(1) Beef Enchilada- Soggy with flavorless beef (2) Chicken Enchilada - Soggy with chicken bones (3) Crispy Beef Taco - Falling apart it was so soggy. The taco had a scant layer of flavorless, unseasoned ground beef (4) Pork Tamale - One of the only edible items on the plate. (5) Chile Relleno - It was cold, soggy and disgusting. Unfortunately, my coworkers and I did not have a great experience. The food was lackluster in flavor, the drinks were flavorless and lacked alcohol, and our service was very slow. Super slow and servers amazingly inattentive even with very few people there. My family has been coming here for as long as I can remember. There are now quite a few mexican restaurant options around town, specifically brand new ones; however, this was one of my Dad's top picks in the area, so we will remain loyal to Chevy's. Their chips and roasted salsa were great! I was so excited to order and see what else was to come. That being said, I was quickly disappointed. We ordered the queso dip as a starter, and then put in for fajitas. The server brought both out at the same time. Such a disappointing service aspect. This was my first time at Chevy's and it was such a good experience!! The host immediately greeted us like he was actually happy to have customers (which is rare), the waitress was great, the food was delicious and the bathrooms were immaculate! It was such a great time that I had to go speak to the manager, Charlie. Even he was a delight to speak to and graciously thanked me for just saying something nice. Chevy's was better than expected. There was no wait on a Friday night, which was pretty surprising based on how busy it was on there. It was quite lively in there with a few large parties. Our waitress was very nice, it took a while to get our drinks (water and coke), but it was expected based on how busy it was. The chips and salsa was fresh. I ordered the mesquite chicken taco and it was delicious. It was still good the next day. I topped it off with the salsa and it set the whole thing off. The salsa was good until the husband said it tasted like pizza sauce. Then it tasted like pizza sauce. The chips were good and warm, but also? Sharp. I know because I chomped on one wrong and it was very pointy. The beef in the fajitas was mostly good quality, though a little fatty, and the fajitas were missing the fajita accoutrements like the fajita grilling tray and the tomalito. The garlic mashed potatoes were a little scary and the husband refused to eat them. The kitchen twice messed up the request to have the guac and sour cream arrive separate from the lettuce and pico de gallo. The location was hard to find, and there was no view. However, for Christmas they had a tree up with awesome Chevys ornaments. Best looking manager ever. That's pretty good given Chevys track manager of horrendous managers. This one actually looked like he groomed. I was given a green Chevys polo shirt for free (albeit with a small stain) which was pretty cool. It was our server's first day. She took away the chips and salsa in order to refill. Bad form. As to happy birthday enthusiasm and singing ability, the servers sang new songs and became a line of robo-clappers. so we have been going to chess since day one. food is good but the prices are no ridiculous. my wife and I and our adult daughter and a small child went and the bill with the tip came to $160. I went to their food truck, and it was great! I got a chicken quesidilla and a fajitas burrito with chicken. I personally wanted more spice/heat, but both dishes were still very flavorful. It's ok. We have gone a few times and a lot depends on the server you get. We are always seated in the back room which I personally do not like. But my husband does not care. The waiter we had was very nice this last time but later into the meal we realized the people behind us had gotten there after us and left before us. Also that he never refilled our drinks, a peeve of mine. The food is ok. It's decent american mexican. The plates are big. We ordered fajitas off the "fixed" menu (that includes a dessert) and it worked for us. It was too much and we actually ate it again for lunch the next day at home which was nice. We ate too many chips prior to our meal. They always give you chips and salsa. Be careful though they will refill the basket and you will loose your appetite. The flan was mediocre. Eh.. nothing too fancy. The parking lot is spacious but gets filled up on the weekends. They don't want you parking next door in the strip mall so sometimes you just have to be patient for parking. Here till 8pm you can have some drink and meal deals. 1/2 off on all but 2 appetizers. Service is also 1/2 off here too, we waited and waited. A YELP check-in got us queso fundito for free! The chicken tacos and shrimp fajita salad was good. Loved the skinny margarita, but the biggest problem with this place is SODIUM, Everything was salt max! I know it's a chain, and a big one for tex-mex cuisine, but I have to say... I'm kind of sold on Chevy's. The food has gotten better than it was a couple of years ago, and the service is usually pretty spot-on. Solid cuisine, great prices, nothing to complain overall! I will say, the last time we visited, the server seemed to be distracted, maybe borderline bored to be there. Still, he was quick on the refills and the food came out fast, hot, and fresh. I can't honestly say his technique suffered. His demeanor left a lot to be desired, though. The food, while not authentically 'Mexican,' is pretty authentically 'Tex-Mex,' which is its own unique cuisine as well. Is it like your grandma made? I have no clue... where is your grandma from? If she's like my grandma, then probably not. But she wasn't from the southwest, so... I have nothing to compare it to. My point is, I don't want you reading this and being all, "That's not real tex-mex, I know tex-mex, and I say that blah blah blah..." You're probably right; let's just agree on that. There are limits to what you can expect from a chain restaurant. Chevys Fresh Mex falls short of that low bar. In my latest visit, after a year or so gap, I had to go find someone to be seated. Service was slow. The waitperson had to come back to confirm a very simple order. The portions are quite large. Don't get excited about that. The food is mediocre at best. How hard is it to make a decent taco? How embarrassing should it be to a nominally Mexican restaurant for tacos to be soggy and lukewarm? Came to Chevys for lunch on a Saturday and the weather was decent and the restaurant was busy but not fully packed. We promptly got a seat toward the back room. Upon sitting down, a nice lady brought us complementary Chips and Salsa. My wife got the George Clooney's Tequila and I got a Mojito. Drinks were good but wasn't strong enough (but no complaints). My wife ordered the Farmers' Market Enchiladas while I ordered the Seasonal Veggies. We were going to get the Tableside Guac but forgot to order. Good thing we forgot because we were full halfway through our dishes. The Enchiladas were good but I couldn't find the Artichoke in there. Maybe it's mashed up. The grilled veggies were delish. Visited the Chevys Annapolis on May 5th The service was absolutely horrible. The server did not introduce herself . Did not look very interested in our order. I believe she could be one of the managers, but that couldn't be as an excuse to not provide the good service. Delivered the wrong drink .It was extremely busy and myself as a worker in food industry ,I understand, but that was not acceptable .Can't remember her name, tall lady with short blond hair. I have been eating at this Chevys my entire life and i'm honestly disappointed in the path this restaurant has been on. The service is horrible. There is honestly no other way to describe. Before Covid 19 I specifically started going to other chevys locations because the servers had attitudes. Now that restaurants are opening back up I wanted to go back to my regular home Chevys and i was let down AGAIN. After waiting at the host stand for 5 minutes, with absolutely NO ONE in the restaurant and then waiting at my table for 10-15 minutes without a server even approaching us i will NEVER be returning. We have gone to Chevy's several times, but last night, things were definitely "off." My husband ordered soup and requested that it cone out before the entree. A runner brought the soup about 30 seconds before someone else delivered our fajitas, so he did not have time to enjoy the soup. We ordered a pitcher of house margaritas, which cost $31. There was absolutely no taste or sensation of any tequila in the pitcher. We mentioned it to the server who nodded like he knew the problem and sent over the manager. She said the house margaritas are premixed elsewhere and contain very little alcohol. So she had them bring us a half pitcher of a slightly better margarita, but even that was not too good. She did take the $31 off our ticket and charged us $17 instead for the half pitcher. So they get points for trying to make it right. The chicken fajitas, which my husband has ordered before and enjoyed, were very dry last night. Overall, it was disappointing and we will not be heading back there too soon. read more

As always my visit was good. I sat in the bar area with friends and laughed it up. I ordered a frozen margarita and the Tostada Salad. I never did see it on the menu. My friend ordered one and it looked really good so i ordered it too. The food and drinks came out really quickly. Everything was good. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating.
