Hooray for dog friendly!
Lindsay K.

This is a fun little brewery in an unassuming spot off Route 3. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, they're dog friendly, and they often have a food truck outside. I first came here in colder weather so we sat inside with the pups and enjoyed some brews. I could have used a heavier selection of dark beers, but that seems pretty standard everywhere I go. Their menu of beers is a bunch of icons on the wall, and no matter where you stand there is a glare on some part of them, so it's actually really hard to see what they have on tap while you're standing at the bar. They could use a chalk or handwritten menu somewhere on the wall. I've never really encountered anyone super personable or helpful at the bar either, but nobody is unfriendly... We enjoyed our time there until another dog kept barking at mine, so we eventually finished our beers and left. Came back again in warmer weather and was super excited that they had outdoor picnic tables on the lawn! My dogs love a good roll in the grass, so this was the perfect place for them! I've always enjoyed me time here, worth checking out!

Part of their trivia night is trying to guess what your bill will be......

The only reason they get 2 stars is the beer is good. However, they willfully refuse to post or otherwise show what the cost of the beers are. You order a beer, and you only find out what it costs when you pay....leaves ALOT of room for shifty bartenders. Not saying they have any, but why provide the opportunity? The two other competing breweries, Crooked Crab & Pherm, have all prices listed; onsite & online. Felt like I just left Bubba's Used Car Lot when I left there.........

A little hidden gem, opened in Feb '18. Spacious inside, with lots of variety in seating. They have games in the corners, tvs showing the local games, and a large bar area. Speaking of variety-oh gawsh all the beers they have! A nice cross of types, blended with cask specials! While we were there they also changed out two beers. Don't get overwhelmed though, their super friendly bar staff provide ample samples to ensure you commit to a pour you want. Though most of their beer was so great I ended up with two flights (which are super reasonably priced). Their fruit-based flavors have the perfect balance, their porters are bold and heavy-nothing was over syrupy. Their flight holders are adorably branded and well constructed, and the pours are big 5oz. Def. a place to become a regular-we had a great time talking with the crew

Came for an event and it was our first time here. It won't be our last. Place is super cute and spacious. The staff was so nice, personable and helpful. We started with two drinks and then transitioned to a flight to try out as many of their offerings as possible. My favorite out of all we've tried so far is the Hazy Express. We will probably bring some home. I like that they have events and bring in food trucks. The kitties and doggies were a welcomed addition!

A Hannah fan. Nice group of local ladies out for the afternoon!

Finally visited Chesepiooc! Holy crap! This place has been open for 18 months a mile from my house! Shame on me for not getting there earlier and supporting a local business! My wife and I hit Chesepiooc on a Saturday at 1:00 pm. There were only three other patrons enjoying the beer when we arrived. We were greeted by a dog when we arrived, which told me I already loved this place. Yes, your well behaved dogs are allowed inside the bar! My wife and I ordered a couple of drafts. James, bartender at the time, was a great guy and gave us numerous samples until we (read: my wife) decided on a brew. I really enjoyed their selection and had maybe a few more than I should have (read: wife drives home). There's no cooked food. Who gives a crap? They do have salsa, queso, and chips, so they've covered my three food groups. BUT, they have menus from local restaurants that will deliver to the brewery. You can bring your own food if you desire. What's not to love? Plenty of friendly folks started filtering in, so I'm convinced that this is going to be a regular stop from now on. My wife left and went home to get one of our dogs. How many places can you say that you went home and brought your dog back! Steve took over after James and it was a pleasure talking with him. How many folks offer you some of their Royal Farms chicken? These are real good folks. I had a great time here and will be returning soon. They also have awesome T-shirts that everyone in Crofton should buy. They're working on getting a sign on Rt 3 so they can get a little more traffic. I hope the County or State (screwed either way) gets their head out of their ass and helps them out. Uh, tax dollars at 9% folks! They do have food trucks for special events. Start patronizing Chesepiooc. Crofton needs this place!

I am so glad my husband and I had time to stop by this brewery. They had so many beers to choose from and they were ALL great. There was not one we tried that we didn't like, and that is saying something. My favorite was the smoked beer. Very good smoky flavor-it would go perfect with homemade BBQ. My husbands favorite was the campfire stories. They had a couple of dart boards and plenty of seating. We had a good time. It was a very nice stop to start off our weekend. We highly recommend stopping if you have the time.

I've only been a few times but always charming with a nice variety of craft brews. Very casual, laid back atmosphere with friendly bar service. You can bring your own food or save the calories and have a flight or two. It's a 45 minute drive for me but worth it if you have a designated driver. Cheers

We came here for a keg opening. Our friends son brewed a keg and it was time to crack it open. They offer this to all patrons. There is a cost but you get to be a brewmaster for a day. The place has a great selection of their craft beers and offers wine and liquor as well. Limited selection but if your partner doesn't like beer they have an option. Snacks are available and they have menus from local restaurants plus food trucks come by. None came by when we were there. A negative is no ice! A positive is you can bring your own food, snacks, ice or whatever except for alcohol beverages. I think that's a good trade off. Roll the dice and try this place. I think you will enjoy it.

Cousin Frisco Tap House…read more I absolutely love this place! The customer service is top-tier every single time we come in, the staff goes above and beyond. We usually pull up deep with our car family, and they handle our large group with so much patience and positive energy. It never feels like a hassle to them, which says a lot. Frisco has really opened its doors to our car community by hosting a Cars & Coffee series, and that kind of support doesn't go unnoticed. You can tell the whole team genuinely welcomes us they treat us like family every time. Now let's talk about the drinks...always on point! I'm a lightweight, so I only need one, and somehow they manage to make it just right because about two hours later, I'm exactly where I need to be...knocked out in my bed . And listen...THE CHICKEN & WAFFLES?! Hands down my favorite. So damn good every single time. Crispy, flavorful, and just hits the spot. No long waits to be seated or for a waiter to come and assist you. The ambiance is like any other sports bar/pub. TV's all around for sports and a long bar. towards the bar there's additional long/high chair tables to continue happy hour fellowship or group gatherings. (wish i had pics, can't find them!) I ordered the margarita flight and i asked for LALO tequila in all of the drinks. All of them were pretty interesting. I didn't really like the blood orange margarita, but the others were cool. I decided to order a ribeye steak (never had it before at BJ's decided to step out of my norm) As did my Bf. I was a little disappointed when received our food because our steaks were different shapes/thickness, too salty & not properly cooked to our preferred doneness. We brought this up to our waitress and asked for the Head Chef to re-make the steaks. She apologized and sent it back. In the interim, we enjoyed hot honey wings & you can never go wrong with the wings! no complaints, always a solid choice. The kitchen brought us both fresh steaks, and asked us was it cooked to our liking. The ribeyes looked like ribeyes, and rather than less seasoning, it tasted like there wasn't any seasoning at all. It was better than before but not 100%. However we agreed to avoid feeling like we are complaining too much. We continued our meal, paid, tipped & left. This felt like an honest accident as this location was fairly busy due to graduation season in the area. I also felt like I couldn't expect steakhouse quality from a tavern-styled restaurant. Moreover, it's BJ's food is good for what you get. I do enjoy BJ's, I do enjoy sticking to the food I know from there, and will see myself visiting again.

One kids' meal had a rare cheeseburger, then another was a grilled cheese with bread so stale that it was crumbly. Also, we didn't realize the kids' meals came with fries OR fruit, the menu was not quite clear. Regardless, I feel as though the server could have mentioned "the fruit will be extra" so I could have corrected my decision. There was absolutely no reason why I would EVER pay $15 for $3 worth of pineapple, especially for kids. The waitress was nice enough, I was just very annoyed about the fruit situation. She seemed to think it was intuitive and kinda shrugged when I told her about the confusion. With four kids, $15 for fruit is just insane. She brought cheesecake as an apology for the messed up kids' meals. But I would have rather not had the cheesecake and just gotten the fruit taken off the ticket. They didn't even eat it, as kids do. The restaurant was nice. It just looked a little run down. Like the floors were extremely dirty, they need a good cleaning. Despite being very busy, we were seated quickly-that was a pleasant surprise. In summary, be prepared to send food back to be cooked properly. And good Lord, make sure you don't accidentally order fruit, it's $5 for 10 small chunks of pineapple.
