I have to say that this establishment has always had great food. Especially the pasta and pizza. Having said that when Ari and Ivan are working it's just the best. They are so attentive, so pleasant to serve you. Wife and I have been going for years and this review has been long over due. The toppings on the pizza are generous and the clam chowder is fresh and creamy. The blue cheese dressing has chunks of blue cheese unlike many other restaurants.

The family has been enjoying Chi Chi's for over 30-years. They have two locations, this one in Canyon Country, and another one (the Original) in Saugus. I've always gone or done something else when the gang would come here... I never appreciated eating here. That was until last Saturday. First, we don't live here, our home is up north near Seattle. It's a bit of a drive to come here. This last week, vacation time for the blonde girl and I, arrived in Los Angeles with 5 or 6 hours on our hands. The wife rents a car and off we go...lunch at either Bob's Big Boy or on towards Chi Chi's Pizza...Chi Chi's wins. We arrived at 11:05am and they opened for lunch at 11:00am...good timing. We are seated promptly, ordered our drinks...they have a lunch and dinner pasta special...all you can eat, with their original meatless sauce or with meat sauce. Besides the obvious difference between meat and meatless sauce, the original sauce has a distinct yummy flavor. For a couple bucks more, you can add your drink, plus a salad or soup. What a very tasty lunch...so much so that I ordered a second plate. We ordered "springs"...hers meatless and mine with meat sauce. She had a salad with Italian on the side and mozzarella on top, and I had the minestrone soup. Fantastic service and great food. Chi Chi's is not a restaurant chain, they are a family owned and operated small business...they do things right. Of course you know we will be back during our next visit to Southern California...so give them a try. We hope to see you

I've been coming to this location for awhile now and have always had good service and good food, except for last night when we came in to eat for dinner. It wasn't crowded inside, kind of slow night from what we can tell but that might have been because it was after 7pm. We got in and got seated right away in a corner that was tucked away from everyone. However we opted to move ourselves from that table as the hot air from the heater was directed at us, making it a bit uncomfortable. When the waitress came over we told her we switch and she had no issues with it as there wasn't anyone else seated near us in that area of tables. She took down our order and came back with our drinks and some bread. It didn't take long before she came back with our food that was nice and hot, literally are food was steaming. I got the gluten free penne with the pear tomato basil sauce which I haven't gotten before and wanted to try it out as my usual is the pesto. Let's just say there were more tomatoes to pasta ratio on that plate once I started to mix it all together and it was very oily which I didn't like. For almost $18 I would rather have more pasta then a can of tomatoes on my plate.. though now I know I'll just stick with the pesto next time. My mom got alfredo raviolis and my dad had a personal pizza, which they said they really liked. However, the service wasn't great once we got our food. We were all running low on our drinks and the waitress never once came back to ask us how are food was mid eating or if we needed a refill. I think being pushed back in that corner table she literally forgot about us. When we were all done eating, she came over to ask us how the food was tasting and if we needed refills, a little late don't you think? We told her no thanks as we were clearly done eating and asked for the bill and a box for the pizza. She came by dropped it off and then never came back for the check. My mom had to end up walking up front asking for her to take the bill and she noticed she was just chit chatting at a table with other employees. We finally paid and then left, but I guess we know don't come in on a Monday night if you want to get ignored by the staff.

Medium pizza with pepperoni, sausage and bell pepper.

Pizza to go. Pretty good pizza but a quarter slice of bell pepper all over the pizza was just weird. Slices not chunky pieces all over the pizza. Also, never heard of additions and onion not available? Slice or dice the bell pepper.

Their drinks were especially yummy, and the ambiance in the early evening felt relaxed and family-friendly, which we appreciated. As the night went on, the vibe definitely shifted -- the music got louder and people started dancing, turning it more into a lively, party atmosphere. It was fun to see the energy pick up, just something to keep in mind if you're going with kids or looking for a quieter dinner. Overall, a fun spot with good food, solid service, and a great vibe depending on what kind of night you're looking for!

The quality simply did not justify the price, and it was already a topic of discussion at the table before the billing issue arose. What was far more concerning, however, was discovering that the tip amount on my credit card transaction had been increased by more than $10 after the charge was authorized. When I questioned the charge, the merchant acknowledged that the tip amount had been changed. Regardless of the reason, customers should be able to trust that the amount they authorize including the tip, is the amount that appears on their credit card statement. The difficulty I encountered in trying to resolve the issue only added to my frustration. Based on my experience, I would recommend carefully reviewing both your receipt and your credit card statement after visiting.

This is a large,…read morenicely-maintained pool room with assorted other games available (darts and such), a great digital jukebox system, and plenty of TV's playing sports. The decor is "industrial," but it's clean and airy, so there's no sense of being in a "dive" -- in fact, this is a family-friendly place, and I saw some youngish couples playing pool on what seemed to be afternoon dates. The physical bar is relatively small, with only about 8-12 seats, but that's because they're keeping as much space open as possible for game play. The staff was friendly and chatty, and seemed quite intent on making sure everyone had everything they needed. The menu is wider and more interesting than one would expect in a pool hall environment, with creative pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and salads promising a more unique and memorable meal than the average hangout. I opted to try the Pastrami Pizza: a traditional tomato and mozzarella pie topped with what they call "mustard fried pastrami," onions, chopped pickles, and a drizzle of yellow mustard. It's a good-sized pizza, larger than a true individual pie, and enough for 2 people to share. The pastrami was savory without being too salty, while the pickles, onions and mustard all added nice pops of flavor without feeling like a gimmick. My one disappointment was that the pizza was not prepared well-done as requested, making the crust more doughy than crisp. Also, the temperature in the venue was darn near frigid, so my pizza got cold very quickly, which reduced my ability to enjoy it as much as I would have if the pie had been piping hot. Other food being enjoyed in close proximity to me looked and smelled very good (wings and burgers), and like I said, the people were all top notch hosts. So, while the final pizza prep could use some improvement, I think these folks are doing a very good job of making bar food that's more interesting and memorable than you'll find anywhere else in the area. Definitely stop in and give them a whirl.
