Had driven past this spot on my way to work for a long time but tried it for the first time recently - I've been missing out! In my opinion, very "American Chinese food" vibes, which, if that's what you're looking for, it's one of the better ones I've had. Good selection, familiar almost nostalgic feeling. Large portions! Best part though, the service, wow!! Super attentive, kind, helpful staff, answering questions and providing recommendations, and really engaged in making you feel welcome. Really appreciated the energy and atmosphere here.

5/5 $19.00 Pork Egg Foo Young was extremely fresh. Very enjoyable.

Nice decent clean Chinese restaurant with an open kitchen serving up so old American Chinese dishes. 5/5 $19.00 Lunch Pork Egg Foo Young was really freshly made, thoroughly enjoyed it. 4/5 $15.00 Stir fried string beans was good, fresh as well. Service was just ok...not looking for Michelin service, but waitress was just blahhhhhh. Didn't see as if she loved her job. Unfortunately.

Deceiving from the outside, full house on the inside. A packed house is always a good sign after hearing mixed reviews. Decided to try somewhere new tonight and glad we stopped by! They were a steady busy for a Sunday evening and everyone looked very pleased. We decided to get some of our favorite appetizers; crab rangoon, spring rolls, and steamed dumplings to start. All were pretty good and hot off the kitchen. We finished it off with Singapore noodles, pork fried rice, and good old-fashioned, chicken and broccoli. All of our meals were pretty good and to answer my famous question... would you order it again and we all said yes Suggestion to mgmt- for dinner hours to have a table busser and/or a person who does water service and small odd jobs. There were only 2 servers. There was a solid 10-12 tables with 2 or more people the whole time and the kitchen was dinging away with food turnaround. I also rated 4 stars because we had some fruit flys around us and on the walls/pictures.

My friend and I came for lunch. The Pork Egg Foo Young was good. I liked the Pork Fried Rice because it wasn't too heavy. The gravy on the Pork Egg Foo Young was tasty and different. Usually, the gravy is darker. My friend had the Moo Goo Guy Pan and she thought hers wasn't like the traditional dish because the gravy was darker. Usually it is opaque. The service was fast and friendly. He delivered a decent pour of white wine. I plan on going back for dinner.

A good lunch stop at this new location with a bright welcoming interior. I chose the Hot and Sour Soup which was very flavorful and just the right amount of heat. I was in the mood for some nostalgic Chicken Chow Mein with plenty of chicken and lots of veggies. With the addition of some hot oil and duck sauce it was very good. Now that we know where to find them and that the prices for lunch are desirable we will return when in the area again.

I knew after these starters the meal was going to be exceptionally delicious. I had the orange beef and my wife had the snapper. We accompanied our entrees with the chef special fried rice which was a perfect addition. We finished our dinner with the key lime pie and took home dinner for tomorrow. I didn't mention the Mai Tai and the lichee Martini which were made perfectly. Earnest is a great server who is professional all the way throughout the dining experience. We will return to this not inexpensive establishment but worth the money. Chinese food in Fort Lauderdale is limited and this is steps ahead of Christine Wong. Needless to say the restaurant is beautiful and very comfortable which enhances the dining atmosphere.

Overall, the food was satisfactory, but nothing extraordinary. We ordered a variety of entrées to share, and the waiter portioned out our plates. I asked the server how long they have been open and he said 8 months but I see Yelp pics and reviews dating back at least 3 years. Someone must have told him the wrong information but no matter, we are just glad we finally found it. We went with the classic Shoyu Ramen with nishu beef and black garlic. I was over the moon when they touted a 12 hour chicken broth soup base. Every ramen shop I have tried to get ramen from has a pork based broth which I do not eat. I'm finally able to have ramen and boy it did not disappoint. The noodles were perfectly al dente and had a satisfying chew with every bite. The broth was so flavorful with the bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and all the slow cooked fats and oil from the chicken broth and the nishu beef, which was tender, thinly sliced rib-eye meat, I suspect. All this topped off with a perfectly cooked soy marinated egg. What an amazing flavor combination. The takoyaki appetizer was also delicious. Biting into the crispy exterior, you are then met with a soft and tender interior filled with chunks of octopus. The balls sat atop Japanese mayo and was drizzled with delicious takoyaki sauce. All it was missing was the katsuobushi which would have elevated the takoyaki flavor. We also ordered the Mala Shrimp which was on the Chinese menu and did not come with rice. That had to be ordered separately. Food came out quick as we were the only patrons apart from another table outside and service was good until a large party sauntered in and the server became inundated with requests. All in all, we will definitely be back to try out other menu items.

It's in a different type of location -- a very small strip of businesses with only a few spots in front -- in the middle of a residential location. We were driving by between lunch and dinner and decided to stop to bring some food home for a later meal. When we stopped by, we got to meet the owners and chef. They were both very welcoming and friendly. He told us about some special meals and made suggestions. He was preparing some blue crabs for his own lunch, and they looked wonderful. You can get some special meals here, off menu, if you preorder. We went with a couple of our usual choices so we could see how they compared. We ordered some pork with Chinese vegetables and an order of Singapore rice noodles. Plus, for me an order of egg roll. The rice noodles were such a large portion that it filled two containers. And we wound up eating several meals from our take home food. The eggroll was very good. I ate one right away! There were two to the order. It had a different crispy wrapper -- it seemed house made. And it was filled with larger bits of meat. I really liked it. There was a lot of large flat pork slices in with the vegetables. In a brown sauce, there was broccoli, bok choy, pea pods, etc. It came with a side container of white rice. The rice noodles were fragrant with curry, but it only had a slight kick (as in not too spicy). There were lots of shrimp, chicken, and pork strips mixed in with the thin noodles. This dish was addictive. We are so glad we stopped to try them. Really one of the better Chinese places we've tried and certainly one of the better take-out places. Wish they were closer, or we'd be there more often.

Delicious and so kind. I got the chicken and broccoli dinner combo. Will definitely be back!read more
