I wrote a review about my Corvette on 4/1/2020. In June I received a response from Nick Illuminato, the Internet Manager. I have called at least 3 times, Nick is never there and never called me back. If he wants to he can call me at 631-439-4670. My question is if they're so concerned about Customer Service, why do most of their reviews show negativity. We purchased two vehicles from this dealership in the last two months. In both purchases, the sales rep and dealership have bombarded us post sale with requests for additional paperwork and issued threats to revoke rebates after we had signed contracts and taken ownership of the vehicles. The administrative and customer service departments are a disgrace. Our trade in loan was not paid due to 112 dealer error, we incurred penalties, had to manage communications directly with our former bank, and while trying to manage through we were informed by the customer service team at 112 that they are "in the business of selling cars" and the team was "too busy selling to assist" in correcting their administrative error. Although we love our new cars which were a huge investment for our family, I would never recommend 112 to anyone looking for a positive car buying experience. read more

Walked in with my wife and after a minute of looking at a traverse, Anthony Pavone greeted us and asked if he could assist us. What a blessing it was to have him as our salesman. Anthony is extremely knowledgeable on All vehicles . Asked what We wanted, and got us a much better deal than Atlantic Chevrolet. Anthony set us up with everything we were looking for, took the time to show this old man how to set up all the options in vehicle and download my phone on it. I will never look at buying another GM/ Chevy product again after today! My 1yr old truck doesn't go over 20mph and the service dept wont touch it til next week n wont provide me with a loaner car because there is no available n wouldn't even if they had one until the car is diagnosed with a problem and they won't pay for a rental car. Even if they had a loaner how would I get to work from now until next week!? They only pay for a rental car for up to 3 days we'll that doesn't help me. Never ever will I get another GM product. This will be my first issue with Chevy 112. Let me first say I have always bought my cars from this dealership. Purchased a new Silverado and Traverse just last year. I realize things are stressful, but that doesn't give the service desk people the right to make things worse with their attitudes. I made an appointment. It's my understanding that you make an appointment to be time productive. This service desk young man tells me .... it's going to be a few hours. Asked for a loaner... told they have none. I wanted clarification as to when car would be taken in. Guy takes an attitude that was not appreciated. Usually girls at counter are friendly and cooperative.... not this guy. Really stressed me out. If it wasn't for the cars issue I would have said screw it and walked out. It's a hard time for everyone.... I get it.... but if you're in a position of service.... just try to understand we are people that deal with your dealership and we don't need to be treated like we are a problem. read more

To be clear this review is specifically related to the SERVICE DEPARTMENT: Beware of the BS coupons you receive in the mail from CHEVROLET 112. My assistant was on the phone with them today trying to set up new front brake pads on her Chevy Traverse. She had speaker phone on so I heard the conversation. The coupon says "Most ACDelco Professional Brake Pads INSTALLED" $109.95. Service writer says "yes mam those pads will run you $289.00 including labor". So I chime in on her behalf. "The coupon says INSTALLED". The service writer says "yes but that does not include the labor". The coupon says "INSTALLED" If the brake job is $289.00 then say that don't mislead people! To add insult to injury, they told her if she needs rotors the price will be $529.00. A quick search online I found this on the Chevrolet Official Website: Big savings. Full stop. Stop with confidence when you need to with brake pad and brake service offers at your local Chevrolet dealer. I have been lied to and attempted to be placated. The has been no follow through for six months in replacing my bumper. I have been told "we are sorry" more time Ms than I can imagine AND still I have a damaged bumper. It's October. It was supposed be ordered and fixed in April. I was told that the manager was not on this Saturday only to call moments later and have Fran, the manager, answer and tell me she's in but she doesn't field calls until Mondays. The service desk women may be polite but I've been assured by Heidi several times that she'd call and make sure my bumper would be fixed. Again, I have never received a call, have had to persist and still have no resolution. I will be call corporate headquarters tomorrow. Months ago, you could have counted me as a present and future customer. No one seems to care to resolve such a simple matter that I have been promised over and again would be taking care of immediately. read more

This has been my second experience with Chevrolet 112. The first experience with Joe D. and Steve O. were great and the phenomenal customer service continued with Austin M. Austin has been by far the greatest help with trading in my soon to expire lease for a new lease. He's extremely patient and answered any questions I had. He thoroughly went through everything I needed to know about my new 2018 Trax. He's very knowledgeable and I highly recommend him to anyone. Went in for a lease. Got the best deal in comparison to other local competitors. However they seem to confuse me and my cosigner a great deal. The car registration was put in my cosigners name, when asked about it they blamed the DMV. Fine no big deal, until I started also getting letters in the mail and email about my lease ending in 5 months. AKA I started getting my cosigners info. Luckily all bills are still sent to me. read more

Sales team is decent when you're in person, but try ever getting help from them again after you buy a vehicle - good luck. Guys in parts are the unfriendliest people I've ever encountered. No one answers the phone, so you'll be transferred back to the same person over and over. You basically need an entire day off to deal with the simplest thing. I'd rather buy a bicycle than have to go to this dealership again. I finally talked to a manager and he basically told me I was shit out of luck in regards to a spare key they never gave me when I bought a truck. Spent 120 dollars on a key alone and then they told me I had to spend a couple more hundred to get it programmed. It should be illegal how much money they charge. I called a locksmith and got two keys for not even half the price and they work the same. read more

A service customer of over five years in addition to purchasing my vehicle at Chevrolet 112, when my vehicle was in their possession for service, multiple damages occurred and poor workmanship was performed. Upon picking up the vehicle, the window was left open and water shorted out window electronics (with the service manager standing right next to me), there was an outward dent in the door, a soft brake pedal feel, damaged to the door panel and shifter, all followed by the vehicle entered an anti-theft mode due to the water, which required BCM reprogramming. They replaced the window motor poorly which caused the window glass to be misaligned resulting in water seeping into the vehicle and air leaks while driving. To add to the mess, all of my key fobs were not synced to the vehicle computer. Mary Barylski, the service manager went back on her word about replacing all of the damaged interior pieces and later only agreed to replacing the shifter unit, she did not assist with the window adjustment needed due to their poor workmanship, and personally told me "don't come back" after we agreed that the dealership would provide me with new interior pieces for me to take and get installed by another shop. Several times, I asked to speak to the general manager Greg Galardi whom she said did not want to speak to me. She laughed at me when I asked to be put in contact with Bruce Nesenger, the owner. The majority of the time, Mary talked down to me, rolled her eyes, and was only friendly when I told her my vehicle was dangerous to drive due to the near inoperative braking system. Not once did I act unprofessional or rude towards her or her staff as I understand accidents happen and was a customer of theirs for purchasing and servicing of over five years, but constant negligence is unacceptable. I took my vehicle to the very friendly and helpful Chevrolet of Smithtown to have all issues fixed that were caused by Chevrolet 112, except for the damaged interior pieces. DO NOT take your car in for service at Chevrolet 112. Visit several other dealerships instead. Bruce Nesenger states in his frequently televised commercials "At Chevrolet 112, you will never be disappointed!" Which is 100% a lie and makes the Chevrolet brand look bad. Chuck, Chuck.... We are at 1 YEAR later and I never got a phone call back. I stopped in recently to see you and you said we would have it resolved after you talked to the tech guy. Unfortunately that day you called me to tell me that he wasn't in yet and you would get back to me. Well a week later after no call, I called you and left a message on your voice mail. Now it is another week gone by and still haven't heard from you. I'm so disappointed that I am getting the run around. I will be ready for my next car by the time this gets resolved ...if it does. Bad experience in the service department.After receiving a safety recall notice I made an appointment to bring in the truck after getting letter stating parts were now available. I dropped off the truck at 0900,at 1230 I get a call to come pick up the truck it's ready . I went in to pick up the keys and was told they were unable to service the truck because they didn't have the part and that they would call me when the parts in stock. Ok so my wife and I go to the 112 Chevy dealership partly because it's close to home and mostly because we kept getting these fake checks in the mail offering a real good trade in for our car. We went to the dealership to "Buy" not shop and told the salesperson we are buying a car today give us your best price and good trade in and we will buy. I was up front and told him I owed it to myself to go to another dealership and make sure I am getting a good deal. We were looking at the floor model and asked about it pricing, the sales person was not up front and did not tell us the car had 5 K miles he made it sound like it was brand new.....strike 1....... than I asked him what offers Chevy had on the 2018 Equinox and he said "None......strike 2...... than they low balled the trade in .......strike 3....... needles to say I bought somewhere else got a better trade in $1,500.00 more plus 2 Chevy offers worth $1,250.00 got a much better deal on a new not used car and was not lied to and treated much better. Any dealership that the salesperson has to keep running over to the manager to make the deal is up to no good stay away.......BTW I love the new Equinox WOW what a great car.......best car I ever owned.....I later found out they are part of the same group that owns Atlantic Chevy same bull shit unethical sales tactics.......they make you feel like they are doing you a favor selling you a car..........stay away ......find a family owned dealership you will be better off read more

Well, the guy that helped me was very cranky. When I go back I will NOT be dealing with him. I will wait for one of the women that seemed to be pleasant. I remember dealing with this guy when he worked for the jeep dealer and really didn't like him then either. He is just not a happy person. Besides that, he told me that there was nothing wrong with my truck. When we have the button on that recirculates the air on, we still smell everything that is outside. I mean everything! He tells me everything is fine with my truck. When I asked if the filter was checked he said no because it doesn't have that many miles on it. Well, maybe there is something wrong with the filter, but he didn't seem to care. I had to insist that it get looked at again. He reluctantly made an appointment for me on September 1st. Let's see what happens then before I decide to recommend the dealer to anyone. read more

Their F rating on BBB is no accident. Imagine you need a safe, reliable car for your family. Imagine being told by a salesman that he has just the right car - it's relatively new, low miles, airbags and a clean Carfax. Imagine you buy that car, then learn shortly afterward that the car was a FLORIDA RENTAL that went to auction TWICE after accidents with unibody damage. That's what happened to me at Chevy / Hyundai 112. I was shown (but not given) a Carfax for a used Kia, told it was a "just off lease, no accidents, really clean" car with low miles. The price was right in line with what KBB said the car was worth (if it didn't have a rental or accident history), so I bought it. Now it's trade-in time. When I ran the VIN at another dealership, the car's true history came up: two accidents (one with unibody damage) and it was a Florida rental car before being auctioned here in New York. Now I'm stuck with an un-sellable car that's way underwater because of its history. There is no way the dealership didn't know the car had two accidents and a rental history; it's their business to know. There were ways for Chevy / Hyundai 112 to address this issue after I informed the salesman and sales manager with this information. They did nothing, offered nothing, and the salesman outright told me "it's not like we're just going to write you a check". This was easily the worst car-buying experience of my life. Thanks Austin, Kevin and Todd for ripping me off - from the false history of the car to the financing, this dealership is committed to fleecing its customers and shamelessly telling them to f*** off when confronted with their misdeeds. read more

I have been a customer for decades...While the sales personnel are always a pleasure to deal with, the same cannot be said for the people in service. Slowly bur SURELY the service and the attitude get worse & worse. I have to say this dealership is the most UNPROFESSIONAL place I have ever encountered. Let me first start off saying I didn't buy my vehicle at this dealership because if I had went there it would have never left the parking lot. I currently own a 2016 Traverse I brought it there towed by the mechanic because of transmission problems on May 5th there Reeb the service manager was rude. They kept it there for almost two weeks before even diagnosing the car. I work as a visiting nurse so I pleaded with them to get me a rental since they didn't have one available they contacted HERTZ. Eventually we got the car only to break down a second time while on Route 495 with my two small children in the car. So we towed it there in which they took two weeks to fix when we had to bring it back a third time because the transmission fluid was leaking and the car was not running right. Needless to say I got a bill for $105 from hertz saying the dealership refused to pay which was incorrect because I even had documentation from Hertz stating they will pay as well as voicemail from Reeb. I figured I will discuss with Fran in the service department because she emailed me and sounded concern to my surprise she was just as rude as him. I am currently taking this up with corporate. Please don't give any business to this dealership!!! read more

Very deceptive & dishonest. I brought in an ad from a competitor for a 24 month lease on a new 2016 Equinox, the salesman Bob beat the advertised deal so I agreed. I came back the next day with my wife and the deal was presented to the sales manager. The down payment & monthly payment was slightly increased. We reluctantly agreed. The salesman Bob again went back to the sales manager and when he returned the car we wanted was increased again, significantly more by a couple thousand dollars. That was it, final offer because it was the only special offer bonus car that they had left. We walked out! read more

We were presented a deal and agreed upon it, then went to the financial department to sign all the papers and they tacked on extra fees, when I questioned Steve about the extra charges he said he didn't know what they were for and brushed off my concerns. This was the worst experience I have ever had with car service. I had my car towed here when it failed to start. I called the following day and I was told I would have an answer within one or 2 days. Those 2 days came and went and I received no phone call. The third day I called and was told that someone would call me by the end of the day with an update on my car. There was no phone call. The next day I called back and was told that my car had not even been looked at yet. It took until the sixth day of my car sitting on the lot before it was even looked at. When I finally got the car back they had fixed the problem of the car not starting which ended up being a minor issue relating to the battery. I drove it off the lot and now the check engine light is on and the car shakes when I start it. I popped the hood when I got home to find the cover of the fuse box laying upside down not even connected to the box. I will absolutely never return to this place and I will go out of my way to let others know that they shouldn't either. Thanks for nothing. I have since taken my car to another mechanic where he showed me there was a wire for the battery that was not even tightened, it was barely even connected. This could have fried the computer system. Poor work to go along with poor costumer service. Will be speaking to Chevy about this experience to express my concerns. Second update: 3 of 4 spark plugs were found to be loose which was causing the 2 of my cylinders to misfire. I'm absolutely disgusted with this. Hopefully Chevy has some integrity and takes care of the bill to replace these spark plugs that are now ruined. read more

Matt P, was my salesman and he made every single one of my preferences in a car happen, with patience and a smile. Matt followed through on every promise and there were absolutely ZERO surprises at the end. I felt zero pressure and left the place feeling satisfied and grateful. MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!! Purchased a 2019 pre-owned Cadillac Escalade from used car manager Todd. Within a few days noticed a defect in the grille and the hood was out of alignment. Waited weeks just to have the service manager Mary to take a picture of the grille. She was very unprofessional while taking pictures. My wife was witness to this. When I asked her about the alignment of the hood she dismissed it by saying it's because I must be because I open and close the hood to much. Again my wife is a witness. She made me wait ten days for appt to replace the defective grille. When I picked up my vehicle I spoke to Angela(very nice lady and professional). She told me everything is done and it took the tech over two hours to re align the hood. At this time and alarm went off in my head. I proceeded to bring it to two body shops who told me that the vehicle was in a prior accident and repaired. Well, the car fax was clean. I had the car a short while and noticed defects in the car quickly. They had this vehicle for 6 months in there lot and no one noticed. I will be honest and I received a phone call on two different occasions from Todd and Mary. Very unprofessional. They need a class in customer service. I felt very bullied by these two employees. I spoke to Wayne the sales manager whom was very respectful but told me there was nothing we can do. So your telling me they didn't disclose prior damage. I paid top dollar for the vehicle and this so called long standing company whom I have bought 4 cars from bullied me by these two individuals by saying you bought the car as is and what do you expect ya to do??? This is a very expensive vehicle and I have waited along time to buy one. I cannot tell you how frustrated and angry I am over this situation. They owe me an apology. And they also owe me some sort of compensation for buying a vehicle with prior damage. I will keep posting on social media and with the BBB until someone from this company reaches out to me with some sort of resolution without being bullied!!!!!!!! read more

Doesn't mean I wouldn't go back there if I was in the market for a car. I did contact him by email, just to see what he had to say, and of course he never bothered answering me.
