We love Chi Chi's but delivery absolutely stinks. For some reason they have downgraded their delivery service while charging more money by using WeGo. Absolutely disgusting. Bad bad decision. I ordered the cheese pizza with black olives, and it was amazing--perfectly baked, full of flavor, and loaded with just the right amount of toppings. Today we had Life Celebration of my Mother. May God rest her soul. We had the best service. The Priest made it so relaxing and casual, with lots of humor. Which we appreciated. Then reception at Chi Chi's, they had no idea. Greeted and seated quickly by Jo (Joanna), drink orders, first. Quick turn around. Ordered our meal. Salads were exactly to our order nice portion, so fresh and so good. Next our main meal, pasta cooked to perfection, meat sauce, cream sauce very generous. We took home 2 large crispy pizza, done to perfection. Jo was a delight and her partner that helped with the salads we customers appreciate that help. Jo was the only server and you couldn't tell, I'm sure her partner was that reason. Thank you kitchen and all mentioned for being the cherry on the Sunday. The family has been enjoying Chi Chi's for over 30-years. They have two locations, this one in Canyon Country, and another one (the Original) in Saugus. I've always gone or done something else when the gang would come here... I never appreciated eating here. That was until last Saturday. First, we don't live here, our home is up north near Seattle. It's a bit of a drive to come here. This last week, vacation time for the blonde girl and I, arrived in Los Angeles with 5 or 6 hours on our hands. The wife rents a car and off we go...lunch at either Bob's Big Boy or on towards Chi Chi's Pizza...Chi Chi's wins. We arrived at 11:05am and they opened for lunch at 11:00am...good timing. We are seated promptly, ordered our drinks...they have a lunch and dinner pasta special...all you can eat, with their original meatless sauce or with meat sauce. Besides the obvious difference between meat and meatless sauce, the original sauce has a distinct yummy flavor. For a couple bucks more, you can add your drink, plus a salad or soup. What a very tasty lunch...so much so that I ordered a second plate. We ordered "springs"...hers meatless and mine with meat sauce. She had a salad with Italian on the side and mozzarella on top, and I had the minestrone soup. Fantastic service and great food. Chi Chi's is not a restaurant chain, they are a family owned and operated small business...they do things right. Of course you know we will be back during our next visit to Southern California...so give them a try. We hope to see you read more

We have been here a couple times before and we just can't stop craving the Italian Roast Beef sandwich!! Such a reasonable price, lots of meat and the bread! Oh my gosh the bread.....crunchy with sesame seeds! Soooo good! The dipping sauce (au jus) is a little different than normal beef dip but so good! It has a little bite to it that makes it even better! Had the lasagna the first time which was one of the best I've ever had! My friend took me to Chi Chi's today for a belated Birthday lunch. We ordered the Eggplant Parmagian and Lasagna. It was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! The service was great too! The restaurant was nice and clean. I highly recommend this place for your next family, birthday or special occasion meal. I've been coming to this location for awhile now and have always had good service and good food, except for last night when we came in to eat for dinner. It wasn't crowded inside, kind of slow night from what we can tell but that might have been because it was after 7pm. We got in and got seated right away in a corner that was tucked away from everyone. However we opted to move ourselves from that table as the hot air from the heater was directed at us, making it a bit uncomfortable. When the waitress came over we told her we switch and she had no issues with it as there wasn't anyone else seated near us in that area of tables. She took down our order and came back with our drinks and some bread. It didn't take long before she came back with our food that was nice and hot, literally are food was steaming. I got the gluten free penne with the pear tomato basil sauce which I haven't gotten before and wanted to try it out as my usual is the pesto. Let's just say there were more tomatoes to pasta ratio on that plate once I started to mix it all together and it was very oily which I didn't like. For almost $18 I would rather have more pasta then a can of tomatoes on my plate.. though now I know I'll just stick with the pesto next time. My mom got alfredo raviolis and my dad had a personal pizza, which they said they really liked. However, the service wasn't great once we got our food. We were all running low on our drinks and the waitress never once came back to ask us how are food was mid eating or if we needed a refill. I think being pushed back in that corner table she literally forgot about us. When we were all done eating, she came over to ask us how the food was tasting and if we needed refills, a little late don't you think? We told her no thanks as we were clearly done eating and asked for the bill and a box for the pizza. She came by dropped it off and then never came back for the check. My mom had to end up walking up front asking for her to take the bill and she noticed she was just chit chatting at a table with other employees. Chi Chi's is the only place where I ordered pizza and the cheese pulls off as you're taking it from the tray. The pizza is so delicious. Customer service has always been awesome. There is plenty of parking at the Canyon Country location. I would definitely return to this Chi Chi's, which I prefer over the Saugus location because it's usually a lot quieter. :) read more

We got a thin crust large pepperoni, a thin crust medium cheese and 16 wings (8 each of two flavors). We got ranch dressing that they may have charged us for too. Ended up spending $93.40. But time after time I hear from other SCV locals that this is the best pizza place so I thought it would be a good starting place for my journey to try every pizza place in SCV. Pizza: 2 stars I can't say my opinion changed much after retrying. There is way too much cheese which ruins the balance of the toppings and sauce. My Bf lives in this town so he's been coming here all his life. Last night was my third time at this restaurant and once more the food did not disappoint. We usually get the sausage pizza and cheese ravioli which are both equally finger licking good. We tried the grilled chicken with veggies for a change and the taste you guys was heavenly. We couldn't help notice that the veggies and chicken were both a size you would imagine food to be and not the usual exaggerated sizes we see at the market. so we were happy to see that. I recently went to lunch here for the ayce spaghetti, may favorite. Food is very good as usual, but the service was dismal and terrible. There's a waitress named Jacqueline who doesn't want to be there to work. Everything she did was perfunctory. No smile, no warmth, no sweetness. All pout service, actually, disservice. She doesn't respond to thank yous, she doesn't check up on you, when you ask for refills she does Even stay for a little bit, she just turns her back on you. Unprofessional and doesn't need to be employed there. She begrudgingly gets food and drink refills as if it's an imposition. I'm not yet finished and instead of asking if I wanted another serving of spaghetti, she brings me the check. I said I want another serving. So while eating she rudely gives me the check. That's rude, in the middle of eating, she gives you the check as if to tell you to that's enough, go already. Chi chi's management need to take note that this is disrespectful and not acceptable, and counsel her accordingly. It ruined an otherwise tasty meal and a happy time I was looking forward to. Hey Jacqueline if you don't want to work there that's fine, find the place where you'll be happy. Don't destroy a finds dining experience I look forward to enjoying. Torn between 3 and 4 stars. A few of the things on the menu I like. The Eggplant Parmigiana, GPF Potatoes, Chi-Chi's Antipasto Salad and of course their complimentary rolls. However there's a few things I'm not a fan of. Their pizza, fresh Pasta, and their Chi-Chi's Chicken Tenders. Plus I think they're food overall is over priced. I've been coming here for a long time. Haven't been in years. Glad I came back. They are still staying true to their original recipes. Pizza was great. We ask for pepperoni to be put on top of the pizza cheese or it will be under the cheese. It's a little pricey, but the food is from scratch. When you think about what you're getting it is not that bad. All the pasta is made fresh. I don't think there is anywhere in the area that does that--even if you drive a bit into the valley--and if there is, the pricing would likely be higher. All of their ingredients are high quality too. Their spaghetti with meat sauce is really hard to beat anywhere. I love all of their pastas. I order the rigatoni with meats sauce on the side and dip it in the cup. Its fun. Sourdough rolls are good if they heat the properly. If they come out and you don't like them ask them for a fresh batch. Sometimes they get a little crispy for my taste. For the grand finale: tiramisu! Go to little Italy in NY, find the 100+yr old Italian places. Or Chicago. Or anywhere. When Chi Chis tiramisu is fresh, it is a tie with multiple joints in NY rated for the best tiramisu. Chi Chis flys theirs in from Italy (from what I remember). Sometimes it sits a little so make sure you ask for it to be fresh. It's really really close to as good as it gets and the only variations that would beat it would come down to style... like more mascarpone for example, but theirs is top tier for sure... look at the pic! My photos aren't the best bc I forgot to take them until the end of the meal. I was enjoying the company and then I had the idea to give them a review... because they deserve it.
