This store had a good selection for brands of vodka which is what I came for. However the front…read moredesk employee made me leave without the merchandise I paid for (yes, I'm over 21). After I made my selections I walked up to the register to finish my purchase. I asked the attendant at the register if they accepted apple pay and the woman said, "I don't know, you can try". I was pretty shocked at this but I saw that they had the symbol on their card machine so I proceeded. I tapped to fill out the prompts, signed, and received the immediate notification on my phone of the withdrawal from my phone. The clerk soon after told me that the card wasn't processed. I was confused and was trying to ask why it has been taken out of my bank. She immediately raised her voice to tell me she didnt get the payment and asked me to try again. I continued to question what we could do to figure it out; maybe there was an error in their system, or maybe the computer froze; I even suggested taking to the manager. She immediately got defensive, claimed to be the manager, and alarmingly raised her voice at me. I was even more shocked. And as she continued to speed up her speech insisting she didn't get the money I asked her to settle down. I said I was just trying to figure what is going on. She replied furiously questioning if I was giving her attitude. At this point she vigorously grabbed my bag and threw it behind the counter. This is when I couldn't help raise my voice back. I did not want this situation to get out of hand but I was now defending myself from her outrageous verbal attacks including calling me a son of a b*tch. I am utterly appalled that employees think it's okay to behave this way at a place of work! I am going make sure I get my money back but have been scarred by this belligerent interaction with this vendor.
