Wow! I live so close and just tried this place. Everything is great: the service, the prices, and the sandwiches. And the smoothies are abosolutely amazing! Like the reviewer before me, this review is for their Logan Square Farmers Market stand where they offer $2 tacos and elotes (and if you don't know what one is yet, you've got to come on Sunday and try one!), and $3 horchata. The tacos are great - simple, full of flavor, and just like you would get at your favorite taqueria. The fact that they work so fast, serve such good food, and such affordable prices - well, it's no surprise the line is always so long. When you add music, a lot of grassy, shady areas for people to sit with their friends and families - it makes a perfect day at the market. Check them out. I've never been to their location on Fullerton, but as long as they're at the market, they have my $$ every Sunday! read more

Best smoothies ever. I walk past this place on my way home from work and am sad that I didn't stop in sooner. They make the best, most tasty, and well, smoothest smoothies around, and now that it's hot out I'm going to be walking home a lot more (instead of getting a ride) just so I can stop and get a smoothie and a bite to eat. read more

Cherubs is the best! Great tacos, paninis, salads, smoothies, all at affordable prices. Lots of seating, wifi, and very down to earth service. This is my favorite place to get lunch, do them a favor and pay in cash. Anyone that complains about this place's lighting, decor, couches should take their pijo asses out of Logan Square. read more

I was a bit skeptical when I was first asked to go here. The exterior leads you to believe what the interior will look like. If you are the least bit perceptive you will be right. Bright orange awning and a neon "Open" sign blaring from the window. Kinda tacky. No. Scratch that, VERY tacky. The inside. Oh the inside. When you first walk in you are greeted by a concrete garden fountain that has long since been out of commission. In, or under rather, this fountain are chotchkies such as little wooden homes, nautical ropes, and of course cherubs. Everywhere. The fountain maybe works at night only spewing cherub-esqe things all over the place. My favorites are the huge framed cherub xerox and spray-paint pictures/photos that adorn almost every wall. Its OK though, my mother has a garden room that is very reminiscent of this place. Which brings me to the comfort level of this place. Its like you've stepped into someones apartment that doubles for a storefront. There are mismatched chairs everywhere. Make sure to sit in the Beetlejuice inspired chair by the window. The menu looks limited, they offer a handful of coffee drinks, smoothies, liquados (ice,milk,fruit- kinda like a smoothie though not as thick). They offer a small variety of desserts mainly churros (amazing when fresh) and ice cream (maybe a dozen flavors-the usual). They also offer two salads, the spinach salad and the cherub salad. Ive had both and although they are gargantuan in size and little in price the dressings were just too much. If you like you're salads slathered in vinaigrette then you'd love these. I don't come here for any of these things though. I come here for their chicken salad sandwich. I don't even like chicken salad. Well, I didn't. This place made me forget that. Their buttery bread is baked fresh (to order I believe- seeing that it can easily take 20 minutes for your sandwich) and the chicken salad. Jesus, the chicken salad. I'm also pretty sure that they make this to order as well. Its the perfect savory chicken salad garnished with nothing but lettuce. I think my dislike of chicken salad happened when things like apples and grapes started becoming popular add-in's. you wont need anything else as its all in the salad. Fresh tomato, red onion, celery, mayo, and subtle spices that meld everything together perfectly. While you might have to wait a bit for your order its definitely worth it. Come in with a book and your laptop because I think they just got WIFI. Five stars just for their chicken salad sandwich. read more

Decided to try a new place. This place is VERY affordable and great for doing work (quiet, lots of electrical outlets, free wifi, good lighting, warm and cozy). Cherub's is one of those little neighborhood places that if you don't look for it you could easily miss it, and if you do miss it well too bad and shame on you. The staff there is very friendly and really cute I might add. Also, the prices are pretty reasonable only because you get your money's worth. While I haven't had the ice cream there i have had the cappucino they make which is awesome and their paninis just incredbile. My favorite is the pastrami with swiss and mustard on any kind of bread. This place is so nice and relaxing to hang out in and just kickback for a while. I would go there again and again as for as long as they stayed open. I would also recommend this place to anybody. Cherubs is a really nice and quiet place!! i think is the best place to have a chat with some one and do your work! We offfer free wi-fi which is great!! well i am one of the employees there and have been workin there for 4 years already! i love the environment and my customers are nice and polite all the time! I like to show respect n make them feel welcome at all times! As i read the reviews i noticed that i have been doing a really good job at that! =) thank youz!! And my co-worker is as nice as me!! Everything in the menu is freshly made like our.. chicken,tuna,pink salmon salads...paninis......pastries..etc n we are bakin fresh bread all day. And YES our soups are HOMEMADE! no doubt about that! We also have homemade churros! Which are really good!!! We have fix our menu now! Thanks for pointing that out! We truly appreciate your comments n suggestions!!
