Smoked turkey sandwich with pesto on sourdough

Never would I normally go out of my way to leave a review for a gas station but this place is super nice! They have really good sandwiches for only $8, local baked goods like carrot cake and cookies, lots of other nice snacks as well as good coffee and one of those freal milkshake machines. Everyone working was super friendly and efficient. Plan on coming back next time in driving up to Oregon.

I've known the Graviers for 15 years now, (wow, has it been that long already???) and they run a very clean and efficient station.

This time we camped right across at…read moreStandish Hickey State Park (don't recommend this campground if you have a large rig or mobility issues as the river is down a steep trail). The Peg House has a cute gift shop, general store with booze and basics (famous brownies and ginormous cookies!) and next door is the outdoor restaurant. It has a great vibe, owner took out orders and you KNOW by the taste and food service how much love and thought goes into this place! We had: Grilled Chicken w/brie Bigfoot Burger Classic Cheeseburger All came with coleslaw and that was great too! We plan on making this a pitstop from now on. Everything was delicious and there was live music on stage. **if you're camping get wood here too-it's a great price for the large bundle. Thanks Peg House!

I ordered the lost coast burger and with tax it was $20. It came with a small portion of broccoli coleslaw that I really liked- and thankfully my two companions did not so I got a triple portion. The burger was fine. Not the greasy smash burger experience I was craving, but it tasted fresh. Served on a ciabatta roll... from Costco? Unconfirmed, but that's what it tasted like. I would have preferred brioche or something more fluffy. I ate every crumb because post hike hunger. I wouldn't come again though. The service was good and everyone was nice- just overpriced for the product, IMO. The outdoor seating was nice and it looks like sometimes there is live music. The bathrooms were gross. Smelled horrible and dirty. There is a campground or some sort of rv park right behind that may also be sharing the restrooms.

I called ahead to ask if I could order my curry mild, and he said oh, they're not spicy. The guy on the phone was very nice. I ordered the spinach chicken. Chicken in a spinach, curry sauce, with rice, red onion and cilantro. I also ordered naan bread on the side. The food came very quickly, and it was amazing! The spinach curry chicken was very good. It was rich, but not overly so. The red onion and cilantro added to the flavor. The chicken was delicious, and very tender. . I loved the spinach curry sauce, it had just enough of a "zip" that I noticed that it was there. Hardly spicy at all. The rice was wonderfully fluffy. The naan bread was very tender, and also had a little bit of a richness to it. The meal also came with three sauces. A yogurt sauce, a green sauce, and a tamarind sauce. The yogurt sauce, I put into the curry bowl, which just added to the flavor, the green sauce was a bit too spicy for me, so I left that one to the side, , and the tamarind sauce I used as a dip for the naan. I really loved the tamarind sauce. It was sweet, and just a little bit tangy. . Just right. Both sauces were extremely good. It was a very generous portion, enough that I had plenty left over for a very nice breakfast. It reheated very well in the microwave in the morning. The price was very reasonable, especially with the fact that I got two meals out of it. I will remember this place. Thank you.

Both curries were incredibly flavorful and packed with chunks of tender meat. The chicken chili was slightly sweet (and not spicy at all, despite the name) and contrasted nicely with the lamb. The plate came with rice, yogurt, and naan, and was a generous portion, enough to be a light meal for two. Service was super friendly. We were offered samples of the various chicken curries as we tried to decide which one to get.
