I went to this Hunan Wok location for the first time and was I impressed. I had egg foo yung special with fried rice and egg roll. Super fresh ingredients, loaded with chicken, shrimp and onions with a great gravy sauce. Extremely tasty, large portions - as I had for both dinner and lunch. Chinese food is something I get a taste for once in a while. Whenever I'm in the Dania Beach area I would visit this Hunan Wok location for a quick bite. I especially like their wonton soup. This restaurant serves fried wonton noodles with the soup which l like to add for the crunch. Whatever I decide to order from Hunan Wok is prepared fast and is not greasy nor salty. I usually call my order in before I arrive, so it's nice and hot when I get there. Always delighted with my food packaging and the amount they give me. It seems to always be enough for two plates. This time was a regular bourbon chicken that comes with white rice, I added the chicken lo mien. I always get the combination bourbon chicken, fried rice that comes with an egg roll. There fried chicken wings are very good to me, but you gotta get them well done. They always close up the bag and suffocate the wings in the heat. But they still bussing! First time I visited this Chinese restaurant for lunch the food was decent. The restaurant is not big inside and is a take out spot. I called my food ahead of time and it was ready when I arrived. The guy at the counter told me they do not accept American Express cards. I had to go back to the car and get another form of payment. I re visited this restaurant for lunch again, but this time I found hair in my food. I was in disgust. Of course, I had to throw away my entire meal. I ordered the pork fried rice and chicken wings. For take out this place is great. They are quick for pick ups and are very kind to everyone. The Chinese food is honestly take out one I've found quality wise. The hot & sour soup (vegetarian) was spicy and so loaded with veggies & tofu it was a meal. The chicken low melon was so delicious, enough chicken to fill us up. Hunan Wok is my go to when I am hungover or in need of a great Chinese food meal. The portions here are massive and big enough for 2 people or 2 meals. I usually get the sesame chicken and it is so good, tons of flavor. It's very greasy but when I come here I'm usually not worried about the calories. The place is very small and mainly meant for take out, it's a hole in the wall type spot but it always hits the spot. As long as you know that you aren't getting a 5 star restaurant but going in knowing you're going to get an oily meal packed to the brim you will leave happy. read more

Neither had many Chinese vegetables. It they had I would have rated them at least as 4 if not a 5. Great food. Always fresh. Fast service, I recommend ordering directly through the business. They are very accommodating. Good portion sizes, the cream cheese fried wontons are my favorite! My daughter doesn't eat meat so we order the sauteed broccoli with extra sauce (no additional charge), the orange chicken is my go to and they always get the spice level the way I like it. Their veggies are cooked perfectly, especially the peppers and onions. The chicken fried rice is bomb, even better the next day. I also get the chicken lo mein and ask for it spicy, fantastic! The atmosphere is friendly, you are greeted right way and you can see the cooks working hard in the kitchen. I've been ordering take out from here for two years and it's my go to. This is really my new favorite Chinese food takeout place. They are organized and computerized. I asked the how long it would take for delivery and they told me an hour which was fine with me. I could hear that they were really busy. Our food was delivered a lot sooner than the time quoted. I ordered the egg drop wonton soup along with a hot and sour soup. Both of these soups were really delicious. The ingredients and consistency were right on target. I also ordered their chicken with mixed vegetables in a white sauce (special request). It really hit the spot for me. This dish had a generous amount of sliced white chicken with a good variety of vegetables that I personally like. Yes, we were served with paper plates and bowls, but I rather liked the simplicity. They also speak Mandarin Chinese here! The food is not exactly the legit Chinese food I'm used to from California. It's more of a Americanized Chinese food restaurant, but I still really enjoyed it nonetheless. Great comfort food. Favorite was the Lo Mein- highly recommend that as your noodle dish! For Chinese take out this place is the best! I always order something with shrimp as all of the shrimp entrees come with plenty of nice big plump shrimp... I hate places that make an entree using tiny shrimp!!! Also the entree items come with a pint of rice so I order 2 entrees so I get a quart of rice then I go home & make my own fried rice by adding egg, green onion any leftover shrimp/chicken/beef/pork from my freezer and soy sauce :) just saying it's very easy to do and their rice is always perfect & I love it but just trying to save some $$.
