We ordered a sushi roll, a ramen and a chow mei fun as well as some hot tea. The sushi roll - the Lover Roll - was very, very good. As was the ramen. The tea was piping hot (just how I like it). Service was fine, nothing outstanding. It was a Wednesday night; I believe there was one other couple and a family also dining in. Most of the action was take-out orders. Cute little restaurant. This has avocado, caramelized shallots, pickled daikon, and roasted shiitake mushrooms, and is topped with a tempura crunch with kimchi and wasabi. Full of flavor. The edamame had a lot of flavor. I never thought I would write this in a review but I almost wish it was more bland. Edamame aside, this place is great! Service was some of the best experiences I've had, I loved the decor, and most importantly, the food was delicious!

I will give them a try again, because I know from previous experiences the pad Thai was usually great. That tofu is what I keep coming back for! Hopefully next time it'll meet my expectations. This was this past weekend on Friday night.

Chinese food is one of my favorites, and Chen Chinese Cuisine is my favorite in the area. From my perspective a huge advantage over many Chinese places is that they serve wine and beer in the restaurant. During the last year it looks as if some money has been spent on sprucing up the place, which makes it more pleasant to dine in than it used to be. When you go there bring along the whole family so you can order a good variety of the treats on the menu, and order more than you can eat so that there is some left over to take home. The egg rolls are one of the best ways to start off a meal, and make sure to dip them in the homemade mustard sauce. Then be sure to have some pot stickers which usually trigger a family skirmish as to who gets the last one. For the main course, I have a sweet tooth and find their lemon chicken and their sweet and sour pork irresistible. If you can manage it, their lunch specials are an even better value than the dinner menu items. Thank you Chen Chinese for making my life worth living! I recommend it to all my friends. read more

Visited Chen's Chinese Cuisine the other evening for the first time and was absolutely astonished with the quality that was presented. Food was delectable, service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was sensational! I ordered the General Tso's chicken; a delicious chicken dish with a tasty sauce with the right amount of spice, and then a King Roll; easily the best egg roll that has ever blessed my tongue. The Chen's Chinese Cuisine experience was further enhanced by my waitress Maggie, a kind and gracious young lady who quickly, accurately, and throughly answered all the questions I had regarding the menu. This, along with the friendly faces that belonged to the hosts that greeted me, the restaurants decor, and the dim lighting, created an overall intimate atmosphere that made me feel very comfortable and happy to be eating there. fuck these people. my wife has a mushroom allergy. she calls and places and order and tells them no mushroom for any of the orders. they write down for a specific order. when we get our food. noticed one of the items has mushroom in it. my wife had a reaction. when I called them and let them know. I was told by a manager that this was not "100%" their responsibility about what happened. we tossed all the food. I ended up taking wife to the er for a reaction. when I got a hold of them again about wife going to the er. all I was offered was 50% back from the order. no apology or anything. they don't know how allergic reactions work and cross contamination. if you have any short of allergy to food. these people will fuck it up and never take responsibility for their action. stay away from these people if you have allergies to food. read more

Do not I repeat DO NOT go to this place.. Someone gave me a gift card to use at this place. The gift card had both locations address on the card. When it was time to go pay the owner tells me even though he owns both places that his system at this restaurant isn't accepting the gift card and I must go to his other location. What difference should it make if I used it here or there if both address are showing. It shouldn't be the customer fault that they can't use the gift card because his system isn't compatible to his other system at his other restaurant.. I REALLY THINK THIS IS FRAUD AND IT'S A WAY TO GET PEOPLE TO BUY THESE GIFT CARDS BUT CAN'T USE THEM.. I will be reporting them to the attorney general &BBB as well.. Ps: The food sucked.. I really dislike it when Asian restaurants make hard rice, or let the rice it too long because you can always tell when the rice is getting stale. My hubby was craving Garlic chicken ( small size for $8). We were quite hungry so we had already began eating before I realized I didn't take pictures of the rest of the food. By the time I took a photo the garlic chicken has already been half eaten. I liked that it had a little zing to it with chili peppers flakes, and has a little sweetness to it which goes perfectly on top of white rice. My favorite part of this dish is that the chicken was moist and soft. I can't enjoy a dish when the chicken is overcooked as that makes the chicken really dry. They had the perfect big, fat eggrolls - two for $5.25. The homemade apricot sauce was on point -- 10 out of 10. Not too many place have great homemade eggroll sauce offered with eggrolls. And we're not talking about the sweet-and-sour sauce packets. Those are not the same thing! For us Chinese and Asians it's all about the sauce and my husband is super picky about it. That's how you tell it's legit eggrolls. He approves of this sauce. We only wish that they gave us two servings of it versus one because I quickly ate 2/3 of the small sauce container for my eggroll and he wasn't too happy. Lastly, we had the hot and sour soup (large size $6). The ingredient were fine, but I have to say it was too salty and missed a mark on the sour. Finding the right balance makes the sauce for me. I judge a lot of places by their soups. This one was close but I have to take off a star for that. Overall, this was a satisfying meal and it didn't break the bank. We will be back to try more dishes. I saw that on their menu, they have seafood boil, and I'll be interested in checking that out in the future. I also need to remember to take more pictures of food before my hunger sets in.
