I have known this family since they opened, and they are always adding to the menu, when I moved here menu was small and I loved how she would greet me, we became close and she watched my children grow up, she was my go to when I had my pregnancy cravings and she remembered, even when I became pregnant with my last child I would them for my craving needs and she takes very good care of us. Only thing she doesn't take credit card, but paying cash for her delicious food is worth it! I will keep going back as long as I'm In California, she's my go to when I come to visit. Kung Pao chicken has no peas I repeat it should not have peas or carrots. Also the Mongolian beef I ordered was made with vegetables. Unfortunately, the food was just not good--like to the point that no one wanted to eat the leftovers (despite a variety of tastes among us and a usual thirst for leftovers). We threw all leftovers away in the end. 4 entrees of totally different types (lo mein, pho, spicy noodles, "Thai" green curry; LOTS leftover) and 2 appetizers. I almost always get spicy noodles with chicken because it is perfection but sometime I have sweet/sour pork or beef broccoli, both are ono. The fresh spring rolls with shrimp are the best in San Diego county and I love the iced tea here. Some places have so much sugar you can't taste the coffee but theirs is just right. Teri chicken was served under a heaping mound of vegetables (cheap canned vegetables with very few fresh ones) and it's like treasure hunting for the chicken pieces, yes pieces....tiny morsels/slivers of chicken that was more like a boiled texture than sautéed. Same with the Kung pao, way too much canned vegetables and hardly any chicken. Sweet n sour pork was just sour pork, with again vegetable fillers! This is just an insult to Chinese food. read more

First the prices are crazy high for a such an ugly hole in the wall in a low end shopping center. There is no justifying $12 for one lo mein, mostly carbs, dish. On top of that, they only take cash and I usually dont like to carry around cash. Anyway, I got some food here and I am not happy. I ordered beef lo mein along with some orange chicken with some rice. The orange chicken was bad... it was overcooked and too salty. It barely had any sweetness and no tangy orange taste.
