This is the most amazing place to take your child for a dentist visit.... From the waiting room that is very inviting, to the movies that are playing on the ceiling ( yes the ceiling) for the kids to watch while getting their cleanings, to the entire staff. Mandy, ( who is pregnant and still is as delightful as they come... RARE..lol) was a very helpful and polite, and the whole experience was awesome. The real star of the whole experience was Dr. Miles Mizawi. He has the most amazing knack for not only being gentle with the kids, but constantly singing a song to my daughter while he worked on her teeth, him and his assistants were FANTASTIC. After going here for my 2 year old's dentist visit I WOULD NOT CONSIDER GOING ANYWHERE ELSE FOR HER. They were not only great with her, but also super informative with me about the needs and cares for my daughter, and were very supportive in letting me know that I was doing the right thing for her. As a single dad, you are usually treated much differently than the traditional family... This was NOT the case here. I would highly recommend them to ANYONE for their children. An absolutely awesome experience. MY ONE COMPLAINT ..... That they don't do adults there... LOL... I would go to the dentist more often if they did, it is a shame I can't be a kid again. Thank you so much to Miles, Mandy, and the rest of the friendly staff their that made me feel so welcome, and did everything they could to put a 2 yr old at ease on what could be a potentially scary thing to a child at that age. I don't normally write reviews but have felt led to do so after so many AMAZING experiences here with Drs Miles, Drew, Proctor and staff. My girls have been coming here since their 1st tooth appeared and we have been nothing but pleased with their kindness and love for our family. The staff always goes over treatment plans throughly so I know and understand not only the necessity of the work that needs to be done with my children's teeth but my financial responsibility after they have worked with my insurance company tirelessly. I have never felt hassled or pressured to have work done here on my girls! From cavity fillings to extractions and even sedations we have always had the utmost confidence in these doctors. I honestly don't think there are any better! We are always excited to see our dentist every 6 months and I hope others that are thinking of coming here will too. I was referred to Dr. Miles after my son had a TRAUMATIC experience with another dentistry office. My concerns, along with my mother's, ran so deeply that we paid out of pocket for the services and treatment rendered. Dr. Miles, in an easy,experienced method was attentive to our concerns, involved with the entire process, but most importantly- made my young son feel safe, secure, and unafraid of the lengthy procedure ahead.The staff was friendly. Outstanding pediatric practice! Dr. Drew and Dr. Miles are fantastic with the children and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. My children have been patients for the past five years and we have experienced nothing but the best. They have everything from a play area, toys, movies and video games and that is just in the lobby! My children's favorite part of the visit is picking out a video to watch during their exam. Dr. Drew and Dr. Miles are absolute experts in the field. They engage with the children from beginning to end making the kids feel comfortable and at home. The dentists always sit down with the parents to review any areas of concern before leaving and to top it off, send the kids home with a goody bag or a prize. We had a very good experience with Cherokee Children's Dentistry recently. The Mazzawi's correctly identified a significant ongoing issue with one of my daughter's upper molars and corrected the problem with an affordable stainless steel crown. Every step of the treatment plan was explained to us clearly. I had a million questions, as I usually do with everything, and the Mazzawi's were patient and clear with their explanations. They took the time to show me the x-rays and photos of the tooth and relevant parts of the restoration process. My daughter is relieved and happy to be out of pain, and I am pleased that what could have eventually become a major dental issue has been resolved successfully. I plan to continue bringing my children to the Mazzawi's dental practice and recommend them to others. read more

We came to Cherokee Children's Dentistry over a year ago when we moved here to GA. Our son had experienced severe trauma to the mouth in IL, and our experiences with IL dentists were less than stellar. We were told to keep an eye out for delayed trauma. One of the first dentists we saw when we moved here revommended complex surgery. Cherokee was our second opinion and we are soo glad and blessed to have found them. They told us what to watch for in case trauma did occur and took a more conservative approach. This turned out to be very wise, and when our son did develop an abscess, we knew what to do and what to expect from their wisdom. We were very satisfied with the treatment and the cost. Most importantly, my son doesn't fear coming here and has felt very comfortable and cared for. :) read more

The folks at Cherokee Children's Dentistry are fantastic, from the office staff through to the dentists. They truly love children and are kind, patient and professional. The environment is fantastic with a tree house, Xbox, TV (PG movies only) and other toys in the waiting area, my kids actually enjoy going to the dentist! The equipment is child-sized, and each chair has a TV above it to distract the kids while the dentists work. Each visit is concluded with a face-to-face consultation between the dentist and the parent. I have always been allowed plenty of time to discuss my questions / concerns and have never felt hurried. I truly do love this practice and couldn't imagine using anyone else to take care of my children's teeth. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. read more

AMAZING! Absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Have taken both of my kids to Dr. Mazzawi and Dr. Drew for years and they have always been terrific with both of them. They're very patient and fun at the same time. Anytime we had problems with anxiety both doctors handled it beautifully. The entire staff is wonderful, a pleasure to work with in any situation. We've always been made to feel welcomed and cared for by everyone at Cherokee Children's Dentistry. Also, the entire office is decorated in a very fun way that is appealing to boys and girls and extremely detailed. Excellent Dentist.....Excellent Staff!! I have been taking my daughter to this dentist from the very beginning. They have always been very informative and kind to me and my daughter. My insurance covers most of if not all of my visits so no problems with billing. I'm not sure how their rates compare to other places but because my daughter isn't afraid of the dentist and it seems the other children in the waiting room aren't either.....whatever they charge is completely worth it!!!!!!! And for the staff and the Doctors to have a smile on their faces and a great attitude.....even at the end of a long day....I would give them 10 stars!!! read more

This is the most family friendly dentist I have ever been to. They care about my children and have always helped us. They have waited after hours to take care of emergencies with my boys. I would have spent needless time in the ER if they had not stayed and waited on me. They have saved my oldest son's permanent front teeth when they were knocked out of the socket at school. They helped me when my 2 year old fell on a coffee table at a friends at halloween and chipped a tooth. They are good people and have wonderful morals!! Great dentist office and located in Canton. I highly recommend this pediatric dentist! I started going there 5 years ago when my son was 2 and full of anxiety about sitting in the chair, laying down, light in his face, etc. And they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate him and me since I felt so terrible making him do this knowing he was unsure and now he is 7 years old and actually looks forward to going to the dentist, seeing all their smiling faces and getting a coin at the end to get a prize! So wonderful! Had a problem that could have gone very badly with the wrong dentist, but everyone was so very nice to me and my 6 yr old that the whole thing was a breeze. They gave me the choice to stay in with him, watch through a window so he didn't know I was there, or wait outside (I've heard some places won't allow the parents back with their kids). Dr. Drew said if at any point during the process my son started getting upset, she would pull back and reassess the plan. But it all went smoothly and I am so pleased with the experience. This place is the best! I've never had a bad experience, and the best part is that my daughter loves to come here. Besides the awesome waiting area for kids the staff is beyond amazing! Every time we have a come down above and beyond to make us comfortable. At one of our cleanings a hygienist pretended to be Jasmine from Aladdin which mesmerized my daughter. All of the staff here are very professional, knowledgeable, and truly care. I also like their gold token rewards system for instant behavior prizes. We LOVE this office. The staff truly cares about my children (I have 3) and they take time listening to my concerns and explaining what needs to be done.I never feel rushed out the door. At every appointment I am always given a sheet explaining all procedures and expenses expected, including what they think insurance will pay and there are never any surprises on the bill. they have digital e-ray which not only uses less radiation but they can zoom in on images when they are showing me so I can clearly see what they are talking about. Being a dentist myself can make it very hard working on my own children. This is the only pedodontal office I have ever referred my patients to, and there is a reason for this. I think the office is wonderful! My son is 16 and has been going to this office since he was 3 . They're kind professional and must of all gentle to my son each time we visit. I would recommend to take their children to this fun and clean place to have your kids teeth looking and feeling great.
