3.5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the price. Chens Kitchen just opened not too long ago located at the plaza where Walmart, Krispy Kreme, Chipolte, WAWA gas is located. So yes you have options just in case. We were hungry after some Christmas shopping at Walmart and walked over to Chens. Chens Kitchen is a small Chinese restaurant. Better for take-out but since they are freshly open, the store is nice, modern, cute and has blackboard like wall with writing on it that can entertain you as you wait for your food. They only have 5 tables; 3 inside and 2 al fresco. You order at their counter and then wait for your meal. Prices are good. Meals range from $6 to $17 more or less. Very affordable for a plastic white to-go container full of food. I went for lunch and took advantage of their lunch specials; $6.95. Jalapeno Chicken - thin chicken strips with different peppers and few jalapenos. On the menu it says spicy but it was far from it and so I was disappointed because I like spicy. Comes with pork fried rice that was ehh OK and an egg roll that was good. The overall flavor is good, it just needed the jalapeno kick that I was expecting. This meal should be called chicken and peppers. Chicken Lo Mein - Basic Chicken lo mein; chicken and noodles with veggies, pork fried rice; again ehh ok and an egg roll. They need a bigger variety for drinks. They have a refrigerator that you can open and grab a drink but the options are few. They only have some basic sodas, water and ice tea. They should carry more variety and having some Chinese sodas, drinks or products would kick Chens Kitchen up a notch. Service was fine, nothing out of the ball park, they are new and they looked busy trying to get the flow of things. I will try again because it was decent and the price was good for a quick nothing fancy lunch.

The cashier never looked up from his phone and shoved my CC receipt at me one handed while he played games on his phone

Food: Greasy Service:Poor Cleanliness Alright Price: Pricey for quality I walked in and the guy working the counter didn't look up from the game he was playing on his phone. He glanced up and I asked to place an order. He asked if I was picking up sesame chicken. I said no I wanted to place an order. He looked annoyed and barely put his phone down. His earbuds were in and he kept saying,"what?!" while I tried to order. He even picked up his phone while I was mid order to continue whatever raid game he was playing. I asked for two combo dinners and when he repeated back the order he said white rice right? And I said no I said fried rice, again he looked annoyed. He then told me the price and to drop my card in the box. He went back to playing his game one handed and literally didn't look at me again. He shoved the report paper at me. When I signed and placed back in box he didn't look up. He didn't give me a time to wait he just proceeded to the corner while chatting on his earbuds and playing his game. When my food was up he pushed through the box barrier and finally looked up to say, "everything good?" I grabbed my food and left. When I got home the general taos was not xspicy as I had asked, it was actually not spicy at all. The chicken quality was rubbery. My wings tasted as if they had been fried in old oil and they looked grayish rather than a nice red brown like I had in the past at other chinese takeout spots. The rice was okay. The best part was the wonton soup. Overall a disappointing experience and I will not be returning.

Shares busy, chaotic Super Walmart parking lot. Small inside seating area, table also outside on sidewalk. Quickly greeted and order taken. Order was ready after brief wait. Lemon pepper chicken wings were good, well seasoned & crispy. Brown rice with combo meal was so-so, undercooked. Beautiful bold wall murals.

It's new it's clean and definitely ahead of many take outs. The menus are on HD monitors rather than the usual menu style. The wall is dressed in artwork. I ordered General Tso dinner with pork fried rice and egg roll. The chicken was perfectly crispy and sauced well. It's not spicy at all and not too sweet. The fried rice was nearly perfect but needed a little more flavor from the oil. The rice had onion and sprouts which not many places use sprouts. My least favorite was the egg roll. It was something about it that I just really didn't care for. I would definitely eat here again especially if I'm waiting for a few hours at Walmart for my car to be ready.

I came here for the first time today I got the honey garlic chicken meal The chicken was fried good and they put the sauce on the side which I like so the chicken won't get soggy The pork fried rice they could've kept it .. I'll give it a -1 star I also got the crab Rangoon which is the reason for 2 of the three stars it's a little more than what I usual pay but it's the best thing I've order Overall will I come back I doubt it (probably for the Rangoon) Would I recommend a friend I doubt it

Really good Chinese food, wings can get a little soggy if not asked to fry them hard. Great prices. Clean environment.

Its happy hour was the most inviting from all the restaurants within walking distance from where i was staying, so I stopped in alone early evening on a Friday night. It was a great experience. It's a really large indoor dining area, so even though it was fairly busy inside, was able to be seated immediately. They do have outdoor dining as well, but not sure how usable it is during this time when the mosquitos are so bad. All the folks I interacted with were elegantly friendly, with my server being attentive (keeping my tap water constantly full), even though I was only a party of one and chose not to drink. I was here only to sample (since I still needed to bring back food for the rest of my party), so chose two things off of the small Happy Hour menu: 6 HH Oysters (3 Eastern and 3 Pacific for $18) and Karaage Chicken ($14). The food came out fast, and both were excellent (though I wish the chicken had some more interesting sauces than just the bbq sauce and mayo). I was in/out in less than 20 minutes. One interesting thing was that the on-site manager interacted with me twice: once to make sure I was being helped while waiting to be taken to my table, and once I was leaving to make sure everything turned out well. For me, these sort of interactions really does make the difference between a good restaurant experience and a great one. The payment processor is Toast and the transaction happened tableside.

These water front areas have been quick to turnover on Las Olas, but hopefully Ukiah can stay! They are doing an all day HH on Mondays but the happy hour menu had very limited bites. There were only four items for the happy hour food, which as a pescatarian meant I could only get the edamame and shishito peppers (both small portions but delicious). The salmon crispy rice was absolutely to die for- I would recommend it 100 times over! For my meal I had the red snapper skewers which were great, but the portion was a bit small for the price (especially considering it does not come with any sides). Our server was a bit strange. Wish the portions were larger but would absolutely return!

They put a bowl of hot crispy wonton strips with the best dick sauce to dip them in. Those were a meal on their own! We ended up ordering hot and sour soup, the highly praised pork ribs and a beef and vegetable dish with white rice. The soup was delicious - well balanced. The ribs were AMAZING! They lived up to all the hype- tender, full of flavor and loved chewing the bone. The beef dish was ok. Nothing special, but the weirdest thing was that it came with only about a half cut of rice. Not enough for the beef dish at all. It looked like it had been packed in a tea cup and turned over. We will definitely come back to try more things!!

Entered the shop and met with the chatty owner Hector who gave us a quick rundown of a few of his nineteen unique eggroll creations but ordered his number one choice, the Philly CheeseSteak Eggroll with a plentiful side of parmesan french fries. As we waited for a mere ten minutes, the open kitchen concept was inviting and super clean. Hector was not only the owner, he was the eggroll chef too. Watch him in awe as he diligently prepared our highly anticipated lunch. The eggroll was sliced in half with thinly cut steak filling the lower portion covered sparingly by melted cheese with an optional peppers and onions topper. The shell of the egg roll was crazy crispy with light oil glistening my fingers. Every bite provided a nice crunch which complemented the tender steak and gooey cheese. In between bites, I could not stop gobbling up the moist parmesan fries, which basically could have been the dessert. An Uber Eats driver was picking up a chicken flamin' cheetos eggroll which looked intriguing and will definitely be on my radar on the next trip here. The bathroom was spotless and displayed light brown hardwood flooring and white walls which flowed through the rest of the eatery. This place was a strong five star rating and recommend it seriously to any foodie who wants a try something a little different.
