i'm from oregon and came to chi chi's specifically because of my boyfriend and his parents talking to highly of it. i was already anticipating good things, but i was absolutely blown out of the water. the food was to die for and the restaurant was beautiful. you can go there casually or for a special occasion. i had the chicken ravioli with their white sauce and my boyfriend had a pizza. i think i'll be dreaming about it for years. the service was great and our server nicki was just amazing. she was so patient with all my questions and all her recommendations were perfect. we will definitely be back and we will absolutely request to be in nicki's section again! read more

Wish there were more of these everywhere because it's always so good! Walked in and was instantly greeted and seated by a friendly host. He was super nice! Within seconds our server Reyna came and took our drink orders and gave us some tasty suggestions. She was super friendly and on it!!! Food came out perfectly and tasted amazing! Love Chi Chi's pizza! It's not overly sauced which is my preference. We were seated quickly but the service itself was slow. It's fine. Our waiter was working a lot of tables and it looked like they could've been short staffed. He was nice though & attentive when he could be. Since 1975 I've been coming here for their pizza, pasta, salads and broasted chicken. For the first time in 50 years I ordered the chicken Parmesan. It was delicious and I feel bad that I never had had it before. My wife and I shared it and a small and apostle salad and everything was terrific. After an absence of some 18 years since our first and only other visit to Chi Chi's, my wife suggested them for dinner tonight. That one prior visit was for takeout only and that was for a pizza which we thought had crust too thin for our liking. But one memory of Chi Chi's that has stayed with me all these years? Was a platter of their sizzling hot golden fried chicken as a waitress passed by with it, while we awaited our pizza. This was finally my chance to sample their Golden Pressure Fried Chicken, A La Carte; with Pressure Fried Potatoes and a Roll included. So that was my order to Raymon our server, as well as a lemonade. For her, it was a Ciabatta Chicken Sandwich. A very pleasant environment that has held up quite well through the years. Wait times can be a bit lengthy. But everything arrives piping hot and the large portion sizes help to justify the above average pricing. With half a chicken on my plate, I gladly shared. I finished two of my remaining pieces and saved one for lunch the following day. The verdict? Not bad, I must admit. Very well seasoned, almost on the verge of being overly. But okay. The pressured potatoes weren't bad either; I may have finished 1 1/2 of the I believe initial 4. While wifey just managed nearly half of her sandwich. Also lunch for tomorrow. Raymon was very responsive to our every request. And always with a delightful attitude. Even offering to refill my glass of lemonade. We could learn to put Chi Chi's in our mix. Why not? I've giving a 4 because this place has been my go to since childhood..... I'd rate it a 1 recently due to their extremely poor customer service. I know they don't "take reservations" but I called with a heads up AND got there a HALF HOUR early for my group...... While they eventually accommodated during a completely empty restaurant....it was very unwelcoming the way they treated me through the process. They have 90% of their air ventilators CUT OFF COMPLETELY so I got there early to ask for one of the AC ventilated rooms..... it was a fight. It shouldn't have been. read more

I've been going to Chi Chi's pizza 54 years. Whenever my daughter comes to town, she always asked to go to Cici's. It's Nostalgic and traditional for us. It brings up memories from her childhood and feels like home. Been going to this restaurant my whole life! Well known in SCV for being a great Italian place, comfortable, welcoming, and most of the servers have been there forever and know you! All of the food is fresh, you can watch the open kitchen roll out pizza dough and cook. Fantastic for groups, families, dates etc. the portions are generous, come and get some wine or a pitcher of beer and pizza! Best pizza in Santa Clarita. The kids love to watch them working through the window. It's a family atmosphere, no frills, but good service. The pasta and other food is about as good as anywhere else, but my mouth waters just thinking about the pizza. Something about the the cheese is just different--buttery, creamy. My only note is that we ordered a sausage pizza with sliced jalapeño, and they inexplicably sliced the jalapeños lengthwise, which was an odd choice. But the pizza was freaking delicious anyway, so I cannot take away any stars. read more

A long time family go-to spot. Has an old school vibe to it, not fancy but nice enough for an Italian restaurant. The food is always good. The bread rolls they give you while you wait are always warm. We always order the Antipasto salad and a Margarita Pizza, 10/10. I'll sometimes order a pasta dish instead and am never disappointed. First, I don't why people love this place so much. Their food is mediocre at best but people sure love it. So I go there with my wife and in-laws, people who love it, and we order the following: medium pizza two toppings, three salads, pasta and red sauce, meatball sandwich, two beers and two cokes, and it's $124.00. It is absolutely insane how much they charge AND they charge for the rolls which were the only thing I like at the place. Really, you charge me that much and you can't throw in a friggin roll? And then I'm supposed to tip another 25 dollars, $150.00 for Chi Chi's? And finally, their pizza is really lacking. I can think of several places that are far better. Our server was Nikki, and she recommended really great items, and everything we ate was great. My only regret was not coming here sooner. We got a 3 topping pizza, and antipasto salad. We visited on Saturday Nov. 8th in the afternoon. I live in Orange County and this is where we love to go when we visit our kids. Oh my goodness, everything was sooooo good. We were a party of five, including a child. We had pizza and several pasta dishes, including spaghetti and chicken parmesan; all were wonderful! The service, by Edoja, was above and beyond for us. I used to lunch at Lido's Pizza in San Fernando Valley when I worked in the area and after learning that Chi-Chi's and Lido's were associated, I didn't doubt we would like this place when we moved here in 2007. Been coming here since and celebrating birthdays here have become a family tradition. Ambiance is casual. Booths and decor are a little outdated. To me it's like a late 80's/early 90's feel, but I come for the food and service. I can honestly say that we've never had bad service or even questionable service here. Food is always consistent with taste and presentation. Warm bread rolls and butter are served when dining in. They also have Italian Cream Sodas in a variety of different flavors and the cream is served on the side. There's plenty of options on their menu, not just pasta and pizza. The clam chowder and salads are pretty good too and I highly recommend their Golden Wings. They also have a kids menu. read more

But they did try to redeem themselves, our server was sweet, only because I think she realized she had messed up so badly... but I will give it that she did try and she was helpful after the mess up at the beginning...We came in separately and my husband was sat ahead of me..when I came in I asked the host where my husband was seated and described him...he pointed to the back of the restaurant...instead of taking me to him...I walked around aimlessly for a few minutes looking for him( tucked into a corner) where we sat...and sat and sat some more...and just as we were about to leave because I saw two other couples seated and served drinks, our server finally saw us and came to take our order....still not offering us drinks...she took our order and was taking our menus and my husband quickly added and I will have a water and my wife will have an iced tea...because I was hangry enough to just cancel everything and leave...and we all know this girl like her pizza and her food in general....after this very rocky start this place kinda redeemed themselves...the wings were good, nice and crispy had a good kick to the spice...however, they came out with the pizza so they're not an really appetizer...our server did warn us of this so points there...the pizza although nice and Chicago style with the cheese on top of the toppings, the dough was thick and a little tasteless, the sauce was very tomatoey not a good blend of spice and sweet...the cheese saved it by being a great Mozzarella...even as it started to cool it didn't become rubbery which is a definite sign of quality cheese... All in all we were not impressed with the service, or really the food...they did redeem themselves towards the end...not my first choice in this area...more of a three and 1/2 stars. read more

Let me start that by saying we have been a customer since I was 16 in 1976. 49 years as a customer. We have been to the Saugus, Northridge, Canyon Counrty .....Lido Pizza on Victory. We have eaten at all of these locations over 500 times ( added together or about once a month) in that 49 years. The food has always been good portions, prices are fair, excellent servers & above expectations the quality of the food. Some of that changed after Covid. Prices went up more than expected ( like at many restaurants ). Very frustrating for sure. Servers from BoBo to Claire to name a few at the Saugus location have made us feel like family. That all changed when they told me the SourDough rolls were going to cost me $2.50 for 2 or I think $4.50 for 4. I'm sorry, if I go to Rattlers BBQ or Wood Ranch BBQ... 4 rolls for 2 people are STILL FREE. If I go to Don Cuzco's chips are free and unlimited. Today my Wife & I went to Chi Chi's and again I was told I had to pay for rolls, and I said really.... You're still wanting to charge me.... I'll pass. I spent $62.00 for 2 small salads, and a medium pizza with 2 topping and 2 ice teas and we didn't qualify for the basket of 4 Rolls..... I believe if you order $18.50 pasta with meat sauce they are free. I will not stop going to Chi Chi's but I will definitely frequent other restaurants that value their customers. Yes it's only $2.50 or $4.50 but it's to me as if you get a cup of coffee and the 2nd is not free anymore. I hope the owners realize it's not worth losing an almost 50 year customer And my kids and grandkids all feel the same. read more
