The drive to the place is dreadful, I must admit. No matter what I'm taking, 91 or 5 freeway, getting there stresses me out. And it doesn't help that I hate dental appointments in general. But, let me tell you why I like Dr. Tran. A couple of years ago I went to some fancy schmancy west LA dental office that wanted me to do all these things that would've cost me over $3k. And this was after years of dentist visits every 6 months in my old neighborhood. I was pretty sure I was taking care of my teeth pretty well. Not according to this west LA dentist. I wanted a second opinion, so I asked around and got a referral to Dr. Tran. Yes, I hesitated because of the distance, but I wanted to make sure I found someone I could trust. And yes, I now have full trust in this guy. Let me tell you about my favorite dentist Dr. Tran. To be honest, his office is not the prettiest. The decor is dated and may not be the most attractive one out there. But, hey, gorgeous dental office won't guarantee you healthy teeth and honest dentist. Dr. Tran really takes time to explain to you what's going on and what needs to be done. He's gentle. He's considerate. He doesn't overcharge. He doesn't overbook. And he has a great team of people who are super friendly and competent. What else can you ask for from a dental office? Nada. Yes, I'm always going to hate driving there, and I'll never wholeheartedly enjoy visiting a dentist, whoever it may be. But at least, I'll know I'll be in good hands when I go see Dr. Tran. read more

I personally drive all the way from Glendale, CA to see Dr. David Tran and his staff because of the excellent care and first class service I receive every single visit. He educates you on proper dental care and recommends treatment that is essential not over the top. He involves you on the decision making process as well. I feel completely at ease. I know that I'm getting excellent care which I've received during a deep cleaning, routine cleaning and getting a crown done. I never feel any discomfort as he has a very gentle touch and always asks if you are feeling any pain throughout a procedure. I have been a very happy customer! I'm one of the rare people that actually like dental visits. You get your teeth cleaned and maybe go home with some hygiene swag. What sets Dr. Tran apart from the other dentists I've been to is that he really takes time to explain what's going on with your grill. That's awesome if you're someone who is curious or likes to be informed. Information and education, to me, are just as important as getting your plaque scraped off. WOW, this place is truly amazing. The staff here are so friendly and nice. They treat you like family. I usually get nervous going to the dentist, but not at Dr. Tran's. Who knew going to the dentist could be a pleasant experience? We've been coming to see Dr Tran for a few years now. He's thorough and patient. Always explains what he's doing and why. He gave me advice on picking an ortho when I was suffering from tmj which I'm very thankful for. I have a bunch of really old filings that he recommended to be refilled. It was a little bit longer than my usual cleaning and Dr Tran was really considerate of my comfort level. He asked if my jaw needed a break and if I was doing ok. I mean, nobody enjoys teeth drilling, so I appreciate the sympathy. I remember as a kid, having my mouth pried open forcefully and having so many objects stuffed uncomfortably in my mouth for long long periods of time. Maybe dentistry has advanced since then, but seriously Dr Tran is worlds away from that. So thank you Dr Tran, for taking care of me and also my 3 year old! Dr. David Tran is the dentist me and my family have been going to for years. He simply pays attention to the details, is patient (and willing to explain anything you don't understand) and executes perfectly. I went in about a year ago to fill my front tooth (which I chipped years ago) with a front crown. I bring my 6 year old girl to Dr. Tran. Even though we live in LA, we make the drive down to Anaheim to see him because she absolutely LOVES him, and the staff is amazing! In addition to regular cleanings and exams, Dr. Tran has given my daughter fillings on 2 occasions, and both times went super smoothly. I am a new patient of Dr. Tran's and I must say this is the best dental care I have ever had! I chipped my front teeth in 4th grade and didn't get them permanently fixed until my 1st year of college. About 3 wks later I was in a serious dirt bike collision which placed a hairline fracture through the front of my brand new crowns :'( I routinely get my teeth cleaned and take very good care of my teeth but had to wait 2yrs to get my teeth fixed because of the court process. At the OLD office I went to, they fixed them for me with great discomfort after installing my temporaries. Then a day after my real crowns were put in, the root died and my tooth turned black. I went back and had to have 2 root canals and then new temporaries/crowns. The crown then fell out about a month after and luckily was able to be replaced but then it fell out AGAIN in a wk, this time taking my real tooth with it. When i went back to my OLD dentist they prepped my third healthy tooth for a bridge without my knowing so now I have 3 teeth to worry about. This is important b/c this is how I came to Dr. Tran. Upset, frustrated, and my teeth were still not fixed! He was highly regarded by my fiance's family and so I went for an evaluation. Dr. Tran took such great care to understand the initial trauma to my teeth, and all the steps along the way to get me to him. He went over multiple different treatment possibilities and options that I didn't even know existed. As we started to narrow out all the options I didn't want he took great care to check back with me and make sure I was still comfortable with our decision and even communicated with an outside dentist who will be installing my implant for me. He even called me back on my phone after I left him a voicemail question and talked with me for a good 40min answering any questions I had regarding my treatment etc. Even more.... Dr. Tran asked a color matching specialist to COME TO HIS OFFICE to make sure my teeth would match correctly since I am only doing one implant and 2 crowns. I've always had to drive to the color specialists office! I was shocked! Now, 3 weeks out from my surgery date, I broke my temporaries into pieces and was too upset to go to class or work. Dr. Tran came in on his day off and arranged several personal family appointments around so that he could come look at my teeth and help get the temporaries to fit correctly along with his cheerful and extremely helpful assistant! (I'm horribly at names and can't recall it to memory at this exact moment). If I could just stress how wonderful my experiences have been with Dr. Tran with the short 2 months that I have been working with him!!! I am eternally grateful for his patience, understanding, explanations, clarifications, attention to detail, and understanding of cost as well as timeliness as I am getting married in February and need my teeth/gums to be healed.... I would highly recommend his services to ANYONE and am so glad to be apart of the "family" now as they treat everyone with the best of care as if they were their own Family. read more

Dr. Tran is an amazing dentist! He is not only very good at what he does, but also cares a lot about his patients. These days it is rare to find a health/dental care provider who actually takes the time to thoroughly explain a procedure and answer any questions before they begin it. I have gone through a few dentists in the past because I was unsatisfied with their care, but Dr. Tran is unlike any of them. He is the first dentist who takes the time to make sure I understand what is going on which helps me feel more comfortable during the dental visit. I remember the first time I was in his office I told him I have always been afraid of the dentist and he responded by letting me hold and examine all the dental tools that he was going to use on me during that visit before he started the procedure. Just that small gesture of allowing me to familiarize myself with the tools made me feel so much more comfortable during the procedure.
