New Chinese restaurant, food is good, service is great! Friendly staff. My favorite was the shrimp chow mein , also with the Thai tea boba!

It's so beautiful and clean! The workers are so welcoming and smells delicious. Definitely coming back to dine in since we only tried their boba !

The place is very clean and service was really quick. I just got the eggrolls though as I just wanted to check the new place out. It was a bit pricy though for only 2 eggrolls but the filling tasted great

    Pork Chow Mein

This was my first visit. The staff are very friendly and attentive everyone who entered including those stopping by to browse the interior. The interior is clean with a nice layout. There are maybe 10 tables, and therefore I imagine seating can be more difficult on a busy night or lunch rush though I ate here on a Wednesday afternoon with no wait. Takeout is offered here. I ordered the small Pork Chow Mein. The dish was very favorable. The small is large enough for 2 or 3 adults. I will come back to try another dish.

HANDS DOWN BEST AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD I'VE HAD IN SD !…read more I'm obsessed and already thinking about my next visit. If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. What started as a happy accident (spot we originally wanted was takeout only) turned into such a great discovery since they were kind enough to accommodate our group. The vibe when you walk in is so lovely. Place is super spacious with plenty of seating inside and around the table. It has a comfortable, welcoming feel. I also loved the round spinning table it made it so easy to share dishes family style. It's the perfect spot for a small group if you want to split a bunch of plates and keep it budget friendly. They also served tea, which added to the classic sit down experience. We ordered 6 dishes which were all amazingggg and fed all of us, with even leftovers ! I'll list them in order of favorites: 1. Dry-fried string beans - absolute 10000/10 just try them! so much flavor. 2. Orange chicken - sauce was amazing, very thick and flavorful, chicken tasted crispy and delicious. 3. Chow mein w/ beef - super fresh, noodles cooked to perfection ! tasted homemade. 10/10 4. Spi deep-fried fish cumin - my gosh, this one really stood out! I could still taste this absolute goodness. Strong cumin aroma, but not overpowering in flavor. If you like fish but are hesitant about cumin, don't worry, just try it! You might stumble upon a new favorite dish. 5. Fried rice combo - solid and flavorful on it's own, didn't even need soy sauce or chili oil. 6. Garlic crispy pork ribs - still good, but wish the garlic flavor came through more. I barley tasted any garlic. Pieces are bite size w/ some small bones, just be careful. Good, but not my favorite compared to everything else. Honestly, the chow mien and cumin fish go hand in hand in top 3 favorites ! It's so hard to rank because all dishes were great and top tier quality. Service was decent, food came out fast, everything tasted super fresh and had soooo much flavor. I just would've loved more spice, but we added chili oil which helped a lot and was good quality oil.

They have an iPad with picture of every dish which is really helpful to better understand what you are ordering, especially if you want to try something different. The chili oil put on the table was HOT! Most spicy chili oil I've had at any restaurant on convoy I loved it. Prices are fair because the portions are BIG. Two people can easily share one dish, keep that in mind because we ordered too much food. The dumplings were really big too. We ordered: Kung pao shrimp (fried and sweet sauce) Mapo tofu Pork and chive dumpling Dry green bean Scallion pancake Rice for two We were extremely full and had leftovers for another meal for us both. Service was completely fine. Food was not any more oily than I have had at other places I've eaten at. I've eaten at many, many restaurants on convoy and I would come back.

They have a super easy online ordering system right at the table which makes things convenient. We ordered the spicy lamb biang biang noodles and the non-spicy beef pulled noodles, and both had the perfect chew and incredible flavor. We also ordered the garlic green beans, but they came out so late that we were already completely full from the noodles, so we took them to go. Thank god we did, because they turned out to be pretty salty on their own and really needed to be paired with white rice at home. Overall, an amazing spot for authentic noodles! Absolutely love this place and will be back.

Beef noodle soup - excellent flavor overall, including a strong broth and a nice, soft texture to the noodles. Out of the countless Chinese restaurants I've visited for beef noodle soup, this makes its way into the top three. 5/5 Lamb skewers - wayyyyy too dry. This is certainly not their specialty, and asking for extra cumin to sprinkle on the lamb did not redeem the firmness. I struggled to slide the meat off the skewer and ended up just eating it while still on the stick. 1.5/5 Fish fillet - so good. Easy to eat texture-wise. Caution -- a bit saltier than it looks. The bell peppers in particular were seasoned spectacularly. 4.5/5 Dry fried green beans - a delicious option for vegetables to add to the table. Most people will enjoy this one in my opinion. A bit more crunch than I expected, which is not a bad thing. 4/5 Double cooked pork - I've never seen it cooked this way, and am not a fan. I'm used to a more oily version of this dish. It contained a bunch of dried and crunchy... yams? Potatoes? Overall, the dish was mainly crunch with no flavor, and contained a relatively small amount of pork. 1/5

We got a half and half pot: Medium Spicy + Bone Broth. TBH the medium spicy side is too spicy for me. Mainly the oiliness that gets to me. The Bone Broth is the way to go. We ordered the Boneless Duck Feet (must have~ my friend introduced it to me once and now im hooked!), White Tripe (yum), veggie combo, beef, lamb, mushrooms, noodles, fish balls, honestly i can't rmbr what else but there was a boat load of meat. I love this place for their sauce/snack bar (yes you do have to pay extra) but its worth it imo. They have the crunchy sesame red bean balls and they are always so crispy and fresh! I also love their coconut jelly, it is so addicting and such a refreshing way to cool down after all the hot pot. I also like having a few of their haw crackers/jellies as an appetizer/dessert. Meat tasted fresh, and broth was so tasty to drink on its own. this parking lot really sucks and is a major deterrent buttt that doesn't stop us from eating good food. We parked like 2 streets away and it was well worth it.

Not sure if I just got lucky because parking on Convoy can usually be troublesome for how popular it is, but perhaps we just came on a lucky day. Customer Service: 5/5 Lovely staff. I arrived before our party of 7 and they were able to accommodate us by offering two table options. Thoughtful and friendly people work here. Hotpot: What a selection! I loved the mushroom broth, the assortment of fresh veggies from bok choy, romaine lettuce, lots of mushrooms options - my favorite is the enoki, and I loved the tofu skin. Beef lovers and seafood fans will enjoy this place as well. One of my fave items we ordered is a shrimp paste dish for our hotpot. That was delicious. I also love how they have a sauce bar. Snack Bar: I frequented the snack bar. The coconut jelly and coconut crackers is my favorite. They have a lot of snacks to pick from and it's complimentary! Ambiance: This place is gorgeous. Lots of interesting architectural decor. I had a great time capturing photos of the restaurant while I waited for my party to arrive. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this place.

Since we moved out here to California its been hard to find a place that matches the quality u til we stopped by here. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and told we could sit wherever we'd like. Our server was David and he was so kind and attentive. The food portion was enough to eat there and bring some home which was great. My dad was in love with the egg rolls because they were soo crunchy, he only wished they were bigger. The food was quick to come out and easy to leave us stuffed. My mom loved their tea and my dad tried the Tsingtao beer. Honestly, one thing that left me surprised was that place isnt busier

Okay, let's be clear, this is an old school, love it for what it is American Chinese Restaurant,…read morebut heavy on the Chinese and light on the American. Reenact your favorite scene this winter with some Christmas Duck at Szechuan House! This family run eatery is critically underrated, and in my humble opinion that's a function of the many of the clientele simply don't leave reviews, or if they do, it's because they're unhappy. What I hope I can do is highlight the positive of this fantastic, but very humble establishment. The dining room is large, like X-Large. If you are looking for a big venue, this can easily be booked and with the rotating table tops, you can get all your greats eats to everyone in style. The booths are large, spacious and massive table to spread out what you'll see is an enormous lunch special in the photos. Most items outside the lunch special are traditional family style, but even the lunch portion is so large that we usually eat about half and then take the rest home. Absolutely a great value. The food is always ridiculously hot, and the service by the family/staff fantastic. They're always attentive and helpful as your order from a menu that can breach American style Chinese to some pretty near authentic dishes. Once the family gets to know you, the spicier options open up like an Asian In-N-Out secret menu. If you like Salt-n-pepper wings, in my view, these are best in San Diego. Tons of flavor, heat, but be careful, they are beyond hot at arrival, which we love. Now....some things may surprise you....I've never been a fan of sweet and sour...well...anything. My mind was blown when I was talked in to trying the sweet and sour FISH. Holy smokes! It is now a family favorite, along with the moo shu pork aka Chinese burritos. I'm not sure what sauce they use, but it may be illegal. Treat yourself to a great lunch, family outing or company / group event. Parking is always easy, and we've never had to hunt for a spot. There's also some great options for some post lunch tea nearby! Don't be put off by the exterior, THIS IS a fantastic place to grab a BIG lunch!

We weren't given any paper menus and were told to place our orders directly from the QR code. While the system was efficient, it wasn't as convenient for everyone at the table. Payment was done only at the front cashier. The dumplings were definitely made to order, and they took quite some time to come out. However, the one fried dish we ordered came out almost immediately. Each table had soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil. We had ordered soup dumplings and I wish we were also given spoons. *Honey Walnut Shrimp: came on a bed of steamed broccoli. The shrimp were humongous, and the batter was just as large. The shrimp had good bounciness, but the batter was so thick it was difficult to taste the sauce. The sauce also wasn't evenly distributed, so some bites were just fried shrimp. I wouldn't get this again as the shrimp was overwhelmed by the batter and the walnuts were sparse. *Pork And Cabbage Dumplings: we got them fried for $1 more. These had juicy filling and each dumpling had a stellar crust. The wrapper could have been a tad thinner, but these were still filling and flavorful. *Xiao Long Bao: we ordered two kinds, regular pork and crab. The pork was superior in both flavor and soup. The crab dumplings were unfortunately drier, and there wasn't much seafood flavor. However, I was satisfied with the thickness of the dumpling skin. *Szcheuan Spicy Wontons: these had a more subtle numbing spice than other renditions, with more oil. The skin was the thinnest of all the dishes, and my entire party complimented it. The pork filling was dense and chewy. Overall, the dumplings were decent and affordable. The cost of the dumplings easily fed my entire party, and especially in comparison to the rising costs of Chinese dishes, it was refreshing to see hefty portions and solid flavors. I would opt for takeout next time, as the dine-in experience is minimalistic.
