Delicious! I'm rarely out this way, but I will 100% go back. The papusas are so delicious and the sides and condiments are top notch. Counter service and try bring your food to your table with sauces, they were busy when I went but the article was still quick. Absolutely recommend.

Not a pupusa expert by any means but these were absolutely perfect. So warm and fresh, tasted of corn and delicious beans and cheese. The staff was so helpful and friendly as it was our first time there and the place itself was very big, clean, bright and friendly! The portion sizes were huge, I only ordered two and I ate one and a half! Super delicious and filling if you're looking for a spot, this is the place!

This place is amazing! The food had so much flavor and service was great. The vibes were really chill too. Overall 5/5 stars.

Such a fun spot, especially after volleyball! This place is right next to the sand courts, which makes it super convenient and fun for hanging out after playing! I was in a volleyball league and came here with friends afterward. I had a blast. The food was great! I had the shrimp pupusa, and it was delicious. Flavorful and really satisfying. I also ordered a mango juice, but I didn't realize until I got home that I never got it. So sad! :( I guess I was having too much fun to notice. Service was pretty standard. Not amazing, but not terrible either. I just didn't get my mango juice

Came here to eat wif da fam. We ordered and saw everyone before us get their food for an hour. Then when they gave us our first plate they gave us the wrong thing.

Chepe's has the best pupusas in town! I recommend the pork and cheese pupusa. So yummy! I tried their tacos and would probably not get them again, the meat was a little dry. Chepe's definitely shines when it comes to their specialty dishes. We also tried the wet carne asada burrito and since the same meat was used from the tacos, the experience was the same. The meat is a little dry. I would come here if you're looking to explore Salvadoran food! Grab your tacos and burritos elsewhere. Service was good & the food came out hot. They bring you condiments & napkins in a little tray as pictured in my photo. Overall, a great place. I will be back to try more Salvadoran dishes!!

The price goes up. I cannot find good pupusa in WA. I had to come to chepes when I visited Portland. Pupusa is bigger. I just ate one. It was good and tasted the same.

Jalapeño pupusa, plantains, crema and a pork tamale #3 Combination
    William H.

Found this place on an Instagram recommendation. There was a large selection of pupusas all priced at $5 as promised. Then there were a number of combos and dishes that rounded off a very good menu. Service was polite and timely. The food was very good. What was interesting was a pickled coleslaw that had the most unique flavor that really complemented all of the dishes. This place is worth the drive and worth the price to visit

I checked this place out with a friend who lives in the area and had been before. It was a little hard to tell which door to use, but we soon found our way in and to the ordering area. The menu was large, and since I am not too familiar with Salvadorian cuisine, I ordered almost the same thing my friend chose, with only minor differences. A combo platter seemed like a good thing to get to try a lot of things. I ordered the Combination Platter # 3, which came with a pupusa, a Salvadoran tamale, refried beans, plantains, and sour cream. For the pupusa and tamale you had many choices, and I went with a cheese and jalapeno pupusa and a chicken tamale. We both ordered the Horchata de Morro. Our drinks came quickly and were soon followed by our food. The service was friendly and relaxed. Along with our meal was a bowl filled with curtido, which was a delicious fermented cabbage slaw with oregano. Everything was amazingly yummy! The pupusa was crispy and stuffed with melted cheese and jalapenos. Easily the best pupusa I've ever had! (Which, admittedly, hasn't been a lot) The tamale was rich and pleasantly filled with chicken and corn goodness. I think there also were potatoes in it, but I'm not sure. It was some starchy vegetable and it actually went quite well with everything else! The beans were excellent, as were the plantains (subtly sweet and savory) and the crema was perfect with the plantains. The horchata was served over ice and was smoothly sweet and replete with nuttiness and spices! Perfect on a warm day like this one. I can't wait to come here again and bring more friends to experience this excellent example of Salvadorian food!

I had been craving pupusas, and the moment I saw they had a good variety to choose from, I knew he made the right choice. I ordered the pork with rice and beans pupusa and the chicken with beans pupusa, and both absolutely hit the spot. They were filling, flavorful, and comforting in the way only good, handmade pupusas can be. The curtido and sauce tied everything together perfectly. Honestly, I could've just stuck with the pupusas and been completely satisfied. But I was really craving plátanos, so I also ordered a side of plátanos with beans and crema ..and wow. That combination was next level. The sweetness of the plantains with the savory beans and creamy crema was so good that I've decided from now on, that's the only way I want to eat them. The whole meal kept me full and happy for hours. One thing to note: you do bus your own table here, which I personally don't mind at all! just something to be aware of when you visit. After I finished eating, I took a walk down Mississippi Avenue, which made the whole outing even better. It's such a charming stretch -- little boutique shops, a cute pet store, a piercing shop further down the street, and plenty of restaurants and dessert spots if you want to keep the day going. Comforting Salvadorian flavors, this spot is definitely worth stopping by.
