I just got a filling today and by goodness was the most enjoyable filling I have ever had. The doctor was communicating to me the entire process, I never felt any pain and was amazing! I found her to exhibit the highest quality dental skills, excellent communication skills, thoughtful, great listener, provided options, empathetic and compassionate, clear and straight forward and very reassuring for my implant procedure. She patiently answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. I initially was very worried at 79 years of age to pursue implant surgery. Been going to this dentist for over 18+ years. I lived this office & even Dr. Auxier. Once Dr. Kubelka retired & Dr. Auxier took over. The level of care went down. Now they refer you out for root canals but she's done them in the office when the other Dentist was there. You constantly have to go back-and-forth between her & an endodontist office. It gets pricey, going back & forth. Also, my kids have always gone there and they got new staff and the older dental assistant was extremely mean & rude to my kids. My kids never even made a peep, but she was telling my kid about the boy who cried wolf. That was the last time I ever took my family to that office. Also, they overbuild me and wouldn't do any treatment unless you paid upfront. And then I had to go over there and get part of the payment back because they overcharged me and I found out when my dental insurance had mailed me the statement. I wish the office was the way it used to be, but it's no longer family friendly in my opinion. read more

I spent two years being evaluated by her on the best treatment for me because I was a complicated case. Although, my cases was complicated, she told me she could do the work but it would take some time. After I pressed her for the amount of time it was taking and the various referrals she had sent me to, all of a sudden, I needed a prosedonist. I was referred out in the mist of a 4 teeth temporary bridge falling out. Had to google to find an emergency dentist because there was no response from her. I felt betrayed by her after we agree finally that was really not qualified to treat my case but the way she renieged on the agree if I had an emergency on the next 30 days, I could call her. Review from a dental chicken!! I went on Friday to get my teeth cleaned and a check up. They had a few brief questions to clarify if I was healthy and not A risk or AT risk for Covid19. They took my temperature and gave me hand sanitizer. I felt very secure in thier precautionary procedures The hygienist was gentle and thorough, explained the new PPE procedures and I flet ready for my cleaning! My teeth felt GREAT!! The Dentist came in and noticed an old filling was wearing thin and I had a small cavity. I returned Monday for filling and although I was nervous, that melted away soon after she began. Doctor was very patient and explained each step she was taking. I get nervous with the sound of the drill but I had ZERO pain or discomfort. I must say first time Ever in all my years going to dentists. I never thought I'd say that I look forward to my 6 month check up. I would fly across state lines to see Dr. Laura Auxier and the hygienist Krysia. We've had multiple procedures done here and Dr. Auxier is very transparent and honest as they come. She has a good reputation in her own industry too. Today even, she showed me what my cavity looked like (shown below) inside the tooth right before she took it out. I actually feel like they care for me as my own family. Even Elsa at the front and now Martha who's new make me feel so welcome. We had a mix up with our insurance during Covid being switched from an PPO TO HMO and I literally came in a total CRYING wreck and full of tears from a bill I thought was 8k dollars (LOL) and Dr. Auxier herself calmed me, and fixed it herself. She even called me once after a procedure on a SUNDAY to check in on a tooth, she's kind to her staff and can work all those areas herself too, Pretty impressive. She done so much and even saved and built up a tooth for me without needing to crown it. She will SAVE your teeth at all costs and can fix any bite issues you have, So speak up for your best care as with any dentist. She even blanketed a sensitive tooth on the opposing side during my cavity procedure today bc it was soooo sensitive, and will wait patiently for you if you need a break. I really appreciate that. Miracle worker! Adilene her assistant is really nice too and made me feel better about the staining on my back teeth. Idk how Dr. Auxier builds teeth without molding them but she's amazing at shaping you teeth, haha. I'm not as afraid of shots now as well since she numbs you topically before she even shoots you up and will keep numbing you until your comfortable like 3x if necessary (me every time). Me and my husband both agree across the board. Our first experience was with Krysia and she is the most light handed hygienist ever and is really good about not agitating sensitive teeth. Request her if your family members hate the dentist for a cleaning. We needed a lot of work. My husband refused the dentist for years until I convinced him they wouldn't hurt him and he's happy he came. The last time I wrote a review was in 2016, so I thought I would give an update. I just had an appointment with Dr. Kubelka yesterday to get a crown. I've been going to Dr. Kubelka for almost 30 years!!! And still to this day, Dr. Kubelka is AWESOME and AMAZING!!! 5 stars is not enough for his professionalism, patience, expertise, guidance, the welfare of his patients, and the professionalism and courtesy of his staff. My favorite hygienist is Susan. I love the way she cleans my teeth. She's very thorough and professional. And I will say this again and again: Dr. Kubelka is all about improving dental health, as he keeps updated on all the new aspects of the dental world. He listens to what you have to say, addresses options, makes sure your are comfortable at all times, and explains the procedure while it's in progress. If you have any questions, he makes sure you completely understand the procedure, as well as your options. He makes recommendations that are in his patients best interest. I've sent my husband to Dr. Kubelka and he is pleased. We recently had an urgent issue and it was after hours. I called and left a message for Dr. Kubelka. He called me back that evening and we got things taken care of. Dr. Kubelka goes above and beyond the call of duty. I wasn't born with enough enamel on my teeth and I've had cavities my whole life because of it, unfortunately. Let's face it, no one (that I know of) enjoys going to the dentist, but Dr. Kubelka is a great, and I mean GREAT dentist to go to. I've tried other dentists in the past, but there is a lot to be said about Dr. Kubelka in a good way: 1. He always explains what he will be doing or what is happening with your teeth--explaining x-rays, etc.--without talking in dentistry jargon. 2. When you schedule your appointment, he is always on-time. Never had to wait more than five minutes (if that) and I've been going to him for years. 3. The staff is very nice and personable. 4. And just like what other reviewers have said, he cares about his patients. I wish there was a clone of him down in San Diego because before him, I absolutely dreaded going to the dentist, but with him it's such an easy experience. Highly recommend. read more

I love Dr. Kubelka and the wonderful staff that make up his office! From the moment I walk in, I'm greeted by Tiffany at the front! She is so cool and easy to talk to! My family just loves her! Definitely a big improvement from the people who used to be in the front! Then there's the hygienist Gina! I LOVE Gina! She is the best hygienist ever and so friendly! I've been going to this dentist office since I was a little girl! Dr Kubelka is pretty swell himself! I did have a negative encounter with Dr Miller when I was younger so I don't know how he is now. But Dr Kubelka is in the business of caring for your teeth! He doesn't want to make his patients spend unnecessary costs if there is a way to save or repair any damages done to your teeth! He is all about being cost effective and looking out for the best interest of his patients! I will continue going here until there is some odd reason why I wouldn't be able to! I have been going to this dentist since I was a child. They are always very honest and straight forward with you. You can tell that they value their patients and do not try to do any "high pressure" upsells like you will get at most cosmetic dentistries. They are very conservitive when it comes to dental care and would NEVER do a procudure that was unecessary. I actually tried to switch dentists once to get something closer to my work (since Los Alamitos is very far from my job in lake forest). The new dentist tried to tell me I needed 10K in dental inlays/onlays and a bunch of other unnesesary procedures so i quickly returned to Dr Kubelka who told me that none of those services where needed and that he wouldn't do any of them on him own family members. I was relieved to be back "home" where I know I can trust my dentist! I have recommeded this place to MANY friends and family members and will continue to do so. Also, I have never had any crazy billing issues as many of my friends have had at their dentists office. The billing is efficient and they understand how the insurance works and know how to bill correctly. This is truly a RARE thing to find with dentist offices these days! read more

My husband and I have been going here for years. Now that we have two young children, we bring them here for their 6 month dental check ups. The hygienist (Krysia), and Dr. Kubelka, were gentle, kind, warm, and pure magic with my children. Of course, there was a toy box for them at the end of their visit too! They even sent the kids follow up letters welcoming them to the practice, which is a personal touch many offices don't offer. I was traveling and pulled a crown off. It was Good Friday and I knew of no dentist in the area. Chestnut Dental was recommended by Pete and Cecilia Sandoval as they are patients at Chestnut Dental. I called after hours to get an appointment. Monday morning I was contacted by the office, an appointment was set for that afternoon. They reinstalled my crown. I found the staff and Dr. Kubelka to be the most professional and competent. I was treated with the greatest courtesy. I would highly recommend this Office for all of your dental needs. This office is fantastic. Reasonably-priced and awesome dentists. I have been going for years and have never had a bad experience. Most recently, I had a small cavity in my molar. Dr. Laura was able to fill it without causing me any pain even without anesthetic. Unbelievable. They don't accept my not-so-good DMO insurance from my work, but since this office is so great, I don't even mind paying out of pocket for their services. With all the quack dentists out there, do yourself a favor and get an appointment with this honest/trustworthy dentist group next time you need any dental services. Last year, we took our 6-year old child to Dr. Kubelka for routine teeth cleaning. Although, I knew there was nothing wrong with our son's teeth, Dr. Kubelka suggested and insisted on performing a needless dental operation to pull some of our son's teeth because he said our son's teeth were "overcrowding". I stepped in and stopped his insistent of this dental operation. I informed Dr. Kubelka that our son's teeth were fine and there was no medical emergency that called for such needless dental procedure which would require more and more surgical operations over the lifetime of the child as a result of the teeth pull that he wanted to do. I further informed Dr. Kubelka that our 6-year son's teeth were "Baby teeth" some of which would naturally fall off to be replaced with permanent teeth, at which point his teeth will align themselves naturally and accordingly. I also informed Dr. Kubelka that our son was still sucking his thumb and that I belief his teeth (even the "baby teeth") will align themselves after he stop sucking his thumb. I also brought it to the attention of Dr. Kubelka that our 6-year child has not fully developed his 32 set of teeth and that all of his molar teeth have not shown up yet. His premolar teeth were just beginning to come up. As such, I informed Dr. Kubelka that I wanted to take a wait-and-see approach and let nature take its course, and all we wanted was teeth cleaning for that visit. After much back and forth debate and discussion, Dr. Kubelka finally agreed to back off from recommending needless teeth removal of my son's teeth which he confirmed upon my questionings, would result to several surgical procedures over the lifetime of the child. Less than a month after that visit, our son stopped sucking his thumb, and needless to say, his teeth simply align themselves. I WAS RIGHT!, just as I knew. On January, 25 2015, my son went in again with his mother for yet another regular routine teeth cleaning. This time Dr. Kubelka insisted on yet a different needless procedure, but this time cavity filings. He said our son's teeth have cavity. The problem is our son doesn't have cavity. A photograph taken the day after this visit, of his teeth shows no cavity, whatsoever. I called Dr. Kubelka on January 26, 2015, and asked him how does a 7-year child have cavity especially since he has been restrained from candies since birth. Dr. Kubelka first tried to act as though he didn't know who I was. I asked Dr. Kubelka to explain to me, the child's father, why he (Kubelka) was persistent on performing needless dental procedure on my son and why the urgency to do so when in-fact there was no medical or dental need for such or any surgical procedure. Needless to say, these questions did not sit well with Dr. Kubelka. Rather than answer my questions, the phone call went into a heated shouting match and insults. I informed Dr. Kubelka that I was concerned about his conducts and professional standard of care and that he is not to touch my son, again. Two weeks later I received a call from the "Emergency Social Services" informing me that there was an anonymous complaint filed again me regarding my refusal to allow a dental operation on my son. It was later confirmed that the complainant was Dr. Kubelka. Apparently, Dr. Kubelka, rather than accept the fact that I will not allow him to perform a needless dental operation on my son, especially after he, having been wrong on both instances, decided to cowardly and anonymously file a complaint with the "Emergency Social Services" against me in an effort to remove me from my rightful fatherhood, so he can gain access to my son and perform his needless surgeries on my son. I find Dr. Kubelka's conducts are appalling, unprofessional, insulting, outright unintelligent, and below the standard of care as required of him and those of his peers in the dental community. The 5 star reviews on here are wonderfully written and TRUE. This is a wonderful dentist and terrific staff. They have taken care of my elderly parents and myself for almost 10 years. When my mom's health and mind were failing, they were gentle, kind and patient with her (asking the same questions and telling the same stories over and over). Tiffany ROCKS!!
