I love this park, mostly for sentimental reasons though. I lived across the street from here when I…read morewas little, up to 16, then I moved diagonally across the street, then again, diagonally, then it was pretty much my backyard til I was 47 years old. Then my kids played baseball here. For kids today, who don't know what a REAL playground is like, I'm sure this is fine, but it pretty much blows chunks compared to when I was young. This park rocked !!! Now it's mostly just good for baseball games. The benches are all falling apart, The swings are too short, There's not enough to do here these days, but, I Freaking love this park. This was my : childhood playground, teenage party place, A mommy's baseball game place to be, And now, a place to just sit & chill or watch other kids' baseball game. This will always be my home away from home. The concession stand had a big variety of candy, chips, drinks, Freezie pops, donuts, nachos, hot dogs, burgers, sausage, etc... on the grill & sometimes pizza .

So this park has had a bunch of changes. They have redone the baseball fields and put some more…read morestuff in the playground area. They took out lots of the trees, which is too bad from a shade flavors, but I think the trees were unhealthy, so probably needed. The little league baseball is back, and there weren't as many masks or as much social distancing as I would have preferred. But hopefully everyone is vaccinated. Update 122 2021

How have I not written a review for Milliken Mills Park? Well, let's fix this gap now…read more For years, I often got this park's name mixed up with Milliken Park at the southeast corner of Steeles Avenue East and McCowan Road. I still do occasionally. Milliken Mills Park is next door to Milliken Mills High School, behind Milliken Mills Community Centre and McDonald's. I need to think more M's here. I have often parked in the lot that the community centre, McDonald's, and the park all share. I'm either returning library books or eating in my car after grabbing some food at McD's. During this pandemic, the outdoor basketball court has been closed. The small playground is still being used by kids who were happily playing there on Saturday. Most folks are walking around the park to get some fresh air and exercise. It's a medium-sized park. The dandelions are out right now, all fuzzy and white. In the wintertime, many kids are tobogganing here. The hills are manmade and aren't exactly huge. However, they delight tobogganers, so it's all good. Washrooms are typically available at the community centre. I'm not sure if they are during this pandemic. It's a decent park. I should drop by more often. (219)

I've seen this park evolve over the past 10+ years, and its come a long way! It's a very family…read morefriendly park. During the summer and baseball seasons, its packed with a lot of soccer and softball games, dogs, and kids. During the winter you will see a lot of families just tobogganing here. Its also nice that it's quite an open park, not a lot of hidden areas so you're able to get a clear view of the surroundings. It's nice to see this park put to use all year round.

What a wonderful place to take in nine innings of marvelous AA MILB baseball!…read more This is, by no means, the most scenic ballpark in the world, but it is tight, and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. You're close to the action, no matter where you are seated. We were here on "Thirsty Thursday," when hot dogs, beer and popcorn are $2. These hot dogs are much better than average ballpark fare, and the beer was Yeungling. Not bad at all! The staff here is extremely friendly, and the parking -- albeit seemingly unavailable and crowded in the streets and lots surrounding the ballpark -- was easy peasy. I've been to hundreds of baseball games across the country over the past 30 years. While I've never had a bad experience, this was one of my better ones. Go Seawolves!

I've been meaning to get to UPMC Park in Erie, PA for years and finally managed to visit recently…read more As far as AA-level stadiums go, UPMC Park feels a bit more built up (at least by comparison to others that I've visited)... a good amount of open space, a nice team store, and the field is viewable from the concourse area. I know there were some upgrades in recent years, and also that the netting was also extended (a friend of mine attended some games previously and mentioned feeling super nervous because numerous foul balls were getting hit into the stands along the base lines and there wasn't netting at the time). It doesn't have its own parking lot, but I parked in the garage nearby and it's easy to just walk across the street to the stadium. The day game that I attended had, maybe, 35-40 people in attendance... but that's pretty par for the course for a matinee game during the week, especially one at the end of April. In line with that, it's probably unsurprising that multiple concessions were closed and the in-game media and entertainment was, well, pretty lacking. That being said, there's a certain level of appreciation you can have for the game when you're watching a minor league game in a stadium like this... a kind of intimacy that you don't get when attending a game at a major league stadium. A minor league stadium worth checking out at least once.
