    Chicken fajitas

This was fantastic! Ya'll should know by now that I love Mexican/ Tex Mex food. Our server, Javier, was very friendly and attentive. I ordered chicken fajitas, which came out very quickly and smoking hot. Toppings were on point and I also received hand made tortillas (love these). Food was seasoned perfectly, and I had enough to take home. Will definitely be back!!!

Summary: Price-Performance: A bit pricey (for what you get) Service: Spotty Entrees: Qualityy, Ok, perhaps 4-Star in a few cases Chevy's has always been a tepid dining experience for us. It's OK, meaning, the final performance for entrees and service can be and sometimes is above average. But Chevy's continually misses the outstanding performance mark in our multi-decade dining experience at their franchise fronts. We stopped in for dinner as a group of six. Service was acceptable, when we were attended to but otherwise, tardy. The traditional chips with Salsa dip were OK --- not notable. Two entrees (see the pix below) were 4-Star but not exceptional. With Chevy's, it seems, there's always something lacking either with the taste, composition, or presentation of entrees. One among us ordered the Veggie Fajita platter which presents well but lacked flavor, depending on the individual veggie. The Carne Asada platter was dreadful, meaning, tasteless. If you're looking for Tex-Mex or simply Mex food, this place is OK but not great. You'll find other restaurants in the area that offer these categories of food that enjoy higher ratings here on Yelp.

Yummy The service at this location was amazing .... We ordered Togo it was fast and the food was delicious. Large parking lot and comfortable waiting area. The fish tacos were amazing I couldn't choose between tilapia or salmon so I got both.

Waiting for our server to come back. Have you seen him?

Disappointing experience tonight. Helpful to have other people run food and drinks out but server still needs to visit table. No refills, no boxes and we have to kids under 4. We are ready to go and we can't get the bill. Got up and got out own to go boxes. Wouldn't recommend the veggie burrito. No seasoning. Comes with beans and rice but burrito is packed with it. Service was non existent tonight. Understand they are busy. Is it to much to ask for a refill and a timely check? Place looks clean and nice. Just need to either staff more or train more. 6pm on a Thursday night.

We came here STARVING and passed the beautifully colored truck and building. It caught our eye and we immediately did a u-turn! The free chips and salsa was life changing, best we ever had. Every last item had our mouth watering. We ordered and I kid you not, it was ready to go in 10 minutes. Mind you we were a table of six and a baby! The service. Food. And overall atmosphere was AMAZING!

Filthy dirty windows and blinds. - How long has it been since a cleaning?

Our group of six visited this restaurant for dinner tonight. We sat in a booth near a wall of windows. The windows, walls, blinds etc were so filthy- the sight of it completely destroyed my appetite. I passed on ordering dinner. The entrees my friends ordered looked decent enough but I kept thinking, "If the blinds are this unkept, I shutter to imagine what the kitchen and back of house looks like." The staff was pleasant and welcoming which makes it hard to write this review. I am posting photos - tried to remain discreet in taking pictures so the photos are not perfect. *Gross pepsi products.

Last night we brought home a couple orders of some really bad fish tacos. As in thrown away. Buyer beware.

I eat a lot of Mexican food and this is easily the best I've tasted for Miles around. Birria enchiladas were off the hook. And the salsa there is fantastic! Just a couple more notes about pricing though, because I think it's worthwhile to mention: there is no lunch menu. Most Mexican joints have a lunch menu, with smaller sizes and lower prices. not here. The portions are very generous so be prepared to get a dinner menu and to-go box. And I ordered a draft Mexican beer and got a 24 ounce glass for nine dollars. I think this is another attempt to raise your check. Most places will give you the option of a 16 or 24 ounce. Yes these are nitpicks, but I'm not complaining because the food is so freaking good.

Our server, Fernando, set us up with separate checks. Several of us enjoyed margaritas. Everyone thought the food was amazing. I had the Ensalada Sin Fronteras with chicken. We started with chips and salsa, and they were excellent. The salsa wasn't overly spicy, just full of great flavor, and the chips were fresh and crisp--definitely a strong start to the meal. My wife ordered the chicken chimichanga. It was quite different from what we usually get at the Mexican spots we frequent--it was one large chimichanga served with a small salad, whereas we're used to getting two smaller ones with rice and beans, which we usually share. Still, it was tasty and satisfying in its own unique way. I ordered the Chicharrón en Salsa Verde--crispy pork and onions in a green tomato sauce, topped with cilantro and served with rice and warm flour tortillas. It had great flavor and the pork had a nice texture--crisp but not dry. Our friends ordered a variety of dishes, including: Chile en Nogada - a stuffed poblano pepper with seasoned ground beef, covered in a chilled almond and walnut nogada sauce, topped with pomegranate seeds and served with rice. It was rich, colorful, and very flavorful. A beautiful dish with red and yellow sauces and a white cream swirl--unfortunately I can't recall the name, but it was as good as it looked. Six tacos with assorted meats--each one was fantastic. The flavors were bold and fresh. To drink, most of us had margaritas, and you could tell they use fresh ingredients--these were excellent and not overly sweet like some places serve them. Service was top-notch from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The only disappointing part of the evening came at the end, when we learned that the restaurant will be closing in about a month. The building is being torn down, possibly for high-rise condos. The staff doesn't know if or where they'll reopen. It's a real shame, especially in an area that's already struggling with traffic and congestion. More homes, fewer gems like this. I just wish we had discovered Sin Fronteras Café sooner. Hopefully they find a new home nearby, and we'll definitely try to come back before they close for good.
