BJ's is a go-to spot for me. I always order their hot honey wings, pizza to share, a drink & a pazookie at the end. Service is pretty timely. No long waits to be seated or for a waiter to come and assist you. The ambiance is like any other sports bar/pub. TV's all around for sports and a long bar. towards the bar there's additional long/high chair tables to continue happy hour fellowship or group gatherings. (wish i had pics, can't find them!) I ordered the margarita flight and i asked for LALO tequila in all of the drinks. All of them were pretty interesting. I didn't really like the blood orange margarita, but the others were cool. I decided to order a ribeye steak (never had it before at BJ's decided to step out of my norm) As did my Bf. I was a little disappointed when received our food because our steaks were different shapes/thickness, too salty & not properly cooked to our preferred doneness. We brought this up to our waitress and asked for the Head Chef to re-make the steaks. She apologized and sent it back. In the interim, we enjoyed hot honey wings & you can never go wrong with the wings! no complaints, always a solid choice. The kitchen brought us both fresh steaks, and asked us was it cooked to our liking. The ribeyes looked like ribeyes, and rather than less seasoning, it tasted like there wasn't any seasoning at all. It was better than before but not 100%. However we agreed to avoid feeling like we are complaining too much. We continued our meal, paid, tipped & left. This felt like an honest accident as this location was fairly busy due to graduation season in the area. I also felt like I couldn't expect steakhouse quality from a tavern-styled restaurant. I went to BJs last night for a late night date and the service was pretty slow even though they were not very busy. I arrived around 10 p.m. and honestly the highlight of my visit was the non alcoholic Blushing sangria. It was really good. I ordered the Steakhouse wedge salad, medium rare, but for some reason they were not able to deliver the steak at the temperature I requested. It came out medium well and the one piece I tried was extremely tough. I ended up sending the entire dish back. BJs does have a late night happy hour with some decent appetizers and drink options. They also offer a five dollars for five wings special, so I tried the dill pickle ranch dry rub wings which were actually good. That is all I ate for the evening. My date ordered the jambalaya which was okay and the lemon pepper wings. Service was the main downfall because everything took a while and our server could have checked on us more often. Let's talk about the manager I believe he was the tall bald man he was friendly and so helpful. Came on a busy Saturday night and told him we had a reservation he got Precious to sit and serve us immediately. Ordered the creamsicle mocktail it was good taste was spot on. Ordered the burger and fries probably best fries 10/10 the burger was cool . Had the salted caramel cookie 10/10 tasted amazing could really taste every ingredient. Precious was definitely busy but still an amazing server. You could genuinely tell that everybody did their job well because of management. He was helping seat people, cleaning tables, and more. Date night! I'd read the reviews and decided to accept the challenge and see for myself. Kinda empty on a rainy Monday evening. We were seated immediately and greeted by a smiling Whitney. A plus, she was happy and that's a great sign. Nice Bar area, lots of tv's showing the game. Warm atmosphere. Crazy Menu lots of choices. We decided immediately to share the avocado egg rolls. Can't mess those up, tasty and okay. My date decided on the New Orleans jambalaya pasta. It actually looked amazing. No complaints from him, loaded with chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage. Me, not as adventurous... let me get my veggies in, salad, burger and onion rings. I can't help it! Again considering the reviews, playing it safe. Decent choice. Fresh salad... super fresh and delicious. You can tell when the veggies are crunchy. Burger, medium and juicy. Honestly the burger was fire. The onion rings, nah... I've had better. Atmosphere seems to be presentable. Staff took a while to greet us but seemed to be helpful for the most part. Unfortunately the glasses were not clean so we had to request new glasses. They were out of a couple desired items ordered. The food took a while to come out as well. The staff did try to remedy hiccups so the evening was not a complete bust. So it has been over 7 years since we went to BJ's because it was just so bad. We went to just grab a beer about 2 weeks ago and it was nice. We figured we would try for dinner. I believe our server's name was Skyler and we had great service, the food was excellent, and the value was great. We went with the specials (3 different versions) and all were excellent and a desert for $13. Our server's name was checked on us regularly and got everything out to us in a timely manner. We kind of felt bad as we needed things explained since the had so many options, but we were well taken care of. We arrived at this location at 5:00 p.m. on 6/14. We were seated immediately, which was good, and got our drink orders in. We ordered the salmon and ribeye steak dinners. It took an hour for our food to get to us, and when it did, the food was cold. During that time, a family of four came in, and no one even came by to take their drink orders, so they got up and left. In the booth behind us, a disabled customer had to get up and go to the hostess just to get someone to come over and take their drink orders. Bj's - One of those ol faithful places to go to... One of my favorite items of there's is always their margarita flights. (I was told it isn't on the menu - by request only, so you're welcome ;) , & it is pictured attached), my favorite being the white peach margarita, least favorite being the spicy mango. My good girlfriend and I came here, ate the calamari and lovedddd it! Literally were picking over who was getting the last few bites. The same for the brussel sprouts, super good. For those that eat pork, understand that there is no pork included in the making or presentation of the meal either. As mentioned prior, I loved the white peach margarita, and wound up ordering a full cup. Also, loved that! The reason why I gave Bj's 4 instead of 5 stars is because of their service - it was slower than normal. We did go on a Saturday, but also the server.. just wasn't attentive. Being fair in service, I don't think its fair to not have at least your name and a "I'll be right back with you" to calm my 'why hasn't anyone came to my table yet?' motion. Let me start by adding that we arrived an hour before they closed and the waiters appeared to be tired. We had to wait awhile for our utensils after receiving our food but we understood. The food was great! Their signature wings were well played and physically aesthetic and the taste were the added bonus..very delicious and tasty. In addition, the grilled salmon, rice and broccoli were also very tasty and hearty. Didn't get a picture of the ice cream and hot macadamia nut cookie with ice cream because we ate it too fast. The atmosphere was friendly and the restaurant was very big and accommodating to large parties. Whether going for happy hour, watching the game on Sunday or celebrating with family and friends, this restaurant caters to all of you needs and the menu is very diverse with a dish or to for everyone's needs. The customer service was great, my group of 4 was seated right away, and the waitress continued to check in on us often. Ambiance, the music was tasteful and not too loud, it wasn't too chilly; however, the folks sitting near us complain about it being too dark -- I was a little TIFFED when their waiter raised the blinds in front of our table - totally changed the ambiance at our table and we were ready to leave. The first thing asked is "before we get started, how are we handling the check?" I've never been asked that until after service is completed at the end of a meal. So strike one. My partner wanted their famous cookie desert so we came from DC to check it out. We decided to sit in the bar area and have appetizers as well. I ordered the chicken pot stickers and she got lemon pepper wings. Both were very tasty. We went with the strawberry shortcake and it was very decadent. Drinks came fast, everything else was sloooooow. Sadly the place was almost empty besides the bar being a little busy. Our food finally arrives after a long wait. I ordered the country fried chicken. Everything had a great taste. Chicken was fried perfectly, gravy had the right amount of spices, and the potatoes were spot on. The succotash they provided was a joke. First of all, almost 100% corn. It seriously looked like corn that someone put some seasoning on. Second, the amount was laughable. Saying it was one fork full is generous. I enjoyed it, but it shouldn't be gone after one bite. Besides the long waits, the biggest disappointment was the pizzookie that came with my meal. Hot fudge with ice cream, it doesn't get much better. As my kids and I are digging in, there's a GIANT HAIR in it. GAG! I could have asked for another one, but didn't want to sit around waiting another half an hour for it. I went here on a Wednesday evening around 6pm. They had a moderate crowd. It took a little while for the hostess to come out and seat the customers that had gathered and were waiting. (I put my party on the wait list, but it really wasn't needed.) The hostess was very pleasant when she did seat us. After maybe 10 minutes the manager came and asked if our server came by. We said no and he took our drink orders (2 waters and one beer) and said a server would come over to get our food order. He brought our water. We waited another 10-20 minutes and decided to leave. The beer never arrived and neither did a server. It was painfully clear that they need more help, however this is not new. This location has a reputation for having subpar service if you are not seated in the bar area. I forgot this and was quickly reminded why I never sit in the dining area (we sat there on this occasion because my friend brought her twins babies) on the rare occasions that I do go there. It's a shame because they have a decent menu. I'm not sure if it is a staffing issue or a scheduling issue, but it definitely needs to be addressed. We went to another restaurant nearby and we were seated and our order was taken all within 10 minutes of arriving. I gave 2 stars because the hostess and the manager were nice. read more

The layout may differ, but the service, quality of food and general ambience are identical. I once walked into this place a few years ago and I happened to catch it at a time when it was full- which could be always but I wouldn't know that. Anyway, I wasn't really feeling that vibe and so moseyed on somewhere else. Fast-forward a few years and I take my wife here based on the great experience we had at the Laurel Town Center location. What we got was exactly what we expected; as such, we've been back another time since and will probably be semi-regulars here. So I would go between Monday and Thursday and try to catch their happy hour which is between three and seven promptly! And I recently went twice I used to go all the time after my work shift. On my second to last visit I went with my friend Jazz for her birthday and we sat at the bar. It seemed pretty busy but our bartender was very attentive and tried his best! Our order got a little mixed up but they honored the happy hour price which was awesome. And he gave us extra ice cream an extra Oreo whipped cream on the Oreo pizookie !! We sat and sung the night away and ordered one thing from each category of the happy hour menu... They have happy hour items priced at at $3 $4 $5 ~$6 (well half of a mini pizza). We definitely made a few friends that night lol ! The last time I went to BJ's, I went with my boyfriend. We each tried to order a drink and they were out... (how are you a brewhouse and you don't have The seasonal brew that you're promoting)? Lol But they did have our second option! They also had cheese curds once upon a time, which is now off their menu and I miss them dearly... That was our absolute favorite thing! My boyfriend tried to order steak tips with shrimp scampi and they were out of the shrimp. Anyway after we got our food everything went smoothly and our server was very nice. Luckily they have a cool option to pay online... So he didn't have to wait for the check paid and rolled out.
