left. Idk what the problem was but even of it's someone else's table to clean, if I'm a paying customer, u should be picking it up so ur restaurant doesn't look bad in the customer service dept. So we ended up at Chelly's for a father's day breakfast. The wife has heard nothing but awesome things about the place, and she has been wanting to try it out. It being father's day the place was crazy busy. We were told that the wait wouldn't be long so we decided to wait it out instead of leaving for another restaurant. My wife assured me that it would be worth the wait, and it was. Waiting outside a fellow yelper who was also waiting, mentioned that it was the only breakfast place with 5 stars in Palmdale. I browsed through the reviews and everyone seemed to rave about the place. We had a large party of nine, and ended up breaking up the group to get seated quicker. The wait took a little longer than we were told but you could see that they were working hard to get people in and out with rushing anyone. The service was great. Our server quickly took our order and the food came out quickly. She checked on us often enough to make me happy. I went with the chorizo scramble with a side of home fries and toast. The food was well cooked and it was a good sized portion. The mixture of chorizo, tomatoes, and green onions tasted great with the scrambles eggs. My wife tried a different scramble and she said hers was also delicious. The kids all loved thier food too. Even my picky 6 year old cleaned off her plate of pancakes, eggs, ands sausage. My 2 year old was going to town on the sausage so much that we had to order her more. All the food was decently priced for the amount of food that you get.
