Visiting from Idaho, the rig broke down and would not start. We tried to jump it and nothing happened. I mean nothing. We heard about a couple of places and tried calling each multiple times. Cherry Valley were the only ones to pickup. They accepted my vehicle without me being there, diagnosed it, gave me a call with the damage. When it was done I got another call from Emmett my mechanic, made arrangements to get there and picked it up. Emmett was there greeted me with a handshake just like I was back home. Just took my Highlander for a minor service yesterday. Dave was very helpful on the phone when I called to setup the appointment. The shop and waiting area is very clean. Cherry Valley was fast to respond with an appointment scheduled by email. I took my car in to have the front headlights replaced on my 2008 Toyota Prius. I was given an estimate, which seemed very fair, and they looked at it. The staff at Cherry Valley are very professional and knowledgeable. Emmet was very clear and concise as to why my headlights could not be replaced by them. The explanation was based on good mechanical reasoning. They do good work for the most part, but, bring your disinfectant and paper towels when you pick up your car because they don't clean the steering wheel or anything else that the mechanics would be touching... Black oil grease all over the front seat, steering wheel & front door panel. Grease on the carpets in some areas which my husband detailed car the last time it was at Cherry Valley Auto and then yesterday again grease everywhere. He told my husband to "move out of the driveway" as I was cleaning my steering wheel and the seat so I could get out of there!...am sorry I know you are not usually rude but what other way can one interrupt it. My husband is hearing impaired in fact can not hear at all out of his left ear and you as well so maybe this is part of the "problem". At any rate take care! : ) read more

Said I needed a whole new engine when in reality the friend I had fix it first (my mistake) put in the starter upside down. They still should've at least noticed that. I had recommended this place to my mom and they forgot to put the god damn struts on. It got oil all in the spark plugs, had to get all now spark plugs and struts etc. Not impressed. read more

Best auto repair in the area hands down. Since moving here we have tried a handful of places and none have come close to the level of service provided by Cherry Valley Automotive. Another place told us it was a shifter and or transmission problem after their "inspection". Came here to get a second opinion and it was a minor repair. Saved a lot by coming here. So my wife and I moved to Beaumont from Riverside, where I used Bloch & Shelton Garage https://www.yelp.com/biz/bloch-and-shelton-garage-riverside-2 for my automotive repair needs. Riverside is just a little too far to have anyone work on my Jeep; so I was on the hunt for a new auto mechanic in the Beaumont area. I came to Cherry Valley Automotive based on the good Yelp reviews and the pictures of the clean & organized shop. Today I just needed the mechanic to remove my old muffler and replace it with a Flowmaster American Thunder muffler. It took a little more time than I thought it would take, but Dave (mechanic) got it done at a competitive cost. When I went to the shop to pick-up my Jeep, Dave met with me in the parking lot and gave me a complete rundown regarding the work done to my Jeep. For now, Cherry Valley Automotive may become the "Go To" shop for my automotive needs. Next month I have the shop tighten my suspension, rotate my tires, and adjust the front end alignment. If that goes well, I may have them beef-up the brakes and replace the cooling system. read more

Brought my wife's Yukon here for transmission problems because it slips gears and goes into neutral while driving which is extremely unsafe. I was told that the 2016 Yukon needed a completely new transmission and that it would be completed by 12/7/21. It's Friday 12/10/21 and it "might" be ready today. I was quoted a price of $6458 out the door and I will pay that amount. The 6L80E transmission cost is $4871 according to CVA, however after researching these transmissions online they average around $2500 brand new. I understand that businesses have to make a profit and that labor is not cheap. That being said all these google and yelp reviews about "honesty" at this location are questionable. I am from out of town and had an emergency while driving to LA. Pulled off the freeway and asked for a local recommendation. Cherry Valley Automotive was recommended. They diagnosed the problem quickly and to my great surprise, said they could fix the problem immediately. It took them two hours to diagnose and replace my alternator so that I could get back on the road. Staff was friendly and professional. Beware!!!!!! I don't know if it's because I'm a women or because I'm a BLACK women. I really believe it's the latter. I took my car in to this shop to get a tire replaced after damaging my rear driver side tire on a pot hole. After having my vehicle for 2 hours I was advised that my wheel (rim) on the rear passenger side of the car was warped. I was told that I could purchase 4 wheels (rims) for $1,000.00. I declined and ask to have the 2 rear tires replaced with new tires. I was then advised that my tire would not be guaranteed because of the wheel being warped. Crazy thing is that the wheel that was warped was visually fine until you removed the tire. Once you remove the tire you clearly see some rubbing. I then waited an additional 1 hour just to drive home to smell burning rubber and a flat tire. That was clearly due to an improper mounting. I immediately phoned the tires company. I was told that the new tire would not be replaced or refunded but to come in to discuss the situation. My husband attempted to resolve the issue with Dave the manager to no avail. Women, please don't take your car to Cherry Valley Automotive. You will be sold things you do not need. Upon posting my review I received a voice message from Dave the Manager. He stated that he had a change of mind and that he had decided to refund me for the 1 tire. After my husband returned his call as requested. He offered a refund only after the post be removed. Why would Dave the Manager demand that ? I would think that if he was an honest and upright individual he would have provided the refund as he stated that he would on my voice mail. He then could have requested that I edit the post. I wouldn't have had an issue with doing that. That would be the right thing to do. Besides most people would love to read that a positive resolution was reached. Unfortunately, that was not the outcome. read more

Well this place is definitely lived up to the reviews! From the moment I called the shop this morning I have had nothing but great service. I have been dealt with very fairly, and they went over and above what they needed to do for my car. It wasn't all about the mighty dollar to them. Haven't taken my car to other places in the past, I had a general idea as to what was wrong with it. These amazing people were very truthful and actually did a lot to save me money. The estimate I received to replace my catalytic converter when necessary was extremely reasonable. I just can't believe all of the diagnostic and tweaking that they did at no additional cost. This is just for the person who answers the phone, after calling in for help I was basically told they couldn't be bothered with me, he didn't want to waste his lunch break talking to someone he has never met....why do u have a phone if you don't want potential customers to call? And if u didn't want to chat on lunch why did you pick up? Fortunately I found another great company who gladly helped me over the phone 1st (instead of having me tow my car for nothing) and now they will be getting paid and tipped for the fix as well. I brought my vehicle to Cherry Valley Automotive last year because they were the closest shop when I had a radiator over heat last year and they were closest to home. I just decided to give them a one star today because It turned out to be a very huge mistake. The repair was terrible and want to give David the benefit of the doubt that he might honor a warranty to repair my radiator overheating since they never installed the thermostat correctly from the get go. This experience was so horrible because I got a boiling coolant to my reservoir the day I picked up my vehicle from the shop and had to request a tow back to their shop that same day after paying the shop huge amount of money which I had to borrow from my card and still paying to this day. Instead of fixing my vehicle thermostat that they never installed correctly, they want to charge me another $172. instead to replace the brand new radiator cap and brand new thermostat that the shop installed to my vehicle. Since they cannot do it right the first time and the second time and not taking any 3rd chances . I rather save my money and pay some one who's service I trust in East Hollywood 90 miles away than throw my money to a shop who would not even fix a job I paid them a fortune to do with expectation that money I paid is enough to fix the radiator overheating issue of my vehicle. I highly do Not recommend this auto shop. No empathy to what I've gone through and claims to love their customer. read more
