Have been using this gas/car wash for quite a while. Usually just get regular wash and it looks good. Today I added another $1 to get the under wash. Pulled in and no water underneath . Perturbed. Roll in and stop. The side flappers start going and water is spitting at my car. The flappers come back and the big brush comes down and rolls up over my car. I had the three year old in back loving it. The brush and the flappers made a return visit a couple of times but were not spinning. Never got soaped and barely got washed. As I'm slowly exiting, under dryer, the car behind is entering and I see it is getting the undercarriage spray. And then I see it is shooting the soap out on that car. Really perturbed. I got out to open side mirrors and check out how it looked and it is passable since dust, dirt and bird poop is gone. Will not pay any extra again. read more

Haven't used this gas station in five years because the pumps were terrible. Tried again today in hopes they had replaced them, but no. Still the same ones, They are about 20 years old and badly in need of replacement. The buttons are all eroded. The screens are illegible in direct sunlight. The interface is over-complicated and slow. Does not accept Apple Pay. The pump I used was trickling out gas at about 0.01 gallons per second. After waiting several minutes for two gallons, I gave up,and went to the cheaper station down the street, where I tapped my phone, hit "regular" and was pumping immediately. Negative stars!!! This place is dangerous and the people who work here are incredibly rude and insensitive. I try not to use this gas station unless it's absolutely necessary because the people who own it are rude and they have run this place into the ground. There are boxes of supplies in the corner of the store, no coffee stand, limited products. But I did need a car wash so I tried. What a huge mistake. I was all the way into the car wash and it started for about a minute but then abruptly stopped. So, I'm sitting there with the big washers near my door, afraid to get out in case it started again. Afraid to drive forward or backward in case there was something that could puncture my tires. There is no number posted to call and no number I could find on-line for them. I was there for ten minutes trying to figure a way out. I finally called my husband who drove there to alert them of my situation. The angry, sullen, mean guy who works there? Manager? Anyway, he comes into the car wash where I have been trapped for 20 minutes by that time, says nothing to me and goes to what I assume is the control box. Not a word to me, nothing. I had put my window down at that point thinking he may want to say something to me. NOPE. Just strolled on by. I had to yell to reach him across the car wash that it would have been courteous of him to acknowledge that I'd been trapped there and offer an apology. He told me HE OWES ME NO APOLOGY and dismissed me as though I was in the wrong. Then he barked at me to "put my window up!" as though I was some idiot child. But he couldn't get it to work anyway. Then he started to say something to me, so I had to put my window down to hear him. Then he yelled at me again. At this point, I was done. Give me a refund. Let me out, you asshole. All he had to do was acknowledge my situation and take responsibility for it with a simple, "I'm sorry this happened, let me see what I can do." That's it! I understand mechanical problems happen but to dismiss a person who has been trapped in YOUR carwash is unacceptable. ZERO kindness, ZERO accountability. And NO WAY of letting them know I was in need of help, as in a number posted clearly in the car wash. That's dangerous. Regardless of what anyone else would have done in my situation, the bottom line is clear. The people who run this Chevron station are terrible people. The same guy who was dismissive, rude and hateful to me ran off before I could confront him. So he's also a coward. I will never go to this Chevron station again. There are plenty of other gas stations around that aren't run by horrible people. And please, don't ever use their carwash. See other reviews to back up mine. read more

05/08/2022 "What's all this Ruckus?" We invaded this gas station to fill up and take a break. One island is for diesel and the other is for regular gas. This location does have a car wash behind the building. Prices are on the high side but did not stop people from coming to fill up. read more

Been living in Sunland for 10 years and this rude, poorly managed excuse for a chevron hasn't changed one bit. From the rude and insulting staff to the crap facilities. Most recently the car wash malfunction and started shaking and scratching my car in the rear. We approached the staff about it and they laughed at us, called us liars and yelled insults at us. They don't care about anyone who spends money there and will not help you of there is an issue. Definitely avoid this location if you can. read more

Car wash - The sweet spot to stop for the car wash to start is small, so watch the signal lights carefully. The brush is strong enough to fold my side mirrors, but it only goes from front to back once, so it doesn't really clean well. There's a big pause between the soap and water stages, so don't think that the wash is broken. The air blowers are stationary, so you might want to drive out real slow. read more

Last time going as of today, this was the last straw. I just wanted to put $21.00 on pump 4. The bitch working this evening put the pump to stop at $20.99. There was tell tale signs all the times I've been there that I ignored. Barely any cars there for gas and most importantly NO HOBOS. If they aren't there then something's not right. Literally STOLE my money. When I go get a car wash here it's usually an emergency. So, I run inside pay and get a receipt code. However, in the process there's always a guy upset at me because I didn't use the machine outside before enterijng the car wash. I hardly ever have cash so that's why I never do. The one time I have cash I go to the machine outside, slip cash in, light turns green and everything seems good. I drive in, machine turns yellow for like a minute. I drive out and that's when I decide to walk into the gas station store. I explain what happened and he pretends to not know what's going on, then proceeds to blame it on me before he finally says he doesn't have the phone number to call his manager, riiiiiight. Several issues with this place, mainly false price advertising... 1. Their sign says they give a 20 cent discount if you pay cash. They do not. It's 10 cents. 2. The price I was charged at the pump for paying with my credit card was 10 cents higher than the advertised credit card price per gallon on their main sign. 3. You are not able to use your Vons/Albertsons/Safeway phone number to get your 20 cent per gallon discount if you have those points available (despite the screen's prompt asking for it). Every single time it says the number is invalid. I have tried multiple phone numbers that should have 100% worked and get the same error. 4. I LOVE THE AUTO CAR WASH HERE!!! Its the bomb,plus they give you ten cents off if you buy the auto wash. The dryer is great. The gas maybe costs you 15cents more per gallon in this area,but the snacks are wayy cheaper than the opposing gas station on tuxford/glenoaks. You may experience a funky smell when you walk inside,but the clerks who work here are incredibly friendly. I love their personalities. Its less packed than the other gas station because the gas costs more. Its up to you to choose what gas you prefer. read more

This place has such bad reviews I thought it would be good for me to share the good customer service experience I just had (typing this inside the car wash haha). I went inside to purchase a basic car wash (after pulling up to the kiosk and realizing they didn't have a credit card slot! Hallelujah no one was behind me so I could back out.) I so I pulled into the car wash, stopped when the light turned red and the machine started rinsing my car. After 30 seconds or so, the green light turned on for me to pull forward, but none of the rubber spinner things had ever even turned on. The dryer was going with green light so I pulled through. I went back inside to explain what happened (rinsed but no soap or rollers activated) and though he didn't quite understand what happened, he gave me a new code so I could wash again. I was pleasantly surprised to learn it was an upgraded deluxe wash. I made sure to stop in the right place (I think something happened with wrong placement the first time) and the machine did it's job around my car like normal. I'm happy they took care of the situation and my car got clean! read more

If I could rate this place 0 stars, I totally would. I needed gas BADLY. And I usually always stop here. Usually I use my debit card but only had cash. I stopped at the pumps right next to the door and saw they had a window to help through the glass. I thought about how perfect it was since I had my kids in the car and it was less than 3 small steps away (almost as close as a drive thru). I saw a elderly man sitting on the chair picking and cleaning his ear with some object (GROSS!). I spoke through the hole ("excuse me sir") and he didn't hear me. I repeated myself and spoke louder. He turned around and motioned to me to come inside. I pointed to the cash slip thing and asked if he could help me here. He then again motioned for me to come through the door. The door was right there but the front of the counter was far from the entrance so I stood at the door inside and said "Hi". He just stared at me and with the rudest tone and no facial expression said "what do you want" and I turned my head in confusion sideways and wondered why he was being so rude. He then again repeated himself a bit louder and said "what do you want!". I then proceeded to tell him "I wanted to fill my tank and not have to leave the car but I'm deciding not to do so now. Instead of asking your customers rudely 'what do you want' you should rephrase it to 'how may I help you'. He stared at me with a blank 'I don't give a f*ck' look, sat down and began to pick/clean his other ear. This Chevron is overly priced but with points it helps a bit and the convenience of having it on a Main Street make up for it. My family and I all fill our cars up here weekly( 6 cars total). After receiving that beyond rude service, I shared it with my family and we will all refuse to go to this location. read more

If I could post 0 stars I would. I filled up my tank and then went to the clerk to have him turn on the air. He told me it would be $1.50. When I corrected him that I just filled up my tank and needed the free air, he gave me the third degree, asking for the pump number and the exact amount of gas I purchased. I didn't pay attention and so gave him an estimate, which he didn't believe. Other customers are lining up and I just want to check/top off the air on my tires! The attendant canceled my transaction, then I had him swipe the card. Didn't think anything of it, till my card quit working the next day. They attempted to rent multiple hotel rooms, and at a bar. Pumps outside have issues often. I just pumped, it seemed like it took more gas than usual and went slow as heck. Then it spilled gas everywhere. On top of spilling gas everywhere it caused me to forget two drinks I paid for and left on the pump. Do not support this business! I'm not asking you to have clean bathrooms or even bathrooms for non-paying customers but I am asking that as a pit stop for road trips you have a restroom I can use while I purchase gas from your establishment. I came here to fill up on Thanksgiving night, and the diesel was really cheap. It was 20 cents cheaper than where I live, and about 45 cents cheaper than other stations in the area. However, this station gets 4 stars because there were no paper products in the bathroom (towels, seat covers, toilet paper) despite being otherwise clean, and there were pump problems. Both myself and someone on the gasoline pumps had to have the pumps reactivated (which meant reauthorizing credit cards), which was a minor annoyance. read more

I drove to this gas station specifically for use of the carwash. I bought $40 worth of expensive gas and a $9 carwash. The carwash came to an end and we both looked at each other confused.... WHERE THE EFF WAS THE SOAP?!? Immediately after, I pulled the the front and told them the machine was out of soap. He said..."$8 is only water, $9 has very little soap that you can see but $11 has most " ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! I paid for a carwash that had little to non soap. This place should change the sign to WATER WASH!!! He wouldn't gave a refund nor did he care. We then pull up to the vacuum and it says.. "OUT OF ORDER". I still can't believe this. Let's not forget to mention how filthy the actual carwash area was. Trash everywhere. My boyfriend then walks back inside and asked to use the restroom and guess what... " OUT OF SERVICE". Just went in to get a car wash and when it was time to dry my car the dryer was on for only 5 seconds. I went in to tell the employee and he told me to reverse back in and it'll work. I told him there's a car he said it's ok u go in backwards. So I did and once I went in it was the other cars drying turn. Waste of money employee job knowledge at zero and terrible customer service. CAR WASH CUSTOMERS BEWARE. Today 10/28 I went in and purchased a $10 Car Wash. The teller took the $10 but never actually processed the transaction on the register. Instead he set the money aside and reached to the right of the register and pulled a receipt out of the stack that was sitting there. I thought this was odd but figured there were some problems making Car Wash transactions and they pre printed a bunch of vouchers. The teller went on to circle the code and provided me with a receipt and off I went. By the time I got back to my car there were 6 cars in line and the receipt had an expiration date in November for the car wash so I decided to go back at a later time or date. After about 30 minutes I was in the area again and decided to wait it out. I waited in the Car Wash line for about 20 to 30 minutes and during this time the Teller went out twice to the Car Wash kiosk where he talked to the drivers and did something at the kiosk. Not sure exactly what happened but I think the drivers encountered the same problem I did. Finally my turn, I pull up to the kiosk and punch in the code...Not a valid code...hmm...i try a 2nd and 3rd time without luck. I press the Attendant/Help button and hold it without response and I continue to enter the code several times still without any luck. With 7 cars behind me and I'm sure drivers as frustrated as I was, I pulled out a 10$ and proceeded to pay AGAIN for the car wash at the kiosk. After the wash was complete, I parked my car and went inside. There was a different teller. I told him he needed to give me a refund because the code they provided me was invalid. He asked me when i purchased it and I told him no more than an hour ago. Reluctant to give me a refund, I started to raise my voice and demanded he give me a refund. I then told him what they were doing was fraud. I told the Teller that his colleague was saving the receipts from unsuspecting customers who pump enough gas to get a free car wash and they set the receipts with a car wash code to the side. I proceeded to point at the stack of receipts they had saved next to the register. By this time the first teller who sold me the car wash came out from the backroom. I then demanded my money back and they were both reluctant and speaking to each other in their native language. I used the customers behind me as an example of the fraud they were committing and I told them to pull the footage from their security camera and that i was going to call the police. As soon as I said that, the Teller opened the cash register and practically threw the money at me. The teller tried to tell me that I should have gone inside the store and discussed it with them first before paying again at the kiosk and my response was I don't believe I should be inconvenienced for the fraudulent activities they are committing and I was not going to wait in line another half hour. Beware. If you pay for a car wash there, make sure you get a time stamped receipt of YOUR TRANSACTION AND NOT SOMEONE ELSES. read more
