Hi, my name is Melanie Moore and I'm from Michigan. We…read morespent the last week in Door County at "The Rushes" across the street from your farm in Bailey's harbor. We learned that we missed Monday visiting the farm and would have to wait until Thursday as you are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and we check out on Friday. Thursday morning we went to your store and bought 2 Ribeye steaks to cook on the grill for dinner while we packed and got ready to depart on Friday. We were really excited to try them after seeing your business advertised all over the county. Unfortunately our excitement turned to disappointment. Our steaks were not of the quality we were expecting. They were tough and somewhat dry. The sweet potato was very good but that was not enough to justify the $55 we spent on 2 steaks and a sweet potato. My husband also ran back in and grabbed a $12.95 rub for the steaks. I wanted to contact you instead of leaving a bad review on social media. Look forward to hearing back from you. My telephone # is (810)875-1430. Thank you in advance.

I bought farm fresh eggs, fall gourds, brats, and snacks. Very friendly service. And reasonable prices for an independent farm. I recommend stopping in, there are a lot of options.

A real farm market off the beaten path on the way to Door County. Most the stuff you buy was made…read moreor grown here... which is much different than the more popular road side markets to the north. My number one reason to come here is the Celery Pickles. Just one of many types of pickles offered, You can pick your own favorite... they have samples! Reason two... date bars! They have a number of different homemade bakery choices. I love the date bars... they taste just like my grandma used to make! Reason three.... Lefse (Pronounced lef-sa). This Norwegian flat bread is once again "just like my grandma used to make". Can't find it too many places to buy good lefse anymore because most of the old Norwegian's who made it are too old or dead. Wienke's is located right next to a cheese factory so you can also get your fresh Wisconsin cheese all in you stop.

This is my first time visiting this market in the middle of country Farms. I was surprised when I…read morepulled up. There was a tour bus. The market is smaller than I imagined, but it was stacked with lots of goodies. There were samples throughout and I really enjoyed the tart cherry juice and picked up a bottle to take home. They also had blue Amish popcorn, which is a treat. I was surprised there weren't any regular restrooms but just a portable outside which an employee told me even they must use. No thank you. I guess it's too early for fresh corn even though it was sold at the market it was not from Wisconsin because it is too early. So that was a little disappointing, thinking I was getting fresh corn.

Koepsel's is apparently the oldest farm stand in Door County, according to a friend of mine. It…read morelooks it; it hasn't been spruced up like some of the other farms and I actually like that. It adds to the charm for me because I remember going to farm stands with my mom and grandparents when I was growing up in Oregon before they all became mini amusement parks. The folks here aren't overly friendly, though. And by that I mean they barely acknowledge your presence. They apparently need two people to run the register (perhaps there's a method to that madness--there appears to be a single register in the entire place, so if it gets busy it probably can become a real mess). But when we were here there were maybe a half dozen people in so a hello or thanks for coming in would have been nice. It seems unlikely that everything they sell here is made by them. It's obvious on some stuff--like the Dunkin, alcohol, or noodles--but I'm not sure all the canned goods come from their own outfit, either, rather than being made by other entities and simply sold here. What might annoying me more than anything is that there's a sign on there checkstand that says that credit cards will be charged with 3% fee, but that charge isn't charged on debit cards. I used ApplePay since they take that (which was a bit of a surprise, in all honesty) and it was debit, but I wasn't asked to enter my pin so I assume I was charged the 3% additional fee anyway. Bummer.

First of all, the market itself is amazing! All of the products they sell are top notch!!…read more However, the fact that nothing in there is inexpensive, the people that work behind the counter we're lazy and rude The pink haired person, person behind the counter couldn't even see it in her heart to reach for some of the products that we were purchasing that we had put on the counter, and had to ask us to move them closer to her. She couldn't even lean forward to grab the product herself Would it be so difficult to smile a little bit and say thank you once in a while? And ruins the experience
