Different store but same chain and owner. Son took car to get car washed on 6/26/24. Car wash tore off driver side mirror so he filled out a claim form. Talked to manager who said all she could do was send the form to corporate and she couldn't do anything more than that. She couldn't provide a working number and the form said to talk to the store manager...... Was able to track down the corporate info and left about a dozen messages to try to get someone to address the claim over the past 3 months. No callbacks and would always go to voicemail. Think twice about using their car wash as any damage will be ignored..... read more

THEY DO NOT MONITOR THE SAFETY OF THE CAR WASH! You should be aware that they do not feel accountable for what happens in the car wash or if you have a safe experience. While I was at the car wash recently, someone on a bicycle came in behind me while it was running. Super strange and scary, the guy was out of it. He squeezed past my car, under the water while the machine was moving, scratching the entire right front side of my car. No clue what he was thinking but I was afraid to drive out and potentially hurt him. He hung out in front of my car in front of the car dryer before leaving. I went to the staff at Loop afterwards, I was shaken up. They gave me blank looks and said to call the manager the next day. They said they have a camera but they do not monitor it from the inside of the store. I later talked to the manager, Cesy, and she said she would get the video, check with corporate and get back to me. But, despite more calls from me, she never did. Perhaps it's not unusual to have damage reported and they just wait it out to see how upset people get. read more

This is a quick review for the Car Wash. I was driving from Redwood City to Menlo Park and needed a car wash. I remembered that a gas station on El Camino Real had a car wash and decided to stop here! I wasn't disappointed! There were a couple cars in front of me but the car wash is fast enough that I didn't wait more than 15 mins for it to be my turn. The machine was easy to use and I had no problems using it. If you need to get your monthly car wash like me, I definitely recommend this place! I'll be coming back for sure! read more

This is just a quick review in regards to the car wash here... It is not a touch free wash. There are 4 price ranges: 7.00 , 8.00, 9.00, 11.00 I got the 9 dollar package and was NOT impressed. I mean you can't expect too much from these automatic car washes.. But the "wheel blasters" and over all pressure of the water does not give your car a good clean. Not even the help of the rotating 'feather touch' washers really got the easy specs of dirt off my car. The thing I was most disappointed in was the air dryer. I used the entire 1.5 minutes to try and get my car as dry as possible but it was very ineffective. I left with a ton of water marks dried on the paint of my car. Overall this gas station seems clean and it's fairly large and not too cramped. It offers a station to vacuum and shampoo your carpet in your car as well as a station to fill air into your tires. read more

My favorite gas station in Redwood City. It's got everything you need as far as drinks and snacks go. Hot foods as well. Conveniently located on the corner of 5th & El Camino. It's very clean, tidy, and modern because it's relatively new. Might I add its significantly cheaper than Chevron of which I'm now deliberately avoiding because their prices surged. I usually wash my own car instead of using gas station washes. But, something to keep in mind... Apparently, the gas is cheaper if you select the car wash. I guess they really want you to get your car washed by them. Folks that work there are also really nice. And one of my favorite things is a tiny detail, but for me it makes me love it even more, is the brand of marshmallow rice bar they sell. $2 Sweet Street brand. So far that is THE BEST marshmallow treat I've ever had! You should try one! read more

I frequent this gas station often, and my issue is not with the gas station. The car wash is HORRIBLE!!! I can't tell you how many times over the years that I have paid to use the car wash and the machines were broken and failed to complete part, or all, of the service that I paid for. This has happened twice in the past 3 weeks. The final RINSE of the process is *broken* at least 25% of the time. Leaving my car full of soap when I enter the final blowers. BUT TODAY.....not only did the final rinse NOT work...but the blowers did not work. I drove home with a soapy car. I had to hand rinse my car and towel dry it. And yes, I did go into the store and tell the employees about it. Not only did they refuse to reimburse the cost of the car wash- but they were incredibly rude. There are some good things about this Loop, like the extensive drinks section, and the extra-long gas pump hoses, but there are some bad things about this Loop, too, like the narrow corridors through which you must drive, the crummy layout of the carwash entrance, the carwash process, and the employee who was responsible for the carwash yesterday (Sunday). A brief history of car washes in Northern California: there is a longstanding tradition of the hand-wash style car wash in this part of the country, and this is reflected nearby in the presence of Ducky's, Eco-Wash, Redwood City Car Wash, the other Ducky's, et cetera. The upside of hand-wash car washes includes an unparalleled attention to detail (no pun intended), increased jobs, and more cars serviced at once. The downside includes a slow, long wait (often outside in the hot sun), a tripled pricetag, and related woes. I prefer automatic style car washes, and there are very few nearby (there's one on Veteran's Boulevard at a gas station), so my heart skipped a beat when Loop developed their property to include one. I've probably used Loop's car wash twenty times since they opened. One can either pay with cash/plastic or enter a wash code (purchased inside or at the gas pump). However, if you don't wait until the car ahead of you has completely finished with their drying cycle, there can be serious heck to pay. I think this defeats the purpose of having a multi-station car wash, and certainly makes the time investment higher, but it's still at least ten times more convenient (in my opinion) than a hand-wash. Yesterday, I punched in my wash code and pulled my car into the tunnel, only to receive contradictory instructions from the wash robot. It blinked off and on, told me to pull forward and move backward, over and over, until the whole thing just shut down. Facing possible grievous bodily harm via exiting my car, I sat still and waited for a reboot to happen. It could only take a few moments, I figured, before an automatic or manual systems reboot. I waited, my half-soaped car dripping quietly. Pigeons full of soapy water interrupted their guano-painting session to fly down from their messy car wash roosts to investigate, and the guy in the car behind me proceeded to honk at me. What to do? I Googled the phone number for Loop, and even though they were definitely open, nobody picked up the phone. Okay, my next move was going to be to drive out the wash chute and pray that it didn't roar back to life. I was successful in my endeavor, but the first responsible employee I located was incredibly rude to me. Like, aggressively rude, condescending, churlish, mocking - what the heck had I mistakenly done to THIS guy's Cheerios? He made it sound like I had committed some sort of felony by following the wash robot's instructions, and also made it sound like he wasn't going to give me a new wash code. He ultimately did give me a new wash code, but made it seem like it was this huge hardship/favor, and passive-aggressively followed the car in front of us as it drove into the wash area, loudly instructing them on how to use a wash code while glaring back at me. I eventually left with a clean car, but it took almost half an hour to resolve this issue, and that feels pretty ridiculous. I'd caution anyone considering a car wash here to think about choosing another option, lest you fall headlong into the life of Rip Van (or car) Winkle. read more

Please make sure you tell your employees to keep toilet paper in the toilet paper holders. Both of your restrooms had no toilet paper. read more

Loop Neighborhood is a new convenience store in the Bay Area, and IMO, it is redefining the model of convenience stores everywhere. :) The first Loop Neighborhood opened in Santa Clara in 2013, and this Atherton location (located at the Shell gas station) is the 8th of its kind. This store opened 7/17/2014. What makes it different from your average convenience store? + Modern design: Sleek, orange/white branding. There is a heavy push for branding; they even offer their own line of reusable water bottles! The store is lit by bright, florescent lights and is incredibly clean. + Healthy, fresh food: Great selection of premade foods, like sandwiches, sushi, and salads. They also have small packages of nuts and dried fruits. + Organic, natural, and gluten-free items: I don't think I've ever seen kale chips at a 7-Eleven or AMPM. ;) + Frozen yogurt station (with toppings bar). + Espresso bar. + Free Wi-Fi and seating area. Of course, most of the standards are offered: coffee, candy bars, and chips. I also saw a lot of food products and brands I've never seen before, like fruit gelato bars. A nice addition to the area! Love this new convenience store that opened up nearby. It's very well lit, the staff is pleasant, and the variety of food is superior to any gas station 've been to. I haven't bought any of it, but I like to look. They actually have some healthier food and beverage options, and as well as the normal convenience store junk food. The store is immaculate, and for some reason, the gas is always a little cheaper here than other places nearby. If I was still in my fro-yo phase, I'd be excited to have some within walking distance. read more

I revised this review from 1 star to 5. All is forgiven. After a roller in the station's car wash whipped the antenna on my Jeep into the windshield, cracking it, I filed a report hoping to get reimbursed. No response for many weeks so I expressed my frustration in a bad news Yelp review. Seemingly within moments, that review came to the attention of the station owner, Au Energy, and they contacted me to make good on the damaged windshield complete with profuse apologies. Seems that somehow the station manager failed to pass the complaint upstairs. Anyhow, many thanks to Au for a satisfactory resolution and I'll be back to the Loop Neighborhood Market car wash. Every time I stop here, it's for 2 very simple items. Gas and coffee. These guys make it hard to spend money here. Getting gas is not a problem. It's getting coffee. Cant get a simple cup of coffee at this particular loop. The other loops I go to I can get the coffee I want but every time I stop at this loop they don't have it. My Service Puppy Snow insists we go inside get his Cheddar Hotdog no bun whenever we pass by. The staff are always smiling laughing they all know Snows special order Cheddar dog no bun in napkin please. This is actually the best gas station store I've ever been to. Very well laid out and super organized and clean. They offer a variety of things most 7/11s and other gas station stores don't. They have a lot of organic products, frozen food, ice cream, quick hot food and much more. Staff is usually young but for the most part very friendly. Definitely coming here again! read more

Horrible... Car wash was $11.00 for the "best one". My car went through twice, with the same results... back end not clean, and muddy on bumper. Wet dust settled on the back... Last Sunday I did the first wash... didn't have time to go through again. I went home and washed the sides and back myself... Man said to return on Wednesday. Wasn't able to, so today Friday... I went in. Mgr. was sullen and certainly did not want me to be there! Acted like I was stealing a car wash. What a joke... I will never be back! This second wash result was the same.
