I recently completed my Sure Smile orthodontic alignment journey with Dr. Chirco and her staff, and they were always very welcoming and knowledgeable every step of the way. I also have a very busy work schedule and health issues that would occasionally require me to reschedule our monthly visit.... Dr Chirco is the really great! My teeth are in excellent condition because of her. She made it easy to switch out my old silver fillings for white ones at a reasonable price. She's a little more expensive than other dentists but it's the going rate for the most part in the Seal Beach/Los Alamitos area. Because my teeth are in excellent condition, she allowed me to negotiate a rate for ongoing treatment care with the hygienist. The reason I stopped coming here was because I moved and my favorite hygienist moved onto a different career. read more

The staff (front desk, hygienists, dentists) is professional and very friendly. I've had my fillings and deep cleaning done here. I appreciate they tell you how much insurance will cover and what I will need to pay before doing the services. They text you to remind you of upcoming appointments so you don't forget. This dental practice isn't pushy; nor did they try to persuade me into getting work done that is not necessary. I feel like I am in very good hands at this dental practice and I highly recommend this place. I'm a new patient to this place; and I was experiencing sensitivity on one tooth. I called and left a message during their after hours. Dr. Chirco was very responsive and sympathetic. She was courteous enough to call me back right away and she saw me the next business day. I felt very at ease with how well the dental practice is following health and safety guidelines. Prior to check-in, patients complete a covid pandemic disclosure, call the office prior to entering; and temperatures are taken upon check in. The office is very clean and they run a high end air purifier. My room was also very clean. And of course all of the staff wears protective face masks & gloves. After my initial consultation, I returned a couple of times for my checkup, teeth cleaning and fillings. Barbara took my x-rays. She was very gentle and I liked the comfortable inserts she used for the xrays. They weren't the typical old school cardboard material ones that hurt gums. She also used a hand held xray camera. Alexi did my tooth cleaning. Wow! She was very gentle and thorough. I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Chirco is also very thorough and gentle. I really appreciate how caring she is; and takes the time to listen and make sure I am happy and comfortable with the work she does. She was very gentle when applying the anesthesia. She was also gentle when doing the fillings. I am very happy with the work she did. My fillings came out great! The lady at the front desk who handles the insurance and payments is very courteous and efficient. I'm very happy to have found Dr. Chirco in my in network dental insurance plan. I've had great dental care from Dr Chirco since becoming a patient there about 3 years ago. Everyone at the office have always been extremely friendly and helpful. Right before Christmas last year, I had a dental emergency on a Saturday. I was leaving for Chicago the next day to visit family, and thought that I may have to go to the emergency room. After my previous dentist retired, I started searching for a new dentist and so happy I that I found Dr. Chirco! The office is welcoming and professional and it is actually possible to speak to a "live person" when calling the office. Last October, after my regular dental cleaning, Doctor Chirco wanted me to switch silver fillings to white because of her preference. I ended up with horrible unidentified tooth pain and headache for months, including Christmas. Also my real teeth was being shaved very sharp around the edge during the procedure. I was very disappointed since they don't grow back. Then Doctor Chirco suggested root canal option, which was too much for me to handle, from a unnecessary fillings change to root canal. Although she was trying to see me every week to help, I had hard time to trust her. In addition, I have seen her hygienist changing tools without gloves few times, even after I pointed out the concern first time. My five year old had a dental check up with doctor Chirco, but she has not informed me that my five year old has cavities until I took him to another dentist nearby a week later. This is the first time I had such bad experiences with a dentist. I will not go back there again. read more

I have been going to for 3 years, the office treats me like a friend instead of a patient. Dr. Chirco thoroughly exam and provides options: never pushed into "nice to do procedures" or rushed me, sincere ethical, does amazing jobs on procedures (fillings, crown). First time here based on Yelp reviews. Went in before the Holiday with a horrible toothache. Upon my initial consultation, it took way more time for the two nurses to figure out their "new system they haven't been trained on" turning on and off computer. Why as a patient am I sitting in the chair experiencing this? I value my time. Its incredibly frustrating being sold by someone when you've worked in sales your whole life. The dentist herself keeps giving me alternative options that seem scary, "SEEING A GUM SPECIALIST" or "BEING PUT UNDER" once it was clear I didn't wanna pay the 4k for the bridge and a tooth removal. It turns out, after going to another dentist, I didn't need a tooth removal and spent a lot less $ and STILL got a bridge for the previous missing tooth in my mouth next to the one that hurt. If you're willing to pay for a doctors office, new furniture, new equipment that her staff ADMITTED THEMSELVES they hadn't been trained on, go here. Glad I got a 2nd opinion. Wait.....did I just like a dentist?!? I did, and I actually had fun at her office! I called about 4 other places before I found Dr Chirco, and I'm so glad they were all incompetent and either couldn't book an appointment or answer a phone properly. Dr Chircos staff was polite and professional from the first time they answered my call. They are even more amazing in person. The office was in a nice complex and was very clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. But let's talk teeth and money. They took my insurance and verified everything. I felt comfortable with the prices they quoted me, as I felt like previous dentists had been suspiciously expensive. Dr Chirco took the time to explain everything to me, she is very easy to talk to and is very knowledgeable. She did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and went beyond the standard cleaning because it had been a while since I had a dental visit. I'm very disappointed with my experience with the office. After doing a lot of research, I contacted the office to schedule an appointment. They confirmed they were in network with the great PPO dental plan I have however have zero appointments available. Seriously, they can't even book me weeks out? I explained how I had gone through extensive cancer treatment last year and am having issues with my teeth due to treatment and medications I have to take. I asked for a referral somewhere since I cannot have just any dentist work on my teeth and she said no, she couldn't recommend anyone. Basically telling me I'm SOL. She wasn't even kind about it. So glad I switched to Dr. Chirco after seeing my previous dentist for 20 years. During her very thorough exam, she told me how nice my teeth were and that she could tell that I take good care of my teeth at home, this caught me by surprise because my old dentist would always tell me that my teeth were bad! I've always been a little self conscious about my teeth even though I've spent thousands of dollars on braces, cleanings, etc. with my previous dentist but she made me feel more confident with my smile! Dr Chirco is gentle and has cured me of my fear of dentists. I used to have to bring a stuffed animal with me as a security blanket of sorts for my few visits but she was able to make me feel so comfortable, my stuffed animal can stay home now! I have known Dr. Chirco for quite some time and have received cleanings from her whenever I can schedule an appointment when I am in town. The last time, she informed me that I had a cracked molar and that my silver metal filling really did need to come out. She, unfortunately, did not have time but strongly advised I visit a dentist in my neighborhood to get it done. I, being human, ignored her advice. Last week, I made an unexpected trip out to southern California, and called up Dr. Chirco to see if she had a spot available. She did, and she told me "Friday, I'll book you for two hours." TWO HOURS???? Ok. NO need to hyperventilate. I went in with my 8 month old baby (I needed moral support), and she was immediately whisked away in her stroller to be cooed at and entertained. I was promptly seated for xrays. The assistant (I'm sorry I forget her name!) was very friendly and answered my many questions (what's that spot? why is that darker?). Then came The Drilling. No, j/k-first came The Shot. Thankfully Dr. Chirco numbed the area first, and was prompt in her warnings "it will be a pinch." I made horrible faces, but it didn't really hurt. Now-for The Drilling. You know what's the worst part of the dentist? The sound. The whiiiiiiiirrrr sound that gets in your ears and, and the flying tooth dust, and the water, and the sucking, and everything else that gives you the heebs. They were all there, except...the drill noise was surprisingly soft! I asked Dr. Chirco about that (is it all in my head?) and she explained that the motor on her drill is much softer than traditional drills. Not even an hour later, I was out of the chair with a brand new filling, I was in no pain, and no sensitivity of the tooth! Dr Chirco makes sure she is up to date on the latest procedure, the latest tools, and most importantly, makes sure that her office is there to put you at ease. We didn't realize just how great Dr. Chirco and her staff were until we enrolled in Medicare. Dr. Chirco's office was not part of our Medicare network through Delta Dental. So, we tried several other "in-network" dentists only to discover how mediocre some dental offices can be. Clearly, all dentists are NOT the same - and the quality of procedures, even simple cleanings, can vary dramatically from one to another. Dr. Chirco and her staff are excellent - and the quality of care is always superb. One example: Dr. Chirco allows her hygienists up to a full hour for a cleaning, while my Medicare dentist takes only 20-30 minutes and seldom uses a hand tool for detailed scaling. The difference is striking -- and it matters to me. While we do take advantage of subsidized dental care offered through Medicare, we regularly come back to Dr. Chirco (on an "out of pocket" basis) for an annual cleaning and any of the more serious dental work we require (e.g. cavities, crowns and cosmetic work). We greatly appreciate the quality of her work and the professionalism of her office. read more
