Enjoyed a great family [Saturday] lunch with top service from JJ. She handled everything with aplomb. Food was very good. I came across their Tuesday crab cake special and had enough time to also make HH so how could I not. How could anyone not!? I decided upon their Escape Pina Colada Sour after Juan gave me a sample when he noticed my hesitancy and I agreed I could down a glass since it didn't taste like an actual beer after sipping lol I asked for a menu after some time had passed and after I tried scanning the QR code on the bar multiple times (don't do that. It's for the actual woodworker/carpenter lol) I saw their Tuesday special online but it wasn't mentioned on the menu so I asked and was informed it was only for the restaurant side (Frisco). I was confused because when I walked in on the Frisco side I asked the bartender about the brewery side since I knew I'd have to sample something before committing and was informed to go through the restroom door to reach it on the other side. I made sure to ask if I could also order food from over there as well and was informed I could. No worries though, Juan took care of me and was able to place the order for me. I was about to be bad and order fries but he recommended their parmesan risotto instead and I thought, of course! Then, I remembered they offered seasonal veggies and asked about it and to my happy surprise was informed they had bok choy or brussels sprouts! Either would be yummy so I quickly agreed. This is definitely a local's spot. Many people came in and were known my first names so I felt comforted by that. They're was also a manager on the phone figuring out a mishap with their POS system as well which made me feel like they were on their stuff. Highly appreciated plus he quickly picked up my keys when I dropped them also so I didn't have to get down from my seat. I enjoyed the bok choy and couldn't make out the flavors but they didn't take away from the slight pepperiness of it and the stalk still had it's crunch. But my crab cake was tasty. I don't know if i can get on board with the inside but being crazy hot. The one I had the day prior wasn't hot inside either and I don't want it deep fried . . . . . Hmmmmm, small I start a crab cake tour I've been awaiting this journey . . . . I shall! So this is officially stop No. 2 Crab cake was seasoned well. Not too much seasoning and not bland. The outside was covered with jumbo lump clusters and the color on the broil was perfect. Fresh parsley throughout and cocktail sauce was given but I wasn't going to take away from their version. Was it MD crab? I'm not sure but I feel like if it was, it would have been advertised as such. Still good and I'd order again. Slid into the bar while running errands in the Columbia area. It was my first time coming. I had heard some good things about it so wanted to see first hand. I noticed it was restaurant week and thought this would have been a great opportunity to try some of their menu. After ordered a drink at the bar I was informed that the restaurant week menu was only available inside the dinning area. Since I am lazy o didn't feel like moving and instead chose to order from the regular menu. Went with the wings with the sauce on the side and a pepperoni pizza. Standard bar food that's was pretty good. I finished the pizza but only ate half the wings. For my beverage a chose their Loyally Blond house brewed blond ale. Very cool and refreshing. Bar area had plenty of TVs with various sports playing. Looks like they have a stage in the bar area for live music. It's a nice place and I would return. read more

Visited this brewery for a trivia event. It is rather large and has ample parking. It's located in a strip center and has two sides - one is a restaurant and the other a brewery (I am sure it's due to stupid MD rules regarding breweries). We were in the brewery side. There is ample seating and even an outdoor area as well. This is a very large place! There's a full size stage and you can see inside the brewery operations thanks to large windows if sitting inside. This place can accommodate large parties! They also have lots of TV's/projections on multiple walls which would make this a terrific place to catch a game. You order your food and drinks at the bar and then they bring everything out to you except the drinks which you get at the bar when you order. They don't just have beer. They can make a drink from the well stocked bar. It would be cool if they had a cocktail menu to see what concoctions they could have made with the liquor they had (such as Jameson coffee flavor). We got a few of their beers and a couple orange crushes that were very good. It's fun to try their beers. We didn't see a flight option that would have allowed you to try several of their beers. If you walk around the back area, there is a crush shed that is by the garage doors leading outside. The food menu has lots of options. They even have a pizza oven. We tried the chicken sandwich, wings, and three different pizzas. The sandwich was great and highly recommend the pizzas. All were terrific. The onion rings weren't that spectacular. The wings were good too (order them well done). The service is great! Everyone is super friendly and helpful. You won't wait long for your food. They are very efficient. Even with it being super busy when we were there, everyone was very happy. Great place to perch and meet up with friends while grabbing some yummy food and drinks. The outside area is pretty amazing! Was my first time at Reckless Shepherd when a friend asked to do a happy hour, was just the two of us. I originally walked in the Friscos/restaurant side and they pointed me to the Reckless Shepherd side. The Reckless Shepherd size is a large almost-warehouse space with bar top tables, a small stage, and views of the brewery. Ordering is done via online app and typically food and drinks are quickly delivered. The food is good, but a little pricey. The beer isn't my favorite but it's fun to try the different options. There is parking out front, though not sure what happens on a busy evening as it's not a huge lot. read more

I came here on a onewheel group ride with a few friends- we were able to charge our boards outside while we ate and had some drinks. I had the whipped feta and cheesesteak egg rolls and both were great! If you're looking for a solid happy hour spot, this is the one for you. The space is large so it can accommodate a large party. They also have parking spots outside so you don't have to worry about street/pay to park. It is two separate locations as one is a restaurant and this one is a brewery so this entrance will be located straight on from the parking lot versus the other is from the side. The system they have here for service is flawless. They have an online service that you can view their menu, order and pay at the end! It is easy to use and I thought it saved so much time rather than waiting for a waiter etc. We ordered a ton of food here and I have to say, everything was very good! Good beer, good food, with service that brings things out quickly. However. If you're wanting a brewery to relax at, come after 8 when it's 21 and over. Because otherwise there will be literal hoards of preteens quite literally throwing trash, jenga bricks, and pool cues at each other. Screaming, cursing, and hopping and hollering. Before the kids came, it was great! After, I couldn't wait to get out. They use the toast tab ordering system, utilizing the phone to send back, things are delivered quickly, food is fresh. Overall: delicious beer, fun events, okay food, and good service We've been for an open mic night and Dueling Pianos. Both events were free and really fun and the beer was excellent- we tried lots of IPAs and sours. Reckless is a big room with a bar, a stage, lots of high top tables, some couches, pool, ping pong, giant jenga, giant connect 4, and other fun games. I like the vibe and how many things they have to do. It's not the cleanest, but I get that since they host so many concerts. They don't have high chairs that match the height of all the high top tables, so when we brought our son to open mic we had to sit on the couch which wasn't a huge issue since the place was empty. You scan a QR code and do all of your ordering online. Food and drinks come out relatively quick. I always prefer to have the option of a paper menu and server because I don't love being on my phone when I'm with my son or on a date but it was still okay. Our food was fine. We've tried the pizza, onion rings, burger, salad, and chicken sandwich. Nothing I would rave about, but I like how much variety they have for being a pub. Came here on a Saturday night with my family, and surprisingly, we were seated right away. Our server was Victoria, and she was great! We started off with the cheesesteak egg rolls. They were fried perfectly, and the filling was tender and flavorful. I do wish the cheese dip was a little thinner, but they didn't really need it. I got the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta as my entree. It was really good. I like the spicy sauce, but I think I would have preferred a different type of pasta. They used cavatappi. I actually really liked this place. The bar area has plenty of seating. I was pleasantly surprised at the bourbon selection as I never expect much at a brewery centered on beer. The food was actually tasty. Most bar food is just meh, but those egg rolls were quite delicious. The only downside was the bartender was a Steelers fan. Aside from that, he was great. Server was conscientious and kept glasses full of water, made sure we had condiments as needed, prompt delivery of checks. Menu is expansive, if not especially healthy. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers and entrees. I had steak Nachos (wouldn't have them again... chips too thin and got soggy). I didn't drink, but they have a huge beer selection. I caught up with a friend I literally haven't seen in like a decade here! It's fairly easy to locate, and has enough parking. The inside of the place is so spacious, whew! I was surprised when I stepped in. Thankfully, I found my friend relatively quickly and we got to catching up! We didn't have a server -- we had to do it the techie way and scan the QR code and order online. I know it's deterring to some, but it works well for me!! And the drinks came fast! I didn't have any food, but the drinks were tasty! Those margaritas, whew! On the other hand, I wasn't expecting it, but there was live music that day. It was one of those loud bands -- so you gotta be there for the music, because you can't really talk otherwise. We did most of our chatting in between songs and sets. Frisco's is a new hidden gem for me. Love love love the food, the service, friendliness, and the co-customers. Had a blast during football season (Go Commanders!, Go Ravens!). We visted Frisco and the Reckless Shepherd at their new location last night, and overall, it's a nice place to hang out with friends. The front of the building is Reckless Shepherd and the back of the building is Frisco restaurant. After finding parking (which is a bit limited, so we recommend carpooling!), we walked to the back area for dinner. The outdoor area has a fenced in area where there are signs that say no outside food or drink beyond that point. Within the outdoor seating area, there is corn hole, long tables, counter seating and even seats by two fire pits. Unless you've heard or read up on the place, it can be very confusing on how to be seated because there are no signs saying to seat yourself. Once you pick a spot to sit, there are cards with QR codes to scan on the tables to order your food through your phone. You can pay as you order or keep your tab open and keep ordering through your phone until you're ready to pay. The online ordering accepts Apple Pay or debit/credit card. Once you place your order, the food runners bring out your food and drinks to you. The service was pretty quick, but after they drop off items to your table, you have to go up to the counter to ask for anything else you might need that's not a food item that you can order on the app. We've been to self-ordering restaurants before, so we wish this one had options to click buttons for certain service requests (ex: more napkins button, etc). As for the food, the pizza was great and my husband enjoyed his burger! The nachos we were disappointed with as it was a very small portion for the price ($14) so we probably wouldn't get them again. Overall, this place seems like a great spot to meet up with friends for drinks and quick bites to eat. Hope to be back at some point with some friends to play corn hole! read more

I went here twice, both were in February 2024. Once was my birthday party we went to a nearby Indian restaurant and then were looking at options to go afterward. The beer was good here. There was a band playing, which was solid with a nice stage area and some high top seating. They also had games like Jenga, ping pong, etc. The staff was cordial. The other time I went was 12 days later for a Meetup, which I had another good beer. I hadn't had the food here, but been to Frisco's in Gambrills and honestly not a huge fan of their food but it's not too bad. Went with a group to see a live music event here recently. The good news is the space is ample and they did NOT oversell the tickets. Thanks for that. Also, the back part of the venue is quieter, if you like that, or you can situate yourself closer to the stage. Very well done. Unfortunately, the service model, beer, and food left some to be desired. The service model is awful, the usual "order on Toast, and we'll bring it". So no interaction with servers, in fact there are no servers, just food/drink runners. This has never worked well in any place I've had to use it. Terrible decision just to milk more profit. The drink runners couldn't even tell us which beer was which, which is absolutely asinine. Speaking of beer, it was uniformly lackluster. Really needs some work to get to a decent level - sorry, brewmaster (if there actually is one). A swing and a miss on beers. All of them. Food, not awful, but not "good". In particular, the pizza was thin crust and limp - so extremely hard to eat. Mediocre quality in the taste department as well. And here's the kicker - they don't bring any napkins with food, so YOU have to get up, go well across the room, and find the tiny thin napkins. And lastly, the service staff - I'm sure - are underpaid and not happy to be there. The result - they're not friendly. A group of us came for their grand opening and we had a great time! With it being a grand opening, they handled it well. Drafts for $6-7 each, cocktails, and good variety of food (pizza, burgers, wings, cheesesteak, salad, kids menu, and more). I had the dobbin road cheesesteak with a side of fries, frisco chicken tenderloins, and pretzels and beer cheese. The food was great, especially for a grand opening. I really enjoyed the pretzel, definitely recommend it. Fries were good, but could be crispier. They also have some cocktails on tap which was interesting, maybe I'll try next time. You can order at the bar or use the QR code on the tables. There's a stage for live music and a 9x16 LED screen. 6 big TVs behind the bar. There's two pool tables and table tennis. Decided to take the family to brunch and we thought we would test out Frisco. I've been here before and liked dinner and lunch so it felt like a safe try.... The decor is nice, it's pretty new and has a modern bar feel to it. The menu for brunch was a little basic, not much imagination... We were seated right away and there weren't many people there.... The waiter came over pretty quick to take the drink orders and was nice and pleasant. About 5 min later the kid drinks came out, the adults ordered cocktail coffee drinks. They came out about 15 minutes later! I had the Moroccan coffee which was okay, not great. The bar whip on the top wasn't very fresh and the sugar on the rim was kinda gross. I have had it before from here and it had been good in the past. The waiter came back about 10-15 min later to take the order! Yeah, slow service. We ordered and the food came out slow like the service. The food was good though, I had eggs, bacon, and a waffle. Everything was good, not great but the service was slow and inefficient. The greeter David had me me walk by myself abt 25 feet to my table. He couldn't be bothered to do his job. I sat there 20 minutes while a brunette male passed my table multiple times and avoided me. He helped the booth next to me and then when his table of 10 camein (abt 30 min later) he also served that entire table alone. However, i had the most adorable, professional and very proud server(proud of the establishment). She, without being prompted, told me how hard the scratch kitchen staff works. She proceeded to tell me about the restaurant and that she had almost been there a year. Her name begins with the letter A. By the way, i summoned her to my table. It appears that David didn't let anyone know that the booth that every server walked by to go into the kitchen needed a server , water and utensils. David also neglected to leave utensil like i saw him do for other tables. The food was only, okay. I had the fried shrimp appetizer and a very very spicy jambalaya entree. Best pizza in the area. That isn't saying much at all, but it's definitely very good. All of the food is great, but it better be for the price you're paying. Definitely one of the few bar/restaurants in this area I actually enjoy and keep coming back to. Apparently everyone else feels the same way, since this place can get INSANELY busy, especially for shows, making parking the occasional nightmare. But the service never falters and is always on point. This place has an awesome staff, for sure. I give it a solid 4.5, but Yelp only prefers whole numbers it seems. This cavernous place has a lot of potential. It's huge, has tons of seating, a stage, pool and ping pong tables, with a backdrop of tanks for brewing beer. The bathrooms are very clean. Really large space! The main room has a bar, a stage, ping pong table, and a pool table. There's a back deck area with 2 fire pits. Definitely a cool place to hang out! We've been twice now on a Friday and there's live music which is always fun. You order through a QR code at your seat and drinks are brought to you. They have their own beers on tap and a few others.
