Really impressed with Cherry Public House and all the updates they did to the original cafe. They have pastries and coffee in the mornings and a wide menu for lunch and dinner. They have a fantastic selection of beers with the option to do tastings - liked everything I tried. The indoor space is hip with lots of fun photos and artwork. They also have outdoor seating in the front and back. I had the BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders which included three well sized sliders and an order of fries on the side. I think the new menu is a great upgrade to the menu they use to have before the renovation. It's definitely a great place to stop at for lunch while in Glen Arbor. read more

Ended up stopping here for lunch after a rainy visit to the dunes. Pub style service, so you order at the front and they bring it to you. The food came out quick and everything was really good. I had the marmalade burger and it was good with skinny fries on the side. I loved the kid menu options including "ants on a limb" = dried cherries, PB and apple slices. My tip: save room for the ice cream. It's the fluffiest whipped ice cream EVER and the flavors are to die for! read more

This place is a must! We ordered the chicken salad wrap with fries, Beer cheese pretzel plate, side of Mac and Cheese and a bowl of chilli. It was cold and rainy so we ordered to go and went to shop at the their store while we waited. But first, the food. Cherry chili!? I'm a foodie so I had to try it and I will seriously be dreaming about this until I can eat it again. It has a really nice kick to it and the cherry is a subtle and interesting undertone. The pretzels were perfectly salted and fluffy with a good flavored cheese for dipping, and bonus rainbow carrot slices on the side. The Mac and cheese was slightly underwhelming but I put some of the beer cheese and chili in it (as planned) and it was great that way. I only got one bite of the chicken wrap and was lucky to pry it away from my partner long enough for that! Very flavorful. They did forget our fries... but I'm not even mad about it. Everything was so great and the service was stellar from the beginning, I'll chalk that up to a "we're stupid busy and doing our absolute best during a pandemic" sort of mishap. One more thing before I finish this novel- The store they have there is very cute and we picked up some gifts for our friends who've been pet sitting while we're away. The girl at the checkout asked if it was a gift and then preceded to gift wrap it incredibly beautifully in a snazzy box with some fluffed twigs and leaves. Such great service! Awesome place in a quaint town in northern Michigan. They have the COVID process down with lots of outdoor seating and solid process to feel safe. Amazed by my party of four's food and service received on a slow September Saturday afternoon. I had the pulled pork sandwich with the blaze bbq sauce. I wanted to return immediately for dinner! Yummmm the fries were delish. The sodas and beer were very good as well. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to serve. The worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time. My daughter and I ordered two items to share, both were terrible and horribly overpriced. A black bean burger that cost $13 (fries were an extra $3) and was the size of a child's burger and nothing special. Hummus that cost $11 and was clearly not homemade (Gordon's?). The waitress checked in with us ten minutes or so after the food was delivered. We informed her that our French fries were cold, and that the veggies with the hummus were soggy/water logged. She stated she would inform the kitchen, but didn't seem concerned. She did bring us new fries; slightly warmer. I consider myself easy to please, most of my reviews are 5 stars; but this was overpriced crappy food. Extremely disappointed. I have been to all of the other restaurants in Glen Arbor, but this is my first and last time going here. I love the Cherry Republic store and products so I just assumed it would be good. Horrible. I gave a thumbs down for food quality and left my phone number when I cashed out. I will see if I get a call. read more

The food is pretty good, at least what I had. I tried my husband's burger and it was just ok... but I'm also very picky about my burgers. The pretzel sticks with beer cheese was AMAZING though, and I really love all the cherry beers and wines. The fries also come with some kind of cherry seasoned salt in them and are tasty. The atmosphere was probably my favorite aspect though. Really pretty, and I'm sure it would have been even prettier in the spring when the cherry trees on the property are actually in bloom! read more

We picked this place because it had a 4.5/5 stars on Yelp. It's a tourist destination for sure. A cute shop filled with cherry flavored products and a separate play area for kids. We ordered a black bean burger with fries and pulled pork plate. The black bean burger was flavorless but the fries were quiet tasty. Crunchy and well seasoned. The pulled pork was okay, the corn bread was dry, and the jalapeños coleslaw lacked a flavor punch. The beer cheese pretzels were great though. A flight of 4 for $5 is a deal and these guys make decent beers! At 9:30pm on a summer Saturday night, we had fast and pleasant service with a relaxed atmosphere - we definitely didn't feel not cool nuf to be there after being turned off by a 20min wait and packed venue at another nearby tavern that opens till late. The flavors packed in the pork sliders, cole slaws and mushroom pasta were satisfying. Cherry is obviously their thing, but they make cherry fit in a flavor party rather than dominating the show. read more

Delicious! We had the cherry cider, cherry ginger ale, burger, toasted cheese sandwich, chilli, and seasoned fries with beer cheese - all very good. The cherry jam that came with the cheese sandwich was especially delicious! The QR ordering option made things super easy, and the service was great. It was so good we had to get some jam and candy to take home, and some ice cream to go - peanut butter w/ cherry, and smooth cherry - both delicious, but peanut butter mix was especially good. We were up north during an especially chilly spring break. We had one afternoon with the sun out so decided to be brave and venture out. It was the best afternoon! We went and did the Empire trail at Sleeping Bear Dunes and then drove up to Glen Arbor and went to Cherry Republic land. First we went to the shop and tried all the cherry things and then we headed next door for an early dinner. Everything was perfect about our meal at Public House. I had the Parmesan crusted grilled cheese and it was amazing. We all upgraded the chips that came with our meal to fries, and that was definitely the right choice. Our server was friendly and brought multiple refills of our various cherry pops. We definitely made the most of our afternoon and I look forward to going back to Cherry Republic in-season when more parts are open. read more

I love cherry republic and was very excited to try the place. This wasn't quite the experience I expected. I found Cherry House on my gluten free app, saying they had good choices. However, there were very few gluten free options and chicken is the only option for protein. I ended up ordering the salad without chicken and my friend ordered a grilled cheese. We waited for an hour and a half for our food to come out. It was good but not worth the wait. We left tired and still hungry. read more

All that is fine if you're not expecting a tip for doing less than a fast food workers but the checkout online prompts for a tip still. Incredible place! We sat on the spacious patio where you can order from your phone, and add more as you go. The variety was huge and we enjoyed all of it. Great priced kids meals too which are hard to find. I especially enjoyed their unsweetened cherry ice tea! Fun atmosphere and great service. There is a "Cherry Republic" store in the same lot, so you can go shop and get samples while you wait for you food! read more

Fast service at the bar - Cherry porter was great. The power cherry salad was very fresh (not wilted) and flavorful. Order next to the bar and the staff will bring your order. You are responsible to place your plates in a bin afterwards. I had assumed a bit more service as the tip amount on the screen starts at 18% and goes up from there (you can choose other). Have been a big fan of Cherry Republic since our first visit here 9 years ago. Great to see the restaurant, pub, and ice cream shop/bakery as a recent addition. My wife, my 2 toddler boys and I ate here on a busy 4th of July week. Service was friendly and accommodating. Not a terrible wait. Cheeseburger with cherry bacon marmalade was the best I've had in a long time! Parmesan-crusted grilled cheese... omg!!! Like nothing I've ever had before and delicious! Beer flight reasonable and all good to very good. Fries with cherry seasoning yummy. Ice cream was good but a bit sweet and artificial tasting. The chocolate chunk cherry cookie was spot on though. Couple this with all of the typical Cherry Republic goodness at the main shop and the wine/soda tasting shop, you basically needed to break out the pads to shock us out of the food coma we were in. So well done. Reminds me a lot of the empire Zingerman's deli as created in Ann Arbor. Definitely will be back the next time we are in the area. Just get some holders for your beer flights pleeeeaaassse! read more

Outstanding food at a reasonable price! Both the Pulled Pork MAC & Cheese and Full Rack of Ribs entrees were excellent. Ribs can be very hit 'n miss at different restaurants but these were super-meaty, moist, full flavored, and a generous portion. I've had many Cherry Republic products as a down stater and will definitely make the Cherry Public House a "must stop" on return trips. read more
