From the moment I was told, "There is no heartbeat," I had a million decisions to make. Funeral Choices made that so much easier. I knew I wanted my baby to be cremated, so I could bring him home. It wasn't expensive and Tom, the director, personally handled my son. He referred to him by name and was very sensitive and caring to me and my husband. I even got to see my baby prior to cremation. He was laid upon a table in a nice room. I'd requested that his blanket be wrapped around him for the viewing. He looked like an angel and it's how I'll always remember my little guy. We were allowed to spend lots of time with him and no one ever interrupted or rushed us out. I hope that no one has to go through what I did, but if you do, please know that when it comes to cremation, this is where you want to go. Everyone I encountered was kind and thoughtful. That means a lot at a time like this.

They are incredibly respectful and more than helpful. They respond in a more than timely manner (I was very surprised at the quickness of response), they make you feel welcome and relaxed, and you can absolutely trust them with your loved one during a hard time. Brother Ahmed walked us through the initial process, explained the fee for the expedited death certificates, was willing to work with us a little on everything we were unsure of and the prices are very reasonable. He even prayed with us at the burial and continued to communicate very thoroughly and help us afterwards with receiving the documents and completing all of the paperwork and information. I participated in the washing of the body for both my grandmother and my mother and the two different women who helped were equally amazing. They made it an extremely beautiful and touching experience for myself and my family and helped give us some initial peace and ease the grieving process. I know that we'll return to them again next time we need to. I am truly grateful to them in every way I possibly can be and highly recommend them to anyone who needs this kind of service. The inside of the home is very updated and well maintained with contemporary decor all throughout. The chapel did not reek of any odors. The chapel was very well maintained, bright and uplifting lightening and plenty of sitting available. As you go near the restrooms they have pictures with scriptures for grieving. And beverages in the mini fridge. The floral arrangements was simply amazing, and we were pleased with the florist that they are contracted with, as our flowers continue to bloom and not wilter. Throughout the whole service, Matt was very respectful and handled the service with great diligence and did not rush us out. He made sure our guests were comfortable and even offered beverages etc, before the service and always asked my family member questions and repectfully reminded us of our itinerary without being pushy. The second part of the service, was at our final destination, in which we had a nice canopy, privacy screen, and a nice seating arrangement everything was just amazing and a beautiful homecoming service for my family member. 5+ stars on everything and I highly recommend this place.

Having to call around to understand the process and costs associated with cremation (and some of the quotes and attitudes at other places were insanity) while also grappling with and grieving the loss of our daughter, was incredibly hard. Money and King stood out as the ABSOLUTE best funeral home I talked to. They were so compassionate, clear about process, and were incredibly kind with cost, and once we had selected them, they took care of every detail and actively kept us up to date. Our daughter was also at a military hospital in MD and they navigated all of that without any extra work on our parts. In a really difficult situation, they were a God-send and I cannot recommend them enough. From the first time I called to the moment we came to pick up her ashes, they were amazing, generous, and kind. When my mother was put into Comfort Care, I had researched cremation services and pretty much knew…read morewhat I wanted before I interviewed (in person) four crematories/funeral homes. Two of them failed to disclose all their fees until I asked additional questions (based on my research), one of them was double the price of the other three, and the fourth one was Direct Cremation Services. I met with a gentleman named Kip, who didn't try to upsell me, and gave me a package that met my requests. The costs were significantly lower than the other three places. He assured me that Direct Cremation Services would take care of everything, and explained both the logistical process and the paperwork/payment process. When my mother passed away, on a weekend, Kip returned my (notification) call, emailed me the link to take care of the documents, and immediately send his team out to transport my mother's remains. He told me the paperwork could wait until Monday. Thereafter, everything went as promised, and I picked up my mother's "cremains" yesterday. An unbelievably smooth process during a difficult time. I can't recommend this place enough.

Having never been through the experience of managing the passing of a loved one, I didn't know what to expect. I arranged for DC to provide services. A few days later I bunch of emails with tasks assigned out of the blue. I called to ask about them and was directed to my funeral director who told me those were optional. A couple days later I got a contract and a payment link. Again, I called to question and let the director know we wanted to have an urn for the ashes and that I needed everything shipped to me. Shortly after, I got a new contract and a new payment link. Days passed and I called again to get status. Still waiting. A few days later, I called again. Should be done by end of week. See a pattern? No contacts by DC. Every call was made by me. The end of the week came and I finally got a call. My loved one was ready to be picked up. Wait, what? I paid for shipping. " Oh yeah, that's what I meant". Really?? Anyway, the company provided the service I paid for but communication was non existent. I don't think I ever got a "sorry for your loss" from our funeral director. Given the industry the operate in, I would have expected a little more.
