A wonderful Agean representative named Zach quickly contacted me to confirm the dimensions and specifications of our current filter to ensure he sent us the correct one. I was genuinely surprised that he took the time and effort to do that, and, of course, he sent us the correct one! Amazing! We are very pleased to have a new (and correct) filter for our hot tub. I have been a customer of this company for several years. They have been servicing my whole home…read moregenerator. Prior to today, I was satisfied with their service although I will note that their fees are expensive. Approximately one week ago, I booked an afternoon preventive maintenance appointment for today. JD Power Systems operates under the typical, but not particularly customer friendly, four-hour window system where the technician calls you when he/she is on his/her way to your house. I chose to take the afternoon off from work so that I would definitely be able to be present when the technician arrived. Around 4:00pm, I received a call from an office employee stating that the technician scheduled to service my generator had instead been dispatched to a priority commercial customer and, furthermore, due to traffic and rainfall (!), would not be coming to my home. I was offered an appointment on another day; I declined. While I can appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can arise, my expectation for good customer service does not entail scheduling another appointment and taking more time off from work without some kind of accommodation from the company that chose to de-prioritize me in the first place. This review would not have been written and I would be not be engaging a competing firm if the office employee had instead explained the circumstances and said, in so many words, how can we be fair to you? I would have happily forgiven JD Power Systems if something as simple as $50.00 - $100.00 would have been knocked off the usual $500.00 preventive maintenance charge, but alas, customer service standards at this firm are lacking so I leave this review to let potential customers be aware of what may happen to them. I am constantly amazed that some firms do so little to retain existing customers while spending lots of money on trying to acquire new customers. In my opinion, JD Power Systems epitomizes this backwards approach to business.

I didn't write a review. last week, after the deluge, our new carpet in the basement was damp in a couple of places. after dry vacuuming, it was better and we left strong fans going. stil, this week, it was damp. I called our contact at the store, Lisa, and she encouraged me to call Mike. she gave me his cell phone number at 620 pm tonight, he came over and showed us the reason it was still a little damp. we had very good padding that insured that the carpet would not get ruined-but beneath the padding the floor remained wet. He cut out several feet of padding and said he would get back to us to replace it in a couple of days. When people tell you to support small family businesses, do it. Evans did their job in July. They sold good carpet and installed it. They had no responsibility to provide additional service--but they did!!! I cannot say enough about this store, their team and their work ethic. If anyone needs new carpet at a fair price and with assurance that the relationship remains after the sale is done--go to Evans Carpet Junkyard. The only thing that bothers me is the name. Ok...got there at the appropriate time and my sales person Stephanie was with another customer. I figured she was just finishing up. I ended up waiting 40 minutes. In hindsight should have walked out! I had to finally tell the bookkeeper I was waiting, and have her relay the message. I placed an order for a product and scheduled another appointment (as she had another customer waiting) to add to the bath remodel and consider everything else I needed through Kohler. Another item I was considering I asked if I could call in to buy. So I called to confirm and pay by phone, to get ahead of shipping time. Had to leave a voicemail for a callback. Got the callback quickly to take the payment. (Spent about $3,900.00 by this time on the two products.)The receipt was to be emailed to me. Also needed shower and faucet fixtures and wanted to order them in person, reason for my next appointment, since there wasn't time on the first or second appointment. Called and left a message for a return call as I hadn't received my receipt and was trying to schedule another appointment. Left two messages on a Thursday morning, but call No back by Monday! I finally had to call the showroom manager, and leave another voicemail, for a call back from her. No one that answers the phone can do anything but transfer you to a voicemail! She called back and emailed the recipient. Now...picking two products up after they came in. Go to 'pick up and delivery' for two items...was/is the next hurdle! Got one item that I could fit into my SUV, but the other item (15x60) was on a skid, and (suggested for product safety, needed our truck to get it. Sent my husband to pick it up today and when he comes home says,"I could have gotten this in the SUV!" Well they gave him the WRONG item! Now they are... "trying to figure out what happened". Called the showroom manager, AGAIN and had to leave another message AGAIN! Asked who the overall store manager was and was told "the owner and he is out of town till Wednesday". This is Monday. No idea what they are having such a hard time getting an answer and getting my product is about! Sure took the payments on a heart beat! I finally ordered the fixtures from Robertson's heating and plumbing supply, Moen. Smooth process, Brooklyn my salesperson was excellent. Took time to make sure I had exactly what I wanted and needed, She checked the order when it came in to make sure it was all there. Took 5 days to come in. I also found a product at Ferguson's that was sent to my house in two days! Bathworks has been a nightmare to deal with! I will say, Josh in the shipping department has been trying to figure out what is going on. If you're not working with a large contractor (this is a small gut remodel with a one person contractor) I think the sales department discounts you as a customer, or they are just inept! Kohler may want to rethink Bathworks as a distributor. If I could give them less than one star I would!
