Decent gas station in Waldport. Prices are a little steeper, but it's obviously out of convenience since the next one north is in Newport. There aren't any other gas stations south of Waldport until you get to Florence, which is about a 45 min drive. We stopped out of convenience while we were exploring highway 34. The gas station was clean and the windshield washer water was nice and soapy. The gas pumps worked properly. There were 4 pumps available. You can use your Safeway rewards and Chevron rewards here. If you have both, they will compound them for extra savings. Would recommend when in a pinch! read more

Beyond Rude & Sketch. Don't go here. My mom and I had to stop for gas and the restroom. I pulled into the first open stall and some guy in a truck immediately pulled up behind me. I waited a minute to gather my car keys and wallet. Some guy with a mean mug, an attendant, walked up to my car. I'm a young woman in my car alone, so I'm already alarmed by this. He asked me, "Getting gas"? I said, "Yes," then got out and got the gas. My mom comes back outside and we switch sides/ phones for the gps. We pull up to the now free stall in front of us so the guy in the truck can get his gas. We are having trouble connecting my mom's phone to carplay. As we are trying to connect our phone and put in the address, we can hear the guy in the truck and the attendant talking very loudly about me and later on my mom. Then, a guy with white hair walks up to our driver's side window. I'm ticked off now. He says something but my mom is anxious now so she pulls away quickly. Overall, we spent $70 to get gas and be harassed. Don't worry though the judgement and loud complaints are free! read more

The chevron on the corner of hemlock and 101 hwy is one of the nicest welcoming gas stations I've ever been too. Definitely something you don't expect to experience. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful to us since we had a tire issue. I left with a smile on my face and a good energy! Thank you to this place and it's workers for just being kind. Idiots... so the first place in Oregon that had too fill up the vehicle themselves.. we told the guy NOT to leave the hose running it'll overflow. We have an 85 vanagon. So he runs off and yells for me not to touch, I told him turn it off. Didn't listen and got pissed when gas went everywhere. Well we told you not to leave it'll overflow just let us do it. Totally need to LEARN customer service. If you want to pump my gas and I love that Oregon does that, but listen to the customer. I've been washing my windshield and headlights for over 30 years. Luckily, Dave, jumped up out of his chair in the building to yell at me infringed of customers to tell me that this is the only gas station in the United States that doesn't allow customers to wash heir headlights. Dave of course, being professional and cool head not only yelled at me but got in my face, again I front of customers. When I asked him to please explain why I cannot wash my headlights, he had absolutely no response. I asked for a technical reason. He was unable to provide a response. I asked for a logical reason. He was again, unable to provide a response. Dave was also unable to produce any sort of policy which stated that washers were for headlights ONLY. If it were a policy, don't you think that it would benefit he customer, if no wheee else, to see said policy and not be yelled at by disgruntled employee over headlights, Dave? Or do you really think it makes sense for you to go out of your way and get in a customer's face over bugs on headlights, Dave? So, after I instructed, Dave, to remove himself from my face, he looked down at his feet, I washed my headlights. Grow up, Dave and brush your teeth. The gas station attendant had no clue how to pump gas. He didn't insert the nozzle properly in our pickup and filled the first reservoir with about a $1 of diesel and told us our tank was full. When my husband told him that the gas gauge wasn't wrong and it only had a 1/4 tank in it he told my husband he didn't know what to tell him but the tank was full. Then he proceeded to get mouthy and told my husband he didn't need to get mad at him. We left and filled up at Newport. Won't ever stop there again. I was so incredibly disgusted by the behavior of the gas attendants at this station. We stopped for gas on our way out of town and as we were pulling to the pump my husband backed up to correct the vehicle so we could easily leave. This upset the attendant and he said loudly that were were idiots and "I guess I'll f***ing go to this pump" We let him know we heard what he had said by explaining the reason behind us moving our vehicle to which he told us we would have been fine with our small vehicle because he has seen Ford duelies go around there in a very rude and condescending tone while laughing at us. My husband then said something to him about his attitude being crappy when we were just getting gas. His coworker also came over and they both started in on how my husband needs to learn how to drive, calling him names, and yelling at us across the parking lot as we were leaving with my husband of course responding at this point. My wife and I were in Oregon on vacation (we live in the Midwest) and rented a car at the Portland airport. While in Waldport, I noticed we needed gas and pulled into this station. The pump looked like most every other gas pump we'd ever seen and the sticker read, insert Credit Card or Pre-Pay Inside, etc., so I put in my Visa, got the obvious approval and 'select grade, remove pump handle..., etc. Being fairly well-educated, I was able to follow those instructions when an affable teenager in civvies approached and said, "I'll pump your gas for you." Assuming it was a panhandling tactic, I thanked him but declined. As I continued pumping, a man in his 60's dressed in a Chevron uniform stomped up and yelled, "You can't pump your own gas! That car can be impounded and you can pay a $50K fine for doing it yourself!" He proceeded to tell me it was Oregon law and, when I asked him where his sign was advising tourists of that incredibly dubious fact he yelled, "You're supposed to know the law when you're in another state!" I later researched this 'law' and, as expected, it was a way to keep minimum wage employees in a job by claiming they had 'special training' to handle dangerous chemicals. Thank God! I was going to drain the last few drops in the nozzle down my throat! He saved my life! The attitude and actions of this station owner will ensure my last dollar spent on Chevron gas was in Waldport, Oregon, a week or two ago. read more

I will assume this business was bought out in the last couple years since the last Yelp review was about two years ago and it sounded like it was run by someone completely different. In Oregon you can't pump your own gas. Pretty much everyone knows that. I'm from Washington State but travel here from time to time. I pulled up to the pump since it was a Chevron and I've always got good service and gas at Chevron Stations. I got out of my company car and went to the pump and put my credit card in and entered my "Secret" 4 digit code. Before I could press the enter key the older attendant man came up and said "Get your hands off my pump!".. I took my hands away from the pump and at first I thought maybe he was joking with me as he stated to say how its a $25,000 fine for me to pump my own gas. I told him I wasn't pumping gas and was only entering my credit card information. He said I can't touch his pump unless I have $25,000 in my pocket AND I'm willing to forfeit my car. I told him he will need to press the enter key for me and also enter my odometer. I gave him my odometer and I'm pretty sure he entered it wrong and pressed enter again. I walked back and got back in the car as he was telling me how he has seem many "Out of Staters" and "Canadians" loss there cars and he could call the police and I could explain to the judge how I was "Only" entering my credit card information. I almost never give one star as I can always find something good about a place. Avoid this place like the plague if you are smart!! This use to be a good place. I always sent my car there. But new owner, and know I will never go there. My car had a wiring issue. The mechanic had it there for over a month, and was rude when I would call to check on the progress! Got tired of waiting, and had the car towed to a different shop. They had it fixed in two days! And when I had them do a oil chang and check the brakes, while it was at the chevron. Hen I got it back finally. The emergency brake does not work and the horn doesn't work right either! I am a single woman that recently moved to Waldport. My cars battery died leaving me stranded at my house. Being that Waldport, is such a small town I was sure that it would take Triple A a few days to get so eome to me. I felt a bit panicky as I was totally stranded! I know no one here.......... I decided to call the Chevron station in town to see what they suggested I do. I got to speak with a fine gentleman named Merlin. He was fabulous. He told me that their station was the Triple a contact and thAt they had the battery I needed in stock! The existing battery was definitely on its last leg........ He told me to call Triple AAA and that they would call him. He was at my door within 15 minutes! I was blown away! He was very professional, respectful and made me feel very comfortable. He got the car started then had me follow,him to,the station where he immediately installed a new battery and windshield wipers. Everyone at the station was very nice and they seemed to have a team attitude. I would go there again in an instant!!!!! Thanks to Merlin for his help! I made the mistake of stopping here to fill up. The staff was rude, mean, and downright nasty. Too bad there isn't a zero star option - 1 is too generous. Next time in Waldport, do yourself a favor and stop in at the Shell or Les Schwab where they understand how to treat customers. read more

Gas is always the highest. Gas prices are currently falling by the day but not here in Waldport. Chevron here is 42 cents higher than some stations less than an hour away. Pretty bad when gas in Beverly Hills is cheaper than here. Iv'e seen Chevron gas ten cents more than just two blocks down the street at the other gas station. Also, brought my car in there one time to get something fixed, they never fixed it and never diagnosed it yet charged me almost two hundred before they would release my car to me. BOGUS. I don't go there anymore for anything. I go to the other one in town now IF I have to or I drive to Florence to get my groceries at Safeway and fill up there for 30 cents cheaper. Not a bad gas station and good quality fuel but ties are over priced , bad experience with service department and gas is WAY to high. Nuff said. read more

This guy cost me at least $50 in gas an fuel for nothing, he said he could fix my dodge 2500 4X4's front axle shaft seal, but five hr's later he called and said he didn't have the tool's to do the job, so I guess you know what my stars for Bill will be. NONE!!!!! read more
