They had a promotion for Fiji Water buy 2, get 1 free so I grabbed 3 bottles. The cashier charged me $11.07 without asking me anything, like whether I had a membership or rewards account. When I asked why the promotion wasn't applied, a guy (I assume he was the manager) told me the rewards account had to be entered before charging. I asked him, "How is that my fault?" The cashier never asked me any questions, so how are customers supposed to know what they need to do? What made it worse was that they said they couldn't refund the money. No apology, no effort to fix it. Just poker faces and "there's nothing we can do." It's not even about the amount of money. It's the principle and the terrible customer service. I would give zero if I could. When the previous owner had this location things were great I use the touch less car wash. Came today. Got gas and car wash. But it is no longer touchless. I wont use the brush roller wash !!!! Went in. Asked for a refund. RUDE cashier. No refunds on anything U can call and complain. Trust me I will Called my bank. Refund given. Used to go here just for the car wash because it was truly touchless. Needed to do a little touch up cleaning after, but it was great for a quick cheap rinse. Went here recently and now the car wash has been modified and it's no longer touchless, there are some kind of vinyl/plastic things now instead of the cloth spinners that usually are in gas station washes. This review pertains to the Chevron at the corner of Bristol and Paularino next to Mitsuwa Market. It looks like the other low star reviews here are deserved, unfortunately. I work at the SNA airport occasionally and was looking for a touchless wash nearby. Found this one, and BONUS, it's a Chevron which I favor for my tiny four-banger turbo. There are enough pumps even if it's a little tight in there the way they have them arranged. I took one of the spots for a right-hand gas tank and the lady behind me had to drive all the way around to get her car aligned that way too. Gas was about what you expect for the time Q4 2021 at $5.25 for a gallon of premium in fairly upscale area. That's where my visit hit a pothole. I used my Chevron credit card at the pump and it tells me to "See Cashier." I thought WTF? Isn't that why I got their brand card? I sighed and headed inside. The lady there testily asked me how much to charge and I told her "I dunno. I'm filling the tank." She replied that I *had* to give her a set amount. I gave her my educated guess. Luckily, I guessed correctly and full up, I swerved my car around to find a "Temporarily Closed" sign at the car wash entrance. I have been coming here my whole life, basically. Ownership changed recently and things have really gone down hill. I had a free car wash I couldn't use anymore. The prices decreased so I just bought the express but it barely had any soap on it. Then I bought another one to actually clean my car and it had to take 2 washes to do it. Sometimes the car wash isn't even open and working. The drinks aren't self serve anymore. The frazil, iced coffee, and freal shakes are out of service. They are out of stock on so much stuff. It was worth paying the extra money for gas because of all the nice staff who treated you really well and the loyalty programs, but now its just another gas station and not worth going out of my way when nothing is in stock, the car wash sucks when its actually open, and you can't even serve yourself a drink anymore. read more

Finally found an ACTUAL automatic touchless car wash near Santa Ana OC. Searched every where and this one was the nearest one! Got so disappointed when I drove to 'touchless' car washes just to find out they were self wash car washes. I just bought my new car and was advised by people to not use car washes that use bristles cus they could scratch your car. Since I found hardly any reviews on Yelp about touchless car washes in the Santa Ana area I decided to write one to hopefully help other people in need of one. I had called ahead and asked about paying methods. If you're going to use cash you have to pay inside but if you're going to use youre debit/credit card then you can pay on the car wash drive through kiosk. FUN FACT: the worker told me if you keep your receipts and collect 5 you can go into the store and get your 6th wash free! The only down side (not a big deal for me) is that you have to wait in line (obviously) but I know some people HATE waiting. So if you're in a rush maybe this isn't for you. Took about 4-5 mins per car and about 75 seconds of air dry time. Hope the pics I provide help people! (Btw I had taken a video but for some reason yelp doesn't give me the option to pick read more

The plus stars are for the staff here. I would give the staff five stars if I could. Thanks for being so outstanding! The poor rating is because this is a gas station that I can't actually get gas at. The stupid pump modifications have made it so darn hard to pump. I see people leaning in, putting all their body weight on them just to get a few drops. I'm done fighting these pumps! I'll drive to the next block where that Chevron allows one to actually get fuel. read more

Today I was rushing home to tend to the needs of one of my needier clients. I was rushing on the 73 as I saw my miles left in the tank go from 20 to a measly 2. I was anxious and needing gas, but my eager clients awaited at my home 1 mile away. What is a lady to do? I had the gas devil and the gas angel on my shoulders, saying that I could make it, and NO! Don't do it! So, I succumbed, got gas at this leisurely station. Although clearly I didn't have time to go into the store, when I do it is always clean and nice. Was at Mitsuwa next door. Our daughter has not experienced a car wash before and we were low on fuel. Dang, that is a long line for the car wash. It is touchless which is a plus. I don't care for clumsy, heavy, filthy, dreds dragging all over our SUV. This unit excels. It would help if our vehicle had had a decent detail in recent years. If you have some paint protection, i.e. detail, wax job, etc. the water will sheet right off the vehicle. No fuss, no muss. Timer, timely. Wash, sufficient. Cost, reasonable. Result, satisfactory. Came here for an express car wash because some stupid bird pooped on my windshield. Now they don't let you pay at the car wash machine but you have to go in to purchase it...which is pretty inconvenient indeed. On top of that it was probably the longest time I had to wait for an express car wash....there was three cars ahead of me but I waited about 35 minutes. They usually have a pretty long line too. The wash itself was okay but like with most express wash, the car doesn't dry completely and I end up with some water spots but that's not really a big deal since it was only a $6 dollar car wash....I don't expect it to be perfect for that price of course. Guess the only complaint is the inconvenience of not being able to pay at the entrance and have to stop the car and go in to purchase a ticket for the code. I don't know much about gas station convenience stores, but I had the most pleasant experiences at two in Costa Mesa. I wasn't driving- just in search of healthier snack foods (mostly nuts and water). The nighttime (I didn't get his name) salesperson at Chevron was so polite and friendly to everyone. He's cheerful, helpful, and has a good sense of humor. It's nice to be treated nicely. :) It's even better to acknowledge it. AND - they had several healthy snack choices (fresh fruit, yogurt, food). Their faulty pump just damaged my shoes because it wouldn't turn off. When I asked for a refund for the gas that ended up on the floor instead of in my gas tank, the attendant claimed that it was "only like 50 cents." Not at these astronomical prices, it was at least $2 worth! They should have credited back the entire purchase because of the damage caused, but whatever. In the end all I got from them was a buck and a terrible attitude! Not even a sorry! And the lazy attendants didn't even put up an out of service sign at that pump so it will probably happen again to the next person who doesn't want to fill up completely. read more

They have pretty advance looking pumps at this location. They're very easy to use. I usually pump gas here if I'm in the area eating at the nearby Mitsuwa. Their prices are pretty competitive for the area and they also give a discount for paying by cash or debit card. read more

The two cashiers gave some of the best customer service I've seen at an business. If I was rating them I'd give 5stars. But the car wash doesn't even have the car brush bristles (it "cleans" ur car with water pressure). I was impressed by how much the water jets cleaned, but the wind from driving on the freeway was able to get more dirt off my windshield. On top of that you have to pay inside, so you never get the opportunity to see the lack of bristles. If every Orange County city battled it out to see which has the most Chevron stations, Costa Mesa would surely be the heavyweight champion!. This one is new, clean, close to the 405 and they have also fill propane tanks which I why I came here in the first place. The service was prompt and courteous and the propane price was fair. Their gasoline prices are broken down into one price for cash, and a higher price if you choose to use a credit card, which is odd considering there is yet another Chevron station ONE BLOCK away that charges that lower "cash" price whether you use cash OR credit. Yeah, this place blows. You want to be hassled for money nearly every time you come to pump gas? But sir, I'm just going to wash your windshield. Hey! Listen to me! I need that money to eat/buy alcohol/score drugs! Let me wash your damn window! South Coast Plaza and surrounding areas are constantly ruined for me by the constant barrage of aggressive homeless people. I can't go to Target/CVS/Trader Joe's you NAME IT without these people showing up to haunt my ass. Not your run of the mill homeless people who calmly ask for change, but the ones who come up to you and get in your face so that you can smell the mouthwash they were guzzling down earlier to get buzzed as they scream into your face. When I offer to give them food, they turn me down. Guess you can't turn a nourishing meal bar into a gram of heroin, eh? I encourage them to apply for food stamps and participate in a work program as they continue their tirades. I get dirty looks, then they walk away and start badgering more customers. I go inside, tell the cashier that the dude/chick/etc is out there screaming at customers again and the cops need to be called. The cashier nods in understanding and acknowledgement and says thank you, because this is a regular occurrence here and she knows who/what/where I'm talking about. Yeah, overall this gas station is good and clean inside, helpful people etc. Normally the prices are not super high. But I just can't go here anymore because every time someone swoops in front of me to scream at me demanding money, my blood pressure raises a little bit higher and it's already bad because I was just sitting in the parking lot aka the 405 for an hour. I gave her the coupon, she said "you cant use it" i asked her why, she said "just because". so I said why don't you read the coupon, it is valid..she said "i dont need to. i did already". Every time I try to fill up my tank the pump stops fueling, as if my tank is full and it never is! I can never full up at this gas station because the pump stops fueling and prevent me from filling up my tank. I have come in 4-5 times, different pumps, with about 1/4 tank and I cante en get my tank to film 3/4. Waste of my time (even if it's conveniently located near freeway to my work). read more

Gas is reasonable with a convenience store but what I really like is the touchless car wash! For $5.99 you get a wash with a spot free rinse and air dry with a timer that lets you know how much longer you have on the dry cycle. I had some huge bird dump on my car I thought it was paint and this car wash took almost all of it off even though the car is black and it had baked on for half the day.
