Solid authentic taco spot. I stop here whenever I am in the area. The price is right, especially Monday to Thursday when they have their $1.50 taco deal on pastor, pollo, or carne tacos. They come with onions and cilantro (if you want), delicious taco sauce (red & green), and escabeche (pickled veggies). Service is quick and friendly and tables always look clean and inviting. It's a family spot, and I love seeing families eating together here. Quit overpaying for tacos elsewhere and come get the good stuff here! read more

I've been here twice, once before the pandemic and the second time a couple days ago. I recall really liking it the first time, so I wanted to take my friend. It seems like they've remodeled the place and it looks very nice! We came on Taco Tuesday around 6pm to one party ahead of us in line. No one was dining in. We ordered chips, guac and of course, tacos (carne asada, carnitas, pastor, birria and chorizo). I don't recall which but only certain tacos were $1/ea. Comparing the two visits, they definitely cut the portion size of guac by more than half and the condiment bar is no longer in use. We asked for sauce and they gave us two bottles (green and red). The chips are good, they came out warm so you know it's fresh and there is some type of seasoning sprinkled on them. We liked all of the tacos except for the chorizo. The chorizo was chalky and did not taste good at all, we had to drown it in sauce for it to even be edible. The guacamole was good but not sure if worth the small portion size. I would definitely not get the chorizo again. Without the condiment bar, the tacos taste like they're missing something. I would come back, and ask if condiments are available next time! read more

Nope. Of all my reviews, I've rated Mexican and breakfast places the most. This is Mexican-owned and prices are not foo-foo Inner Portland, but that's where the positives end. Both the Huevos Rancheros and bacon breakfast burrito were subpar from the many, many I've tried. Tortillas seemed right out of the Cash and Carry bulk pack. The rice was awful. Sauces are limited to boring underwhelming Green and Red. Nice lady working the counter. read more

I have been coming here since 2010. I love this place. I will stop in, if I'm in the area as much as I can. It's my favorite place to get Mexican food. Everything that I had gotten off the menu has been great which has almost been the entire menu. The red and green sauce great too! Everyone I have taken here loves this place too and goes back again. Mind blown that such a good taco place was so close to me the entire time. Just came by to grab a snack and ended up getting hooked on their tripe tacos. They really hook it up with the fresh sides and amazing chili oil. Place seemed clean and well managed too. Love the casual and quick atmosphere. I understand if you're in a bad mood working but don't take it out on your customers, I came in with my family of 4. We were happy and ready to dine in until we had to order. The Mexican lady upfront that took our order had the rudest attitude, didn't greet, asked what to drink, and her eye roll.... well we sat and waited for our food, after a while they came out and instead of doing what ALL the rest of the restaurants do which is call out the food to hand it to the correct person, she instead says " who's tacos " no specifying what kind of meat when multiple of us got tacos, when I replied with " what kind we all got some tacos" her rude reply was" well the cheesy ones obviously". I was stunned. Well after she didn't offer hot sauces or condiments, which they didn't have set up anywhere, their usual spot of condiments had been empty. Overall I don't recommend eating or dinning at this place, you can come in happy and in a good mood but don't expect to walk out the same. It's not to say the food wasn't great but the service, it's mediocre, an establishment like this puts a bad rap on Mexican cuisine, especially Taqueria El cazador p.s they do this to all there incoming customer, I paid attention to it while we dinned there with my family. read more

Such delicious authentic Mexican food breakfast burritos are packed full with eggs, meat, and bacon. But their carnitas burritos are so big, juicy, delicious, and mouth watering. SE Foster and 101st location now open inside for dining. Yea! Prices are up a bit, but not ridiculous increases like some other places. Location on 82nd is open, but that is a Food Cart. Good "eats" with super nice folks who know their job and make sure all is communicated. No, "this is my 1st day with no training" employees taking your order. Notice those types always remember to ask for a tip, though. Pre-tipping!! Your money's on the dresser, honey. Dishes can be made mild or spicy. Mild still has a little kick. Shrimp is always cooked perfectly. Asada is just average. The guacamole salsa is pretty darn good and house made (not that store bought jar crap). The tortillas taste store bought, though. Not a deal breaker. Just wishful thinking. It is so nice to have a full lunch or dinner with a salad and sit inside and have a relaxing hot meal, again. I want to start this off with saying, I transplanted from Washington almost a year ago. I've worked for companies that send me all over the greater Portland area since then, and haven't found many good places to get a taco........Until now. I wish I lived closer because the food tasted amazing, the guacamole in a squeeze bottle is a great idea, and their hot sauces have a good amount of spice, and flavor. I will for sure stopping by again when I'm in the area. Also the parking was easy, even with the lot full, there's a side street. Prices were fair, and seemed to run along the sales lines as all the other places that weren't as good. Very impressed, fat and happy! read more
