Because of my son's age, we were referred to a pediatric dental specialist. As a parent, I trusted that referral without hesitation. I believed that a provider I respected would recommend another office that shared the same values of professionalism, transparency, and patient-centered care. I took time away from my responsibilities as a mother of three children, arranged our schedules, and attended the pediatric appointment with the referred provider. The visit lasted less than 20 minutes. The dentist briefly looked in my son's mouth, confirmed what had already been documented by Dr. Hatem's office, and instructed us to return at a later date for treatment. No X-rays were taken, no procedures were completed, and no actual treatment was provided. Before the follow-up appointment arrived, my son began experiencing pain and needed immediate care, so I sought treatment elsewhere and canceled the future appointment well in advance. To my surprise, I later began receiving calls stating that I owed approximately $142 for that consultation visit because insurance had not paid the claim. As a parent, it was incredibly frustrating to receive an unexpected bill for a brief appointment that provided no treatment and essentially reiterated information we already had from the original examination. What disappointed me most was not just the bill itself, but the realization that the referral I trusted led my family into an experience that lacked the transparency and consideration I had come to expect from Dr. Hatem's office. I still believe Dr. Hatem is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. However, as a mother of three, my time, finances, and energy are not unlimited. I depend on healthcare professionals to guide my family toward providers who will not only deliver quality care but also treat families fairly and communicate honestly about costs and expectations. I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

Throughout the whole process, from my consultation to the actual day of grafting, Dr. Arima was excellent. He was patient, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I was nervous going in but he and his wife (Judy, very nice lady who works at the front desk) made me believe everything would be fine. What I probably like best is the trust factor that is there with this doctor. I feel like I can ask him anything and everything and he will answer in a genuine, professional manner. After I came home from the procedure, I called his office again to ask some more questions and he even gave me his personal number to make sure he was available over the weekend if I were to have any urgent matters. I don't know any doctor who has done that before.

The hygienist was new. I was discussing some work that was done at the office and she disagreed with me. This was the first time I met her. I had to reassure her that I did get the work done at the office but was met with a tone that she did not agree with my statement. Not a big deal. I ended up needing a crown. Dr William had to give me shots in the back of my mouth. This is hard for me and I could barely stay in the chair while she administered the shot. We made it through that and the tooth was set up for the impression and the crown. I paid in full as I left that day. A short time later, I got the message that the crown was ready. I get the usual message with a disclaimer about charging me if I canceled late or didn't show. I was hesitant to answer. Next day, got the same message. I got a message the next day and responded. Within 30 minutes, I got a call that the crown was not finished and the appointment had to be rescheduled. I had to reschedule my day off but Dr William went on vacation. I got a message to schedule a time. I had to ask about the shots as I was sure Dr William said that I would need some to fit the crown. I got the reply back, "not that we don't trust you but we have to ask the doctor." That was the final straw. I texted them some time later to let them know I would no longer need their services. I never got the crown either. It wasn't worth it to me. Since Lakewood Smiles left Lakewood and changed their name, the office wasn't the same. The front office staff doesn't meet the high standards they had when they were in Lakewood. It was the little things over time that added up to my leaving.

Rossmoor Was recommended to me by a family member when prior dentist was no longer in network for my insurance. From my first visit I knew that I had found a good place. Dr. Vu is a very kind and gentle dentist. He always has a smile on his face and tries to put you at ease. The dental hygienist who regularly does my teeth cleaning is also very kind, skilled, and very friendly. She is always friendly and chats with me while she cleans my teeth to put me at ease. Despite dentist visits not being something I look forward to, Dr. vu and his staff make the experience as pleasant as dentistry can be. The office itself is clean and organized. The front office staff is also helpful and friendly. I'm glad I found an honest dentist I can rely on.

He doesn't believe in upselling and instead listens to you, offers what he recommends, what can be done, and how to meet in the middle if money becomes an issue. He never pressures unnecessary treatment either, they just form out what is recommended and you can decide what you'd like to have done from there. He does amazing work , extremely gentle and overall such a kind person. His work ethic sets a standard for the whole office, as all of the assistants & hygienists are so nice and understanding. They're happy to answer any questions and always try their hardest. One of the first things I look for in healthcare environments is cleanliness & this place checks all of the boxes. It gives a more "homey" vibe versus your typical medical office. They're also great with kids! The tv on the ceiling helps calm anxiety (even for adults) and they do a little show & tell with all the instruments which give a great introduction and builds a good foundation without the fear of dentists. There is almost never a long wait time and they try to set a perfect amount of time needed for your procedure. My mom has had 3 implants done, two crowns and a root canal and very happy with all the work done, including all of her emergency visits that they fit her into the schedule.

Waited 25 minutes with no acknowledgment from the receptionist or doctor. 2. I then asked the receptionist how much longer and she said maybe 5-10 minutes, umm...we do not have an open room. She did not sound truthful. 3. Her rationale was because I was early and that they don't normally have patient coming in early. Prior to my appointment, I received several text reminders which I confirmed via the link in the text. They should send appointment reminders to themselves! And in both cases, Dr. Lee has recommended pretty extreme treatment options. On both occasions we got a total of 3 pediatric dentist opinions, and both times Dr. Lee's recommendations were out of left field. I appreciated her taking the time to see him, but I didn't appreciate her scaring us, and our kid, into thinking he needed a crown on a baby tooth. Thankfully the office staff were kind but it was very crowded in the office. The chairs that the kids sat in were all pretty close together. So there wasn't much privacy between the doc and the patient, since the patient next to us could hear everything. Not to mention, the treatments Dr. Lee recommended supposedly needed to be done right away, but when we asked the front office what days they had available, they said they couldn't fit him in until July. The staff and the dental professionals were all kind, but I'm afraid this just isn't the office for us.
