A nice looking Indian restuarant in downtown Service was great, the waiter was very attentive. We took the lunch special, which was 16.95 and included a soup, rice, Naan, samosa, gulab jamun & one choice of dish (I chose chicken korma). Apart from the lunch special, the prices were definitely a bit higher than other places, but it is a fancier place aswell. Overall, a good option if you want good Indian food at a nice looking place

Got to try their food last week. Ordered to go and enjoyed the meal at home. Took two "repas complet" which comes with an appetizer , basmati rice , naan bread and a main meal. The butter chicken was very good. I loved the lamb plate the most. Their papri chaat was nice and tasty and it was like a decomposed samosa. Portions were ok - when I ordered they mentioned two meals would be good for 4 but I think it's more like for 3. I would not get the paneer pakora again. All in all nice experience and would recommend if you're in the area. Prices are good and good variety of quality food.

I entered with family at Restaurant Devi during the MTL a la table event. The restaurant is super beautiful with a touch of Indian decors. Our waiter was the best ever. We are four people, and we received 3 services for 23$ for each person. First service, the appetizers: chicken 65, Manchurian cauliflowers, Amritsari Machli (fish tandoor), pakoras, samosa. Second service, the main dishes: butter chicken, chicken Chettinand, bhindi sabzi (okra mixed with tomatoes), paneer makhni, including Naan breads, lentils, and basmati then for third service, deserts: ras malai and kheer. Our food was accompanied with great white wine Risling. All these food and drinks were 116$ for four people. It was delicious. We had an wonderful experience of this beautiful restaurant, of the perfect, amiable and professional service, and of the flavorful succulent dishes. Definitely, need to take the advantage of the event MTL à la table.

Got to check out this place during LePoutineWeek. They featured a Butter Me Up poutine and it was really good. I really liked the Indian spin on it; their butterchicken is so good, that it just makes sense you add it on top of fries and cheese curds. I liked how they used potatoes instead of French fries, given how butter chicken is heaven on its self, it gave it a nice balance. I also really liked how the poutine was mountained on top of a naan. Nice touch. My only complaint is that I would have liked it to be spicy. When eating Indian food, I expect a certain kind of spiciness to it and this dish had none. The staff was really friendly and to of everything, needless to say, I will definitely be returning.

Lovely restaurant on Crescent street. The decor and ambiance is just phenomenal and makes it perfect for a casual dinner, date night or any event celebration. The service is excellent as well. We ordered a bunch of dishes : paneer chaat, Kababs, chicken, soup, kurkuri bhindi(crispy okra), Kadhai paneer, baigan bharta(eggplant) and various kinds of naan. Everything was delicious. The highlight of the meal was definitely Paneer chaat and Kurkuri Bhindi(crispy okra). Okra was perfectly crispy and seasoned and is an item that you don't usually find on most Indian restaurants menu. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Good food, and even better service. A great spot for Indian in the neighborhood. Try the mango milk drink (I forget what it's called).

This is a down-to-earth, casual, cozy bistro. Positive energy abounds. The question I have is why it's rated by some pubs as the best restaurant in Canada and fifth best in North America by the NY Times. It's not that it's undeserving of accolades, but it may or not be the best restaurant in Montreal. One could argue. Enjoyed both pastas, chicken liver mousse with radishes and fried chicken, and asparagus salad. The halibut was the only disappointment. It was a bit bland and the sauce failed to elevate it. I'll definitely return on my next visit to Montreal.

Every person on the team seemed fully in sync, effortlessly anticipating what guests needed before they even asked. It's rare to see that level of teamwork executed so smoothly. We ordered: * Le croque-pétoncle (scallop sandwiches) * Brochette de langue de boeuf (beef tongue) * Boeuf de pâturage (raw grass-fed beef) Oursin QC (sea urchin): It was silky, and has that nutty toasted richness from the brown butter. Parfait de foie (liver parfait): It was smooth, and velvety without being heavy. It's the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the meal ends. I still occasionally talk about it. Every dish was thoughtful and balanced, not a single bite needed extra seasoning. The flavors had depth, and precision. And though the scallop sandwiches and dessert didn't quite hit the same high notes for me, but everything else more than made up for it. Amazing food and amazing service! I can't wait to be back again and just for that parfait de foie alone.

The service was friendly but they seemed short staffed that night. We were trying to refill our water glasses but it took a while since I couldn't find any waiter or waitress around. Now let's start with the food: Focaccia: 5/5 bread was warm, toasty and tasty but the dip was the highlight Leeks with smoked mackerel, mustard, tobikko: (2.5/5) too creamy with a hint of mackerel and leeks Calamari chou-fleur, asian pear, chili beurre blanc: (2/5) very soupy and too much cream and not flavorful Black cod miso sauce, daikon, kale: (2.5/5) cod was tender but my bite had too much miso on it. It was extremely salty and not well balanced Beef tartare with mushrooms, Asiago: (1/5) mushy texture and way too much Asiago cheese. Flank steak with burnt chili salsa, szechuan pepper sauce, pickled peppers: (2/5) steak was not tender at all and the sauce was overwhelming Fried sea bass with bok choy, soya, nuoc mam (3/5): presentation was great but too many bones with too little meat. Flavor was good and I enjoyed the warm crispy fish with the Vietnamese style salad Overall, my special dinner was disappointing. I felt like the main ingredient never shined and their cheese or cream or sauce were just too overpowering. I really wanted to like Cadet but it fell short of my expectations.

THIS WAS AMAZING…read more food here was flawless, every dish was absolutely perfect and creative. the ingredients are top shelf quality and put together with tons of care. I had the most amazing meal here. Genuinely the BEST beef tartare i've ever had in my life, it was chopped perfectly and flavor wise just absolute perfection. Rich, cheesy but still fresh and the beef flavor was present and well seasoned. Focaccia was great as well, the grill flavor really stuck with me and was a perfect touch of crunch and flavor. I enjoyed my leeks as well, i've never had them prepared this way so it was a unique touch. Their cocktails were good with some nice twists on classics, I got the oolong old fashion which was a pretty classic old fashion with a slight tea after taste. the highlight of the meal though was the desert . it was brûlée bananas with a chocolate cheesecake and omg that was the best touch to the meal ever. we got the wine pairing with it as well and they went together like bread and butter. the wine was sweet but had a fruitier taste to counteract the richness of the banana and chocolate. it was the most delightful experience and wasn't a bank breaker either. service here was attentive and amazing, extremely friendly and informative. the ambiance was on the fancier side, with darker lighting. during my time in montreal, this restaurant easily took home my favorite.
